Purpose : This study examined the effect of a home visit cognitive training program that uses a tablet-based digital recognition rehabilitation application, Brain Doctor, on local elderly people's cognitive function and depression. Methods : This study featured 20 elderly people living in Busan Metropolitan City, South Korea, who received a voucher for a home visit service to prevent dementia. The subjects were evenly divided into an intervention group provided with Brain Doctor and a control group provided with a conventional cognitive training program. Korean version of Mini Mental State Examination (MMSE-K) and Korean version of Montreal Cognitive Assessment (K-MoCA) were used to assess cognitive function in each group. Patient Health Questionnaire-9 (PHQ-9) was used to evaluate the depression levels. Results : The intervention group showed a significant change in cognitive function and depression after the intervention (p<.05). There was a statistically significant change in cognitive function and depression between the intervention and control groups (p<.05). Conclusion : This study confirmed that Brain Doctor had a positive effect on the cognitive function and depression of elderly people in the local community. It is expected to become a useful home visit program for dementia prevention in the future.

The purpose of this study is to identify factors that affect the cost of rehabilitation services for people with congenital disabilities. The subjects of this study were 712 persons who had a disability from prenatal life from data of the 2020 National Survey of the Disabled Persons. 19-40 years, middle-class economic status, monthly family income level, use of vouchers, satisfaction with service institutions, autistic disability types significantly contributed to the cost of rehabilitation services. Among them use of vouchers had the greatest influence on the cost of rehabilitation services. Therefore, in order to reduce the cost of rehabilitation services for people with the congenital disabilities, it is suggested to improve the target of the voucher program and to establish a rehabilitation service support system for the entire life span.

A northern lineage plant, Stellaria filicaulis (Caryophyllaceae), was newly found in Yeoncheon-gun, Gyeonggi-do of South Korea. This species is distributed in China, Japan, Korea, Mongolia, and Russia. On the Korean Peninsula, St. filicaulis, however, has been known to grow in North Korea. Species identification was confirmed using morphological characteristics and DNA sequence data, while comparing with materials obtained from herbarium specimens. Stellaria filicaulis is distinguished from St. longifolia by having smooth surface of stem, petals about twice longer than sepals. On the neighbor-joining tree, St. filicaulis formed a clade, and the species is closely related to St. longifolia of the Parviflorae clade. Details of the morphological characters, the type specimens, voucher specimens data, and photographs of St. filicaulis in South Korea are presented. In addition, it is likely that a new habitat will be found by plant biodiversity field surveys through the middle part of the Korean Peninsula. Further research is needed to determine its population size, distribution, and threats, as well as identify appropriate locations for conservation collection of germplasm.

The Yellow-dotted butterflyfish, Chaetodon selene is newly reported from Korea based on a single juvenile specimen (28.6 mm SL) collected from rocky reef of the Jwasarido Island, southern Korea. The present specimen represents the first reliable record of C. selene from Korea supported by a voucher specimen. The specimen is characterized by having 12 spines of dorsal fin, and a dark lunate-shaped marking on posterior half of body as well as a vertical black bar crossing eye. A new Korean name, "No-rang-jeom-na-bi-go-gi", is adopted for the species.

Neozoarces pulcher, the Tape Blenny, is limitedly distributed in cold waters of the northwestern Pacific. Although N. pulcher has been known to occur on the coast of Hamgyeong-do in Korea, it has never been described on the basis of a voucher specimen collected from the Korean Peninsula. Recently, N. pulcher was collected from the coast of Goseong-gun, Gangwon-do of middle East Sea, and a morphological description is provided here for the first time. This species is characterized by the presence of a dermal flap on top of the snout, 43 spines and 57 soft rays on the dorsal fin, a single spine and 81 soft rays on the anal fin, 10 pectoral fin rays, and 100 vertebrae. This specimen confirms that, the species occurs south of Hamgyeong-do.

Purpose: The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of customer-based brand equity on brand attitudes and behavioral intentions in the mobile e-coupon service market for foodservice franchises. Research design, data, and methodology: The sample comprised customers who had used a chicken mobile exchange voucher from a foodservice franchise brand, among KakaoTalk gift mobile exchange vouchers, within the last three months. The survey was conducted by distributing an online self-administered questionnaire, in which participants responded directly. The hypotheses were assessed through confirmatory factor analysis and structural equation modeling using the AMOS 22.0 statistical software. Result: The results of the hypotheses are as follows. First, among the sub-dimensions of foodservice franchise customer-based equity, brand awareness, brand image, perceived quality, and brand loyalty were found to have a positive effect on brand attitudes toward foodservice franchise mobile e-coupon services. Second, brand attitude toward the foodservice franchise brand mobile e-coupon service was found to have a positive effect on the intention to use and word-of-mouth. Conclusions: The results suggest that foodservice franchise brands with strong customer-based brand equity also have a competitive advantage in the mobile e-coupon service market.

This is a study to review provision and production system of social services in European welfare states and find out implications to Korea. Firstly, trends of social service extension and reorganization in welfare state restructuring process, and approaches in interventions to social service system are theoretically discussed. In this discussion, we focus on the discussion of Jessop's workfare in social service extension and reorganization and the concept of innovation in intervention to social service system by state. Then, In order to look at details of reorganization of social service system through restructuring of European welfare states, German case is reviewed. In this review, the reorganization of social service provision and production system in Germany is analyzed through the comparison with the pre-existing system in terms of relationships with public sector as well as between public and private sector respectively. Finally, implications of the European and German experiences to Korea are explored. In order to do so, the state of social services in Korea is examined whilst comparing to the European development process of social services. Also, pros and cons of the electronic voucher scheme, which transforming the social service provision system in Korea, are discussed then challenges in Korean social service delivery system are discussed.

Gift-giving is a special behavior where both givers and receivers are interactively involved. Thus, emotion and satisfaction for both sides are core factors in gift-giving research. Recently, gift-giving expands to a mobile venue by the growth of the industries in Korea. In accordance with this trend, some studies have been conducted regarding mobile gifts called 'Gifticon'. However, most of them focused on the phenomenon based on the usage patterns and motives from the perspectives of givers. This study aimed (1) to figure out the emotional differences according to the action of giving Gifticons, and (2) to understand the effects of role and intimacy on the level of gift satisfaction. The results showed that, recipients felt higher levels of positive emotions such as excitement and thrill than givers whereas givers had different levels of gift-satisfaction depending on the intimacies to the receivers. This study is expected to suggest marketing strategies by providing psychological contemplations to a new form of gift-giving behavior, which is expanding toward a new mobile market. Further, it also suggests managerial implications by understanding the level of consumers' satisfaction from the role in Gifticon-giving situations and the intimacies between givers and recipients.

Since a smart phone has been popular, 91% of the internet users are utilizing the technology in all places for chatting and messenger which overtake share of voice and visual call utilization. The phenomenon is remarkable to young generations between teenager and thirties, which leads to mobile messenger shopping such as mobile digital voucher and coupon buy. In this research, we clarify whether traditional gift-giving motivations works on digital coupon gift-giving, and two technology acceptance model factors: perceived usefulness and ease of use affects between motivations and intention to gift-giving. The result shows three traditional gift-giving motivations: experiential, obligated and practical attitude affects intention to digital mobile coupon gift-giving and ease of use of the digital mobile coupon works parameter of the relation rather than usefulness. In other words, gift-giving purpose digital coupon users give a gift with traditional gift-giving motivation but has the stronger intetnion to gift-giving by technology ease of use.

This study explored the characteristics, housing deficits and expectations for support programs of low-income renter households in housing poverty in order to provide housing policy development and improvement information. Microdata of the 2014 Korea Housing Survey was utilized as secondary data for this study. A total of 2,508,672 low-income renter households (weighted count) in the bottom 40% income ranks of entire general households living in private rental units were selected as study subjects. The major findings were as follows. (1) One point four percent of the subjects were living in non-house living quarters (e.g., shanties, vinyl greenhouses, container houses, and mud huts), 1.4% were in dosshouses, 9.9% were in basements, semi-basements or rooftop units, and 8.2% were in sub-standard units. (2) Among the households whose housing costs burdens were measurable, 75.7% were found to have housing cost burdens to pay 30% or more of their household income towards housing costs (rental costs and maintenance costs), but only 7.5% of the burdened households received a housing voucher. (3) Eighty-one percent were found to be in a housing poverty status as defined by the researcher; in addition, low-income renter households in housing poverty in Seoul tended to have a greater proportion of households headed by females, the elderly, and be persons with low-education or disabilities. (4) Households in housing poverty showed greater expectations for financial support and/or extended provisions of public rental housing than other low-income renter households.
