다합금계 백주철의 탄화물 및 기지조직이 내마모성에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Carbide and Matrix Structures on Abrasion Wear Resistance of Multi-Component White Cast Iron)

  • The effects of carbide and matrix structures on the abrasion wear resistance of multi-component white cast irons with 3.0 mass%C have been studied in this paper. Four different heats were poured in order to obtain the specimens with different combinations of the carbide structures: a basic iron(3.0 mass%C-5.0 mass%Cr-5.0 mass%V-5.0 mass% Mo-12.5mass%W)for M$_{6}$C and M$_{7}$C$_{3}$ carbides, and a Cr free iron(3.0 mass%C-5.0 mass%V-2.5mass%Mo-12.5 mass%W) for MC and M6C carbides. A conventional high Cr free free iron(3.0 mass%C-5.0 mass%V-2.5 mass%Mo-12.5 mass%W) for MC and M6C carbides. A conventional high Cr white cast iron was also poured to compare its wear resistance with those of the multi-component white cast irons. In the as-cast condition, the range of abrasive wear rate(Rw=mg/min) was from 4.15 to 5.98 . The lowest Rw, which means the highest wear resistance, was obtained in the basic iron with nodular MC, lamellar M$_{2}$C and cellular M$_{7}$C$_{3}$ carbides. On the other hand, the Rw of the high Cr white cast iron ranked between the basic iron and the Mo and W free iron. In each alloy, the Rw of air hardened or tempered specimen was lower than that of the as-cast one because of the change of matrix structures by the heat treatments. The Rw of the hear treated speci-mens increased in the order Mo and W free iron, basic iron, Cr free iron, high Cr iron, and V free iron.n.n.n.

몽골 중부 둘란하이한 지역의 W-Mo 부존 특성 (Characteristics of W-Mo Mineralization in Dulaankhaikhan area, Mongolia)

  • 한국지질자원연구원과 몽골 광물자원청은 몽골 항가이 희유금속 광화대 내 둘란하이한 W-Mo 산출지에 대해 공동조사를 하였다. 몽골 항가이 희유금속 광화대 둘란하이한 W-Mo 산출지에 대한 지질광상 조사결과 텅스텐 함량이 높은 광화점들을 발견하였고 텅스텐 광석 광물은 철망간중석, 철중석, 망간중석으로 분석되었다. 실루리아기 호톤트 층의 규암에서 채취한 시료의 텅스텐($WO_3$) 함량이 0.11-4.43%로 분석되었고, 페름기 델거한 복합체의 페그마타이트에서 채취한 시료의 텅스텐 함량이 137-3844ppm으로 분석되었다. 조사지역에서 채취한 시료들의 전체 $R_2O_3$의 평균값은 473ppm으로 지각의 평균 함량인 200ppm에 비해 약 2.5 배 정도 되는 값을 가지며 가장 높은 시료는 1326ppm으로 약 6.5 배 정도 되는 값을 갖는 것으로 분석되었다. 요인분석 결과에 따르면 둘란하이한 지역 내 텅스텐 함량이 높은 두 지역의 광화 작용은 상관관계의 유사성을 보이며 따라서 유사한 기원을 갖는 것으로 판단된다.

경상분지 남동부의 산내화강암과 산내 W-MO 광상에 관한 유체포유물 연구 (A Fluid inclusion study of the Sannae granite and the associated Sannae W-Mo deposit, Southeastern Kyongsang Basin)

  • Fluid inclusions in granite and hydrothermal quartz indicate that three fluids have affected the Sannae granite. The earliest fluid is represented by three-phase aqueous fluid inclusions with high salinity (38 to 46 wt.% NaCl equiv.). It was exsolves from a crystallizing melt and trapped at a relatively high-pressure condition. The secong fluid is represented by two-phase aqueous fluid inclusion with low entectic temperatures (< $-40^{\circ}C$). low- to moderate salinity (3 to 24.0 wt.% NaCl equiv.) and high homogenization temperatures$ ($309^{\circ}C$$473^{\circ}C$)($. This fluid was trapped at higher pressures than 300-500 bars and precipitated molybdenite and wolframite in quartz veins. It was probably generted by fluid-host rock interactions since they show a wide range of salinity within a narrow range of homogenization temperatures. The final fluid is represented by an aquenous fluid boiling that separated into high-salinity (34-38 wt.% NaCl equiv.) and low-salinity fluid (0 to 8.7 wt.%) at $303-376^{\circ}C$ and 50-150 bars. These boiling fluids precipitated euhedral quartz in miarolitic cavities. The compositions of the final fluid was rather complex in the $H_2$O-NaCl-KCI-$FeCl_2$ system. The Sannae granite was a locus for repeated fluid events including magmatic fluids during the final stage of crystallization, the convection of hydrothermal fluids causing a fluid ascending, fluid boiling, and the local W-Mo mineralization and formation of miarolitic cavities due to thermal, tectonic and compositional properties of the felsic granite.

  • Two kinds of steels whose compositions were Fe-34.4Cr-14.5Ni-2.5Mo-0.4W-0.4Mn-0.5Si-(0.009 or 0.35)S (wt.%) were centrifugally cast, and oxidized at $900^{\circ}C$ for 50-350 h in order to find the effect of sulfur on the high-temperature oxidation of Fe-34.4Cr-14.5Ni-2.5Mo-0.4W-0.4Mn-0.5Si-(0.009 or 0.35)S (wt.%) alloys. These alloys formed oxide scales that consisted primarily of $Cr_2O_3$ as the major oxide and $Cr_2MnO_4$ as the minor one through preferential oxidation of Cr and Mn. They additionally formed $SiO_2$ particles around the scale/alloy interface as well as inside the matrices. The high affinity of Mn with S led to the formation of scattered MnS inclusions particularly in the 0.35S-containing cast alloy. Sulfur was harmful to the oxidation resistance, because it deteriorated the scale/alloy adherence so as to accerelate the adherence and compactness of the formed scales.

  • 황산용액에서 Alamine 336에 의한 몰리브덴과 텅스텐의 분리에 대해 수상의 pH와 추출제의 농도를 변화시키 며 조사했다. 수상의 pH가 3에서 5사이의 범위에서 낮은 농도의 아민에 의해 몰리브덴이 선택적으로 추출되었 다. Alamine 336과 양이온 추출제를 혼합하면 두 금속간의 분리인자가 다음 순서와 같이 증가했다 : D2EPHA > PC88A > Decanol > Versatic acid. Alamine 336과 D2EHPA의 혼합용매에서 몰리브덴과 텅스텐의 탈거율은 매 우 낮았으나, Alamine 336과 Decanol의 혼합용매의 경우 $NH_4OH$$NH_4Cl$의 혼합용액으로 두 금속을 모두 탈 거할 수 있었다.

  • 고온-고압의 장시간 사용으로 나타나게 되는 재료열화현상을 이해하고 구조건전성 모니터링을 위한 기초연구로 사용하고자 대표적인 로터용 내열강인 2.25CrMo 강과 9CrMo 강 그리고 12CrW 강을 연구하였다. 재료열화를 모니터링하기 위해 2.25CrMo 강은 등온열화 시험을 9CrMo 강은 크리프-피로 시험을 그리고 12CrW 강은 크리프 시험을 각 단계별로 수행하였다. 이들 각 손상재에 대한 초음파전파특성, 비저항측정 그리고 보자력측정을 통하여 미세조직 의존성을 고찰하였고 이들 파라미터는 특정 미세조직의 변화에 상당히 민감하게 작용하였다.

X20CrMoV121강과 2.25Cr1Mo강 용접부의 ASP 시험과 CVN 충격 시험의 상관관계에 대한 연구 (A Study on the Correlation between Advanced Small Punch Test and Charpy V-notch Test on X20CrMoV121 and 2.25Cr1Mo steels Weldment)

  • Charpy V-Notch test is commonly used to evaluate fracture toughness. However, since the region to be evaluated is limited to bulk material due to the specimen size required, individual evaluation of micro-structures on weldment is very difficult. In this study, ASP(Advanced Small Punch) test was carried out to evaluate material degradation and fracture toughness on the B.M, W.M and each micro-structures of HAZ for X20CrMoV121 and 2.25Cr1Mo steels with artificial aging time. In addition, to evaluate fracture toughness and material degradation of B.M and W.M of X20CrMoV121 steels with aging times, CVN (Charpy V-notch) test was performed. And then the correlation between ASP and CVN test on X20CrMoV121 steels was obtained. Furthermore, through this correlation, material degradation property of each micro-region of the HAZ in weldment, which was impossible to be evaluated by the CVN test, can be estimated and determined.

Heat Sink용 Mo-Cu 합금 재료의 열적 특성 (A Study on the Thermal Properties of Mo-Cu Composites as a Heat Sink Material)

  • In Mo-Xwt%Cu compound, Physical and thermal properties were systematically evaluated in terms of Cu contents and sintering temperature. Typically Cu contents were varied from 15 to 25wt% and also the Sintering temperatures were changed from $1115^{\circ}C$ to $1350^{\circ}C$. In physical properties, Mo-15~25wt%Cu has the maximum density of 95% while Mo-20wt%Cu has the maximum thermal conductivity of 165.179[${\mu}/m^{\circ}C$] at sintering temperature of $1300^{\circ}C$. Especially, Mo-25wt%Cu has the maximum hardness of 173.4 at sintering temperature of $1150^{\circ}C$ and the maximum thermal expansion of 9.0[W/mK] as the specimen heated in the range of temperature from $50^{\circ}C$ to $400^{\circ}C$. Based on electrical conductivity measurements, the relative density increased within creasing Cu contents and the values were in the range of 100~150[W/mK].

박막 게이트 절연체 위에서 Ta-Mo 합금의 안정성 (Stability of Ta-Mo alloy on thin gate dielectric)

  • This paper investigated the stability of Ta-Mo alloy on thin gate dielectric. Ta-Mo alloy was deposited by using co-sputtering process after thermal growing of 3.4nm and 4.2nm silicon dioxide. When the sputtering power of Ta and Mo were 100W and 70W, respectively, the suitable work function for NMOS gate electrode, 4.2eV, could obtain. To prove interface thermal stability of thin film gate dielectric and Ta-Mo alloy, rapid thermal annealing was performed at $600^{\circ}C$ and $700^{\circ}C$ for 10sec in Ar ambient. The results of interface reaction were surveyed by change of silicon dioxide thickness and work function after annealing process. Also, the reliability of alloy gate and gate dielectric could be confirmed by quantity of leakage current. Ta-Mo alloy was showed low sheet resistance and thermal stability, namely, little change of gate dielectric and work function, after $700^{\circ}C$ annealing process.

Phase Transformation by the Oxidation of Air-passivated W and Mo Nanopowders Produced by an Electrical Explosion of Wires

  • The passivation and oxidation process of tungsten and molybdenum narlopowders, produced by electrical explosion of wires was studied by means of FE-SEM, XPS. XRD, TEM, DIA-TGA and sire distribution analysis. In addition, the phase transformation of W and Mo nanopowders under oxidation in air was investigated. A chemical process is suggested for the oxidation of W and Mo nano-particles after a comprehensive testing of passivated and oxidized powders.
