다중 패턴 분류를 위한 Import Vector Voting 모델 (Import Vector Voting Model for Multi-pattern Classification)

  • 일반적으로 Support Vector Machine은 이진 분류 모형에 있어 우수한 성능을 보이지만 모델의 한계로 인하여 다중 패턴의 분류 문제에는 쉽게 적용하기가 어렵다. 본 논문에서는 이진 분류를 포함한 다중 레이블을 갖는 데이터의 정확한 패턴 분류를 위하여 Zhu가 제안한 Import Vector Machine에 커널 Bagging 전략을 적용하여 분류의 정확성을 향상시키기 위한 Import Vector Voting 모형을 제안한다. 이러한 Import Vector Voting 모형은 다수의 커널함수를 적용한 결과 중에서 가장 성능이 우수한 커널함수를 이용하여 최종 분류를 수행하기 위한 voting 전략으로 사용한다. 본 논문에서 제안하는 Import Vector Voting 모형은 이진 분류를 포함한 3개 이상의 다중 패턴 데이터에 대한 분류 문제에 있어 매우 정확한 분류 성능을 보임을 실험을 통해 입증한다.

E-voting Implementation in Egypt

  • Manual elections processes in Egypt have several negative effects; that mainly leads to political corruption due to the lack of transparency. These issues negatively influence citizen's participation in the political life; while electronic voting systems aim to increase efficiency, transparency, and reduce the cost comparing to the manual voting. The main research objectives are, finding the successful factors that positively affects E-voting implementation in Egypt, in addition of finding out the reasons that keep Egyptian government far from applying E-voting, and to come up with the road map that Egyptian government has to take into consideration to successfully implement E-voting systems. The findings of the study suggest that there are seven independent variables affecting e-voting implementation which are; leadership, government willingness, legal framework, technical quality, awareness, citizen's trust in government and IT literacy. Technology-Organization-Environment (TOE) theory was used to provide an analytical framework for the study. A quantitative approach (i.e., survey questionnaire) strategy was used to collect data. A random sampling method was used to select the participants for the survey, whom are targeted voters in Egypt and have access to the internet, since the questionnaire was distributed online and the data is analyzed using regression analysis. Practical implications of this study will lead for more citizen participation in the political life due to the transparency that E-voting system will create, in addition to reduce the political corruption.

다중투표 시스템이 고객 참여에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Multiple Voting Systems on Customer Participation)

  • 본 연구는 최근 새로운 고객 참여방식으로 자리매김한 고객 투표를 통한 마케팅 의사결정 방식에 주목하였다. 이는 서비스 산업에서도 중요한 고객 임파워먼트 전략(Customer Empowerment Strategy, CES)의 하나인 선택형 임파워먼트 형태라고 할 수 있다. 선택형 임파워먼트 중 투표방식의 장단점에 국한되어 있는 선행연구와는 달리 본 연구에서는 다수의 최종안이 선정되는 상황을 상정하고, 고객이 하나의 후보에 투표하는 단수투표 시스템과 복수의 후보에 투표하는 다중투표 시스템 간의 차이를 고객의 지속적 투표 참여 의사와 투표 참여 행태를 통해 분석하였다. 또한, 이러한 투표 시스템 간의 차이를 만드는 요인을 투표 결과의 불확실성으로 보고 그 매개효과를 검증하였다. 연구 가설의 검증을 위해 사람과 상품을 대상으로 투표를 하는 두 개의 실험을 진행하였으며, 다중선형회귀분석과 매개효과 분석을 실시하였다. 그 결과, 상품 투표의 경우 다중투표 시스템은 고객 참여 의사와 전략적 투표 행태를 증가시키는 것으로 나타났으나, 사람에 대한 투표의 경우 전략적 투표 행태에만 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 또한, 불확실성은 다중투표 시스템의 효과를 매개하지 않아 간접효과는 없는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구는 학술적으로 선택형 임파워먼트를 세분화시킴으로써 향후 연구에서 고객 참여 방식을 구체화 했다는 점과 실무적으로 기업의 투표 시스템 선택에 방향성을 제시한다는 측면에서 기여점이 있다.

Zero-Watermarking Algorithm in Transform Domain Based on RGB Channel and Voting Strategy

  • A zero-watermarking algorithm in transform domain based on RGB channel and voting strategy is proposed. The registration and identification of ownership have achieved copyright protection for color images. In the ownership registration, discrete wavelet transform (DWT), discrete cosine transform (DCT), and singular value decomposition (SVD) are used comprehensively because they have the characteristics of multi-resolution, energy concentration and stability, which is conducive to improving the robustness of the proposed algorithm. In order to take full advantage of the characteristics of the image, we use three channels of R, G, and B of a color image to construct three master shares, instead of using data from only one channel. Then, in order to improve security, the master share is superimposed with the copyright watermark encrypted by the owner's key to generate an ownership share. When the ownership is authenticated, copyright watermarks are extracted from the three channels of the disputed image. Then using voting decisions, the final copyright information is determined by comparing the extracted three watermarks bit by bit. Experimental results show that the proposed zero watermarking scheme is robust to conventional attacks such as JPEG compression, noise addition, filtering and tampering, and has higher stability in various common color images.

  • It is so difficult to get complete data when we conduct a questionaire in actuality. And we get inefficient results if we analyze statistical tests with ignoring missing values. Therefore, we use imputation methods which evaluate quality of data. This study proposes a imputation method by decomposition and voting with ordinal data. First, data are sorted by each variable. After that, imputation methods are used by each decomposition level. And the last step is selection of values with voting. The proposed method is evaluated by accuracy and RMSE. In conclusion, missing values are related to each variable, median imputation method using decomposition and voting is powerful.

Can Brand Affinity Outperform Political Parties' Rejection When Nominating Celebrity Politicians in a Post-Rebellion Multi-Party Context?

  • In competitive political contexts, sustaining power is the ultimate goal for political parties. Nominating celebrity politicians can be a double-edged sword for parent brands in attracting votes and influencing voting intention. This study contributes to the moderating role of brand affinity towards celebrity politicians. It considers celebrities' cognitive perceived benefits and voting intention relationship in a multiparty parliamentarian election. A cross-sectional survey with a stratified proportional random sampling technique in fifteen Lebanese districts ensured a representative sample. One thousand two hundred sixty-nine responses were found eligible for analysis. Findings indicate that brand affinity positively moderates the negative relationship between perceived benefits and voting intention. This study offers a new understanding of celebrity politicians' implementation strategy and campaign management and considers the contribution of the affective intelligence theory. It provides implications, limitations, and promising directions for future research on celebrity politicians.

  • 본 연구는 2000년대 중반부터의 기존의 PC기반에서 스마트폰 등의 모바일 기반으로의 새로운 패러다임 변화환경 아래에서의 한국 전자정부의 세계 최고 수준유지를 위한 전략으로 전자투표 추진의 전략방향을 고찰하고 이를 위한 관련 기술의 도입과 협력방안을 모색하여 본다. 전자투표 도입과 실행의 주요 문제점들을 해결할 수 있는 전략프레임을 설정하고 이에 따라 관련 기술의 도입과 협력방안을 제시한다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 점에서 전자투표 추진의 미래상을 시나리오플래닝을 통하여 고찰하여 보고 이의 달성을 위한 향후 추진방향을 고찰한다. 지속적인 한국 전자정부의 세계 최고 수준 유지방안 모색이라는 점에서, 전자투표에 있어서 본고에서 논의된 얼굴인식기술과 걸음걸이인식기술이라는 생체인식기술을 도입한 공간정보시스템의 활용은 그러한 점에서 큰 함의를 가진다.

Adaptive Cooperative Spectrum Sensing Based on SNR Estimation in Cognitive Radio Networks

  • Single-user spectrum sensing is susceptible to multipath effects, shadow effects, hidden terminals and other unfavorable factors, leading to misjudgment of perceived results. In order to increase the detection accuracy and reduce spectrum sensing cost, we propose an adaptive cooperative sensing strategy based on an estimated signal-to-noise ratio (SNR). Which can adaptive select different sensing strategy during the local sensing phase. When the estimated SNR is higher than the selection threshold, adaptive double threshold energy detector (ED) is implemented, otherwise cyclostationary feature detector is performed. Due to the fact that only a better sensing strategy is implemented in a period, the detection accuracy is improved under the condition of low SNR with low complexity. The local sensing node transmits the perceived results through the control channel to the fusion center (FC), and uses voting rule to make the hard decision. Thus the transmission bandwidth is effectively saved. Simulation results show that the proposed scheme can effectively improve the system detection probability, shorten the average sensing time, and has better robustness without largely increasing the costs of sensing system.

Voter Perceptions and Behavior in East Asian Mixed Systems

  • How do mixed legislative systems shape voter behavior and public perceptions? Through an analysis of the electoral systems in Japan, South Korea, and Taiwan, this paper evaluates the extent to which the public in these three countries understand their mixed systems and whether claims of voter ignorance translate into irrational voting behavior based on the institutional effects of mixed systems. Through a multi-method approach including data from outside of East Asia, this analysis seeks to determine whether these three cases exhibit patterns consistent with other mixed systems. Empirical analysis affirms levels of strategic voting consistent with comprehension of electoral rules. Furthermore, this analysis suggests a disconnect between practical knowledge and electoral expectations.

Misinformation Detection and Rectification Based on QA System and Text Similarity with COVID-19

  • As COVID-19 spread widely, and rapidly, the number of misinformation is also increasing, which WHO has referred to this phenomenon as "Infodemic". The purpose of this research is to develop detection and rectification of COVID-19 misinformation based on Open-domain QA system and text similarity. 9 testing conditions were used in this model. For open-domain QA system, 6 conditions were applied using three different types of dataset types, scientific, social media, and news, both datasets, and two different methods of choosing the answer, choosing the top answer generated from the QA system and voting from the top three answers generated from QA system. The other 3 conditions were the Closed-Domain QA system with different dataset types. The best results from the testing model were 76% using all datasets with voting from the top 3 answers outperforming by 16% from the closed-domain model.
