This paper describe a method for measuring line impedance as a function of frequency for an energized powerline in normal operation. A small sinusoidal signal of a powerline communication utility frequency $30khz\~1Mhz$ band is continuously injected into the line, and a implemented impedance analyzer calculates the indoor powerline channel impedance from the measured magnitude and phase of resulting voltage and current. The impedance measurement is executed over a range of frequencies to produce a wideband impedance versus frequency characteristic. Implemented impedance analyzer can analysis powerline communication environments measuring line impedance due to load caused in indoor. And measured analysis information through the database can use to evaluate performance of modem and to decide test environment standard.
Plasma sprayed ceramic coatings inherently contain pores and usually also cracks. Post-treatment of the plasma sprayed coatings is a way to close the connected pores and cracks. In this study, post-sealing treatment in plasma sprayed $Al_2O_3$ coatings was employed to overcome the reduction of coating properties. $Al_2O_3$ plasma thermal spray coating was made on aluminum alloys plate, $CrO_3$ post coating and heat treatment at $550^{\circ}C$ was carried out in order for final $Cr_2O_3$ to be saturated through phase transformation. Chromia sealing began at the fine defect in coated microstructure, while larger pores were permeated later. The increase in concentration and treatment frequency of sealing solution resulted in the decrease of porosity of coating layer, while cracks occurred partially after the third treatment. After twice treatment of 10M $CrO_3$ solution, microhardness and breakdown voltage of $Al_2O_3$ coatings were found to increase by ${\fallingdotseq}$ 50% and ${\fallingdotseq}$ 390% respectively than without post-treatment.

CMOS LC VCO for tri-bind wireless LAN applications was designed in 1.8V 0.18$\mu$m CMOS process. PMOS transistors were chosen for VCO core to reduce flicker noise. The possible operation was verified for 5.8GHz band (5.725$\~$5.825GHz), 5.2GHz band (5.150$\~$5.325GHz), and 2.4GHz band (2.412$\~$2.484GHz) using the switchable L-C resonators. To linearize its frequency-voltage gain (Kvco), optimized multiple MOS varactor biasing technique was used for capacitance linearization and PLL stability improvement. VCO core consumed 2mA current and $570{\mu}m{\times}600{\mu}m$ die area. The phase noise was lower than -110dBc/Hz at 1MHz offset for tri-band frequencies.

In this paper, a high-efficiency charge pump for use in CMOS image sensor(CIS) is proposed. The proposed charge pump pursues high pumping efficiency by minimizing the switching and reversion losses by taking advantage of operation characteristics of CIS. That is, the proposed charge pump minimizes the switching loss by dynamically controlling the size of clock driver, pumping capacitor, and charge transfer switch based on the operation phase of CIS pixel sensor. The charge pump also minimizes the reversion loss by guaranteeing a sufficient non-overlapping period of local clocks using a tri-state local clock driver adapting the schmitt trigger. Comparison results using a 0.13-um CMOS process technology indicate that the proposed charge pump achieves up to 49.1% reduction on power consumption under no loading current condition as compared to conventional charge pump. They also indicate that the charge pump provides 19.0% reduction on power consumption under the maximum loading current condition.

Carbon materials are mainly used as catalyst supports for polymer exchange membrane fuel cell (PEMFC). Catalyst supports are required specific characteristics of the carbon materials, such as large surface area and high electrical conductivity. Attempted were to improve electrical conductivity and to maintain high surface area of carbon materials using a microwave treatment. Microwave treatment, as a relatively new technique, takes short reaction time and reduce the consumption of the gases used for carbon treatment compared to a traditional heat treatment. Hybrid carbon (ACF/Graphene) as catalyst supports by microwave-irradiation method for PEMFC increase the cell performance because of increased electrical conductivity resulting in triple-phase contact and reduced the interfacial resistance. Scanning electron microscopy (SEM), transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and X-Ray Diffraction (XRD) were employed to analyze carbon materials. The performance of microwave-treated carbon materials was evaluated by measuring current-voltage (I-V) characteristics and electrode impedance.

This paper presents a reference-less dual loop clock and data recovery (CDR) circuit that supports a data rate of 2.496 Gb/s for the mobile industry processor interface (MIPI) M-PHY. An adaptive loop bandwidth scheme is used to implement the fast lock time maintaining a low time jitter. To this scheme, the proposed CDR consists of two loops for a frequency locked loop and a phase locked loop. The proposed 2.496 Gb/s reference-less dual loop CDR is designed using a 65 nm CMOS process with 1.2 V supply voltage. The simulated peak-to-peak jitter of output clock is 9.26 ps for the input data of 2.496 Gb/s pseudo-random binary sequence (PRBS) 15. The active area and power consumption of the implemented CDR are $470{\times}400{\mu}m^2$ and 6.49 mW, respectively.
The frog truncus arterious were studied with conventional glass microelectrode technique in order to elucidate the underlying mechanism of spontaneous pacemaker activity. The analyses were focussed on the ionic nature of pacemaker current by changing the concentrations of extracellular $K^+$ and, $Na^+$, or by using blockers of K- and Ca-current and chronotropic transmitters. 1) The action potential of the spontaneously active truncus arteriosus has some characteristic feature of maximal distolic potential ranged from -65 to -75 mV, resting potential from -45 to -50 mV and overshoot voltage about +30 mV, respectively. Duration of the action potential taken from rapid upstroke to maximal diastolic potential was about 600 msec. Usual discharge rate was $25{\sim}30/min$ at room temperature $(18{\sim}20^{\circ}C)$. 2) The sensitivity of the resting membrane potential to change extracellular potassium concentrations $(0{\sim}12\;mM)$ was relatively low. Transient hyperpolarization was appeared in the 12 mM K Ringer after 10 min exposure to 0 mM K and it could be related to Na-pump reactivation by high potassium. 3) Reduction of extracellular sodium concetrations diminished the amplitude and frequency of the action potential. In Ringer solution containing 30% Na (substituted by equimolar Tris), spontaneous activity stopped but reappeared as very slow and small action potential. There was no spotaneous activity in zero Na Ringer solution. 4) Caesium(10 mM), K-current blocker decreased the frequency of the action potential and also pacemaker depolarization. Manganese (2 mM) known to be Ca-current antagonist, blocked spontaneous activity completely. 5) Adrenaline and acetylcholine had no chronotropic effect. But adrenaline increased the duration of plateau phase and the magnitude of the action potential in the follower cell. It is concluded that K-, Na-and Ca-current components are involved in the genesis of spontaneous activity of the frog truncus arteriosus like cardiac pacemaker tissues. But the insensitivity of truncus arteriosus to adrenaline and acetylcholine indicates that there are some different control mechanisms of spontaneous rhythm in two tissues.
$Sr_xBi_{2.4}Ta_2O_9$ (SBT) thin films of 150 nm thickness were prepared using LSMCD (Liquid Source Misted Chemical Deposition) process with variation of the Sr/Ta mole ratio of 0.35~0.65, and their crystalline phase, microstructure, ferroelectric properties and leakage current characteristics were investigated. Ferroelectric characteristics of the LSMCD-derived SBT films were optimized at the Sr/Ta moleratio of 0.425. The remanent polarization (2Pr) and coercive field (Ec) of the SBT film with the Sr/Ta mole ratio of 0.425 were measured as 15.01 $\mu$C/$ \textrm{cm}^2$ and 41 kV/cm at an applied voltage of $\pm$5 V respectively. LSMCD-derived SBT films with the Sr/Ta mole ratio of 0.35~0.5 exhibited leakage current densities lower than $10^{-5} A/\textrm{cm}^2$ at an applied field of 100 kV/cm, and excellent fatigue-free characteristics of the remanent polarization decrement less than 1% after $10^{10}$ switching cycles at$\pm$5 V.
To fine seam annealer capacity of through thickness seam annealing in terms of through thickness microstructure change with increased toughness and elongation leaving heat trace on it, high strength steel pipes of ERW with different thickness were tested in different seam annealing temperature measured on the outer surface of pipes. Annealing temperature and microstructure of the weld seam were changed through applied seam annealing condition. Toughness and tensile test with hardness and microstructure analysis were done on the annealed weld seam to fine its characteristics as a primary step and annealing characteristics according to different seam annealing condition. Through a study of annealed ERW weld seam characteristics and seam annealing technology, amount of electric power should apply in decreased manner to arranged inductors of annealer in the order of 1st, 2nd, 3rd, so on for proper seam annealing. For example of 15.4mm thick and 610mm outside diameter pipe, applied power for proper seam annealing is 600 -650kw at 1st inductor, 450 - 500kw at 2nd inductor, 200-250 kw at 3rd inductor of annealer during 10 - 12M/minute moving speed of pipe. Also, the penetration depth of heat trace along the thickness direction of weld during seam annealing can be estimated through the equation 17mm/kv$\times$voltage(kv) with the microstructure and hardness analysis of thick weld seam as well as study of seam annealing and comparison of cooling condition to CCT diagram of low carbon high strength steel. From this result, the difference between the technological applicability of full annealing condition based on phase diagram and full penetration of heat trace based on CCT diagram along the thickness of weld seam is discussed.

It is required for getting the ring laser gyro output purely related to the input rotation to eliminate the output of the modulated angular vibration from the ring laser signal. In this paper we discuss the dither stripping methods of compensating the ring laser signal by converting the rate signal of dither detector from voltage to frequency for a dither type ring laser gyro. We discuss the differential methods for getting rid of the offset of the V-F signal. And we develope the methods of compensating the phase differences between the ring laser signals and the V-F differential signals by using analog integrator and digital time delays. And also, we develope the gain calculation method by comparing the standard deviations of the ring laser signals with V-F differential signals. We implemented these methods and analyzed the effectiveness of these methods by comparing the dither trapping methods.
