Interval Scan Inspection Technique for Contact Failure of Advanced DRAM Process using Electron Beam-Inspection System

  • We have developed a highly sensitive inspection technique based on an electron beam inspection for detecting the contact failure of a poly-Si plugged layer. It was difficult to distinguish the contact failure from normal landing plugs with high impedance. Normally, the thermal annealing method has been used to decrease the impedance of poly-Si plugs and this method increases the difference of charged characteristics and voltage contrast. However, the additional process made the loss of time and broke down the device characteristics. Here, the interval scanning method without thermal annealing was effectively applied to enhance the difference of surface voltage between well-contacted poly-Si plugs and incomplete contact plugs. It is extremely useful to detect the contact failures of non-annealed plug contacts with high impedance.

축류 압축기 블레이드 손상시 터빈부품에 미치는 영향 (Effects of the Damaged Axial-flow Compressor Blade on the Gas Turbine Components)

  • The ruptured blade which is rotating at high speed can damage severely the all stage compressor blades and the turbine components. If the shattered blades flow downstream inside the turbine parts, then the turbine blades and vanes can be damaged. The small parts of shattered blades which are flowed into the turbine parts pass through without any damages in the leading edge of the first stage stationary blades. Then they bump against the convex side of the leading edge of the first stage moving blades and the trailing edge of the first stage stationary blades repeatedly. The debris of shattered blades may plug the cooling holes in the turbine blades and vanes. The dent damage and the coating delamination could be also occurred by the debris of shattered blades flowed downstream inside the combustion liner and the transition piece. This paper analyzes the influence on the turbine components and the damage mechanism and characteristics in case of the damaged blade of the multiple-stage axial flow compressor.

  • Integrated switched reluctance motor drive as an electric vehicle battery charger is presented in this paper. The SRM, which is used as the traction power in the driving mode, is used in the charge circuit to improve the power factor of charging system. The charging circuit can share the power switches of the asymmetric converter and phase windings of SRM to charge the battery, and can reduce the size and cost of the system in the plug-in system. To keep the rotor at standstill, zero torque control method is proposed. Since the inductances of the SRM windings are not same at any stop position, the charger controller controls the reference current to satisfy the total charging current with PFC and zero torque condition. A novel cubic equation method is proposed as a current reference distributor of the charging controller. Simulations are performed by MATLAB software and results satisfy the Effectiveness of proposed battery charging system.

  • This paper is the experimental study to estimate the influence of various design parameters on the performance of mufflers with perforated tubes and through-flow partitions. Muffler types considered in the present work include through-flow chamber, through-flow chamber with partition, and cross-flow chamber. The influences of the design parameters on the performance of the mufflers can be outlined as follows. In the case of the through-f]ow type mufflers, increasing the tube thickness and the hole diameter of the perforated tubes does not change the maximum value of the transmission loss but decrease the cutoff frequency. In the case of the through-flow with partitions type mufflers, it is shown that combining a fe w short chambers and long chambers can modify the frequency locations of the resonance frequencies to optimize the performance of the mufflers. For the case of the cross-flow type mufflers, it is shown that the transmission loss of the mufflers is mainly affected by the lower porosity when the porosities are different in both sides of the plug. Overall, it is shown that performance of the through-flow type with partition type mufflers is excellent in the lower frequency region, where the cross-flow type mufflers have better performance in the higher frequency region.

  • This paper describes the process of optimal resonant frequency design with full-bridge series-loaded resonant dc-dc converter in a high efficiency 3.3 kW on-board battery charger application for Electric Vehicles and Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicles. The optimal range of resonant frequency and switching frequency used for ZVS are determined by considering trade-off between loss of switching devices and resonant network with size of passive/magnetic devices. In addition, it is defined charging region of battery, the load of on-board charger, as the area of load by deliberating the characteristic of resonant. It is verified the designed frequency band by reflecting the defined area on resonant frequency.

STUDY ON PRE-MIXTURE COMBUSTION IN A SUB-CHAMBER TYPE CVC WITH MULTIPLE PASSAGE HOLES

  • An experimental study was carried out to obtain the fundamental data about the effect of sub-chamber on pre-mixture combustion. A eve (constant volume combustor) divided into a sub-chamber and a main chamber was used in this experiment. The volume of the sub-chamber was varid trom $0.45\%$ to $1.4\%$ about the whole combustion chamber. The sub-chamber has twelve narrow radial passage holes and a spark plug to ignite the pre-mixture. As the ignition occurs in the sub-chamber by a spark discharge, burned and unburned gas including a great number of radicals is injected into the main chamber, then the multi-point ignition occurs in the main chamber. The combustion pressure is measured to calculate the burning velocity mainly as a function of the sub-chamber volume, the diameter of the passage holes, and the equivalence ratio. In the case of RI (radical ignition) methods, the overall burning time became very short and the maximum burning pressure was slightly increased as compared with that of SI (spark ignition) method. The optimum design value of the sub-chamber is near 0.11 $cm^{-l}$ in the ratio of total area of holes to the sub-chamber volume.

Random-Oriented (Bi,La)4Ti3O12 Thin Film Deposited by Pulsed-DC Sputtering Method on Ferroelectric Random Access Memory Device

  • A ferroelectric $(Bi,La)_4Ti_3O_{12}$ (BLT) thin film fabricated by the pulsed-DC sputtering method was evaluated on a cell structure to check its compatibility to high density ferroelectric random access memory (FeRAM) devices. The BLT composition in the sputtering target was $Bi_{4.8}La_{1.0}Ti_{3.0}O_{12}$. Firstly, a BLT film was deposited on a buried Pt/$IrO_x$/Ir bottom electrode stack with W-plug connected to the transistor in a lower place. Then, the film was finally crystallized at $700^{\circ}C$ for 30 seconds in oxygen ambient. The annealed BLT layer was found to have randomly oriented and small ellipsoidal-shaped grains (long direction: ~100 nm, short direction: ~20 nm). The small and uniform-sized grains with random orientations were considered to be suitable for high density FeRAM devices.

HTML5 기반 HTTP 스트리밍 환경에서의 서비스 이동성 연구 (A Study on Service Migration in HTML5 based HTTP Streaming Environments)

  • 최근, W3C에서는 웹을 통해서 스트리밍 서비스뿐 만아니라 다양한 멀티미디어 서비스를 제공할 수 있는 기능을 포함한 HTML5에 대한 표준화가 추진 중이다. HTML5 이전의 웹 환경에서는 별도의 플러그인이 설치되어야 스트리밍 서비스를 이용할 수 있으나, HTML5 기반 웹 브라우저에서는 내장된 비디오 코덱을 이용하여 스트리밍 서비스를 직접 이용할 수 있다. 또한, 인터넷 방화벽에 의해 서비스되지 않는 RTP/UDP를 이용한 스트리밍 대신 HTTP/TCP를 이용하여 적응적으로 스트리밍하는 기술이 표준화 중이다. 본 논문에서는 현재 표준이 이루어지고 있는 HTML5 기반 적응적 HTTP 스트리밍 환경에서 스트리밍 서비스 세션 이동성을 보장할 수 있는 방안을 제시한다. 제안된 알고리듬과 구조를 이용하여 다양한 단말들 사이에 미디어 흐름, 미디어 흐름 제어, 세션 제어를 전달할 수 있도록 자바스크립트 언어로 모델링 및 구현하였으며 다양한 실험을 통하여 다양한 단말 간 HTTP 스트리밍 서비스를 효과적으로 전달할 수 있음을 보였다.

CATIA API를 활용한 프레스금형 트림스틸 설계 자동화 S/W 모듈 개발 (Development of A Software Tool for Automatic Trim Steel Design of Press Die Using CATIA API)

  • 본 논문은 자동차 프레스 절단 금형의 설계 자동화를 위한 설계 지원 툴 개발에 관한 연구을 다룬다. 현업에서 진행하는 자동차 패널 절단 공정 금형설계 프로세스를 분석하고 패턴을 가지는 반복 작업들을 그룹화 하여 자동화 모듈을 개발하였다. 제안하는 시스템은 절단금형 스틸파트를 자동 생성하는 템플릿 모델과 자동 생성된 절단금형 스틸파트를 자동 배치하는 UI 기능의 두 가지 모듈로 구성 하였다. 템플릿 모델은 트림스틸 설계에 활용되는 유형들을 고려하여 4가지 종류로 개발하였으며, 자동생성시 오류발생을 제로화 하기 위해 벡터 내적과 외적을 활용하여 설계기준이 되는 점, 선, 곡선, 면, 곡면의 방향을 체크 하고 바로잡는 방향성 제어 관계식 룰을 구현 하였다. 개발한 시스템을 대표 상용 CAD시스템 중 하나인 CATIA V5의 확장 메뉴형태로 탑재하기 위하여 CATIA Knowledgeware, CATIA SDK, Visual C++를 사용하여 개발하였다. 제안하는 시스템을 다양한 자동차 외관 패널에 적용한 결과 전통적인 방법에 비해 약 74%의 시간감축 효과를 얻을 수 있었다.

HTML5을 활용한 실시간 영상 스트리밍 시스템 (A Study on HTML5 using Real-time Video Streaming System)

  • 현재 대다수 스트리밍 서비스들은 특정 S/W나 별도의 프로그램 설치를 통해 실시간 스트리밍 서비스를 지원하는 실정이고, 저장되는 영상에 대해 저장의 종료 전까지는 영상에 대해 편집 및 사용이 불가능 하였다. 이에 본 논문에서는 사용자가 저장하고 있는 영상에 대해 멀티스레드 기법을 적용한 시스템을 기반으로 별도의 플러그인이나 프로그램의 설치 없이 HTML5을 활용하여 웹 콘텐츠를 제작, 웹 브라우저를 이용한 실시간 스트리밍 시스템을 기술한다. 이는 스트리밍 실시간으로 저장되는 영상에 대해 편집 및 사용이 가능하며, 실시간 커뮤니케이션 및 미디어 공유를 필요로 하는 웹 서비스 및 스트리밍 분야에 활용될 것이다.
