Passive tags are inferior to active tags in processing efficiency, so they have difficulty in largevolume processing. The proposed protocol reduces the volume of computation in passive tags and, at the same time, improves authentication for enhanced safety and security. That is, different from existing RFID protocols that return the same value even if an error happens when the reader reads a tag, the improved RFID security protocol returns a new value using a re-counter and processes the computation part of a tag in the reader or in a back.end system. Even if the information of a tag is acquired by an malicious way, it is not actual information but encrypted information that is not usable. In addition, even if tag information is read in sequence, it is changed in each read, so the protocol is safe from Location Tracking.
After large-scale flooding damage occurred along the Imjin river in 1996, 1998, and 1999, the Hantan river flood control dam was planned, and it has since been under construction. Unlike existing dams in Korea, the Hantan river flood control dam will remain fully open except during high floods, when the dam will store flood water temporarily to reduce flood peaks and flood water volume downstream. During past flooding seasons, floating debris has caused difficulties in the management of large-scale dams. Most of the existing multipurpose dams in Korea have installed nets to collect floating debris based on many years of experience with and data about inflow and distribution of floating debris in the dams. For the Hantan river flood control dam, however, collection of data about inflow and distribution of floating debris is not possible as the dam is located near the border area between North and South Korea. In order to devise a preliminary plan to collect floating debris in the Hantan river flood control dam, an EFDC hydrodynamic model was used to analyze the behavior of floating debris during high floods. The Lagrangian particle tracking method was utilized to simulate the behavior of floating debris in the dam. Based on the analysis of paths and final destinations of the particles, seven collection points were selected where it seemed to be effective to collect floating debris, as debris is likely to accumulate there in high density.

Depending on the location of the lung tumor, the choice of treatment technique should be considered when treating the Cyberknife. The 4DCT images of 18 lung cancer patients were analyzed, and location error values were extracted through application program. The evaluation result was lower than the average position error only in the upper and the inner. These results suggest that the Vertebral tracking technique is effective when it is close to the pulmonary attachment or near the vertebral body, and the Synchrony technique is effective at other positions. In the future, we would like to study cyber knife treatment technique according to the position of the tumor as well as the volume of the lung and the respiratory cycle.

Background: We developed a machine vision technology program that tracks patients' real-time breathing and automatically analyzes their breathing patterns. Materials and Methods: To evaluate its potential for clinical application, the image tracking performance and accuracy of the program were analyzed using a respiratory motion phantom. Changes in the stability and regularity of breathing were observed in healthy adult volunteers according to whether the breathing pattern mirrored the breathing guidance. Results and Discussion: Displacement within a few millimeters was observed in real-time with a clear resolution, and the image tracking ability was excellent. This result was consistent even in the sections where breathing patterns changed rapidly. In addition, the respiratory gating method that reflected the individual breathing patterns improved breathing stability and regularity in all volunteers. Conclusion: The findings of this study suggest that this technology can be used to set the appropriate window and the range of internal target volume by reflecting the patient's breathing pattern during radiotherapy planning. However, further studies in clinical populations are required to validate this technology.

This paper relates to the development of CCTV camera posture calibration algorithm that can simultaneously collect traffic information such as traffic volume and speed in the state of view of the CCTV camera set for traffic monitoring. The developed autonomous posture calibration algorithm uses vehicle recognition and tracking techniques to identify the road, and automatically determines the angle of view for the operator's traffic surveillance and traffic information collection. To verify the performance of the proposed algorithm, a CCTV installed on site was used, and the results of the angle of view automatically calculated by the autonomous posture calibration algorithm for the angle of view set for traffic surveillance and traffic information collection were compared.
This paper discusses a method for optimizing the semi-actuated traffic signal control system by adjusting the initial interval according to the number of vehicles waiting for the green light in the actuated phase. We also present a Left-Turn actuated traffic signal control strategy that examines the vehicular noise in the detection area and determines the phase extension and the gap-out. In order to detect the vehicles in real-time, an image detector's Video Image Tracking technology was adopted. A 'Zone in Zone'method was implemented, and the image detection area is segmented into three zones: 1) Zone1 for verifying a vehicles obligatory presence, 2) Zone2 for counting the standby vehicles, and 3) Zone3 for examining the number of vehicles that have passed. The on-site assessment of the Left Turn Actuated Control is carried out using CORSIM, and the results show that the Control Delay decreased by 23.10%, 15.06%, and 4.34% compared to the delays resulted from pre-timed control, semi-actuated control-1 and semi-actuated control-2 traffic signal control systems respectively. The Queue Time also decreased by 36.24%, 20.10% and the Total Time by 14.36%, 7.02% for the same scenario. Which clearly demonstrates the operational efficiency. A sensitivity analysis reveals that the improvement from the propose traffic control strategy tends to increase as the through traffic volume reaches a saturated condition and the left-turn traffic volume decreases.
Purpose: This study was conducted in order to evaluate the quantitative effectiveness of region of interest (ROI) setting in MR-DTI analysis with and without fMRI activation results. Methods: Ten right-handed normal volunteers participated in this study. DTI and fMRI datasets for each subject were obtained using a 1.5T MRI system. For neural fiber tracking, ROIs were drawn using two methods: The drawing points were located in the fMRI activation areas or areas randomly selected by users. In this study, the neural fiber tract targeted the corticospinal tract (CST) Quantitative analyses were performed and compared. The pixel numbers passing through the fiber tract in the individual brain volume were counted. The ratios between the ROI pixel numbers and the extracted fiber pixel numbers, and the ratios between the fiber pixel numbers and the whole-brain pixel numbers were also calculated. Results: According to our results, extracted CST fiber tract in which the ROI was drawn with fMRI activation areas showed higher distribution than drawing the ROI by users' hands. In addition, the quantitatively measured values represented higher pixel distribution: The counted average pixel numbers were 4553.8 and 1943.3. The average ratios of the ROI areas were 33.87 and 22.52. The average percentages of the individual whole-brain volume numbers were 2.06 and 0.87. Conclusion: Results of this study appear to indicate that use of this method can allow for more objectives and significant for study of the recovery of neural fiber mechanisms and brain rehabilitation.

This study aims to verify the applicability of TRANSIMS (TRansportion ANalysis SIMulation System) in interrupted traffic flow through calibration and validation process based on observation data; such as headway, traffic volume, speed, and travel time from Dalguberl Boulevard in Dae-gu metropolitan city. On this study, several micro-simulation parameters are derived from the calibration and validation process through performing a headway comparison and applying an ID back tracking methodology. As a result, it is figured out that actual circumstances of Korean roadway; for example, traffic volume per lane, speed, and travel time, can be applied on the TRANSIMS. Especially, it was possible to find out the influence of cell size parameter to traffic flow characteristic of simulation. However, it is hard to conclude that TRANSIMS is applicable to Korean roadway environment with studying particular target area. Therefore, additional studies; such as more case studies with various types of road, signal, and land use, will be required to localize TRANSIMS to Korea.

Clinical ultrasound (US) is a widely used imaging modality with various clinical applications. However, capturing a large field of view often requires specialized transducers which have limitations for specific clinical scenarios. Panoramic imaging offers an alternative approach by sequentially aligning image sections acquired from freehand sweeps using a standard transducer. To reconstruct a 3D volume from these 2D sections, an external device can be employed to track the transducer's motion accurately. However, the presence of optical or electrical interferences in a clinical setting often leads to incorrect measurements from such sensors. In this paper, we propose a deep learning (DL) framework that enables the prediction of scan trajectories using only US data, eliminating the need for an external tracking device. Our approach incorporates diverse data types, including correlation volume, optical flow, B-mode images, and rawer data (IQ data). We develop a DL network capable of effectively handling these data types and introduce an attention technique to emphasize crucial local areas for precise trajectory prediction. Through extensive experimentation, we demonstrate the superiority of our proposed method over other DL-based approaches in terms of long trajectory prediction performance. Our findings highlight the potential of employing DL techniques for trajectory estimation in clinical ultrasound, offering a promising alternative for panoramic imaging.

This paper describes the development of a wearable robot to assist the elbow muscle for use by elderly workers in aging societies. Various previously developed wearable robots have drawbacks in terms of their price, portability, and slow recognition of the wearer's intention. In this paper, emphasis is placed on the following features to minimize these drawbacks. The first feature is that an actuator is attached only at the elbow joint that withstands the highest moment during arm motion to reduce the weight, volume, and price of the robot and increase its practicality. The second is that operation of the wearable robot is divided into two modes, a tracking mode and a muscle strengthening mode, and the robot can automatically switch between these modes by analyzing the wearer's intention through the brachial muscle strength measuring device developed in this study. The assistive performance of the developed wearable robot is experimentally verified by motion tracking experiments without an external load and muscle strengthening experiments with an external load. During the muscle strengthening experiments, the power of the muscle of the upper arm is measured by a commercial electromyography (EMG) sensor. Motion tracking performance at a speed of $120^{\circ}/s$ and muscle assistance of over 60 % were obtained using our robot.
