The purpose of this study is to research the influence of soundscape in the preference of landscape. Specifically, Standards types of communications are applied to the landscape such as artificial waterscapes and natural valley. The spatial image was analyzed by the variables of Kaplan´s information processing model. The level of visual preferences was measured by a type of acoustic information in landscape and media of communication, and these data were analyzed by multiple regression. The results of this study can be summarized as follows; The value of landscape preference was not different from all fluent of coherence, complexity, legibility ,mystery and preference utilized the communication media, but it was different by the type of acoustic information in landscape. These results clearly show the influence of sound affecting decisions of landscape preference. The factors determining the level of landscape preference were found to be coherence, complexity, legibility, mystery and dummy variables of acoustic information in landscape and media od communication. These variables amy be the major factors which must be considered on planning and designing as the functional basis for the quantitative analysis.

엄청나게 쏟아져 나오는 데이터 홍수 속에서 오늘날의 업체와 연구기관에서는 신속하게 의사 결정을 해야 한다. 당면한 문제점들을 해결하기 위하여 접근할 수 있는 수많은 다양한 데이터 속에서 정확하게 경향을 파악하고 그 근본 원인을 찾아내어 신속하고 action을 행하는 것은 어떠한 회사에서도 성공에 있어서 가장 중요한 인자들 중의 하나이다. 초기 아이디어 도출, 연구 개발에서부터 제품의 생산, 판매 및 서비스에 이르기까지 모든 팀원들은 아주 빠르게 고도의 정확성으로 중요한 결정을 할 필요가 있다. 오늘날의 경쟁 시장에서 기업의 성공은 다른 경쟁자들보다 더 빠르게 결정을 할 수 있는 능력에 달려 있다. 이에 Sporfire에서는 사용자가 쉽고 빠르게 데이터를 분석하여 의사 결정을 할 수 있도록 다양한 기능을 제공하고 있다. 사용자가 SQL같은 전문 언어를 사용하지 않고도 다양한 데이터 source에서 쉽게 데이터를 가져오도록 Information Library를 이용할 수 있으며, 데이터베이스에 들어 있는 숫자들의 집합체를 다양한 차트와 도표들을 이용, 그래픽 적으로 제공해 줌으로써 데이터에 대하여 직관적으로 파악하여 신속하게 대응할 수 있도록 도와준다. 또한 그 결과물들을 MS 파워포인트, 엑셀시트, xml 등으로 저장하여 다른 용도로 사용할 수 있도록 하고 있다.

We present several biosignal measurement results and analysis algorithms or the visual stimulus from International Affective Picture System. Since human body is nonlinear dynamic system, we investigated both linear and nonlinear methods. We found that the chaos was diminished when unpleasant picture is presented relative to pleasant picture, and the alpha wave of EEG was slightly augmented in pleasant picture, but was not convincing result. These can be used as the parameter or the measurement of human sensibility.

The feedback control systems of welding process using visual information can improve weld qualities. However, it is very difficult to get the visual information of weld pool since welding are is much stronger than light from weld pool. To explore the possibility of extending the capability of automatic welding machines a study of a closed loop controlled welding system consisted of a GTA welding machine, a vision system, a stepping motor system and a digital computer was undertaken. Particularly, in this system, a CCD camera with 850nm long pass filter was focused on the weld pool to give a weld pool image. Subsequently, image analysis technique has been developed to measure a weld pool width. Using this weld pool width measurement, a colsed loop control system adjusted welding speed to maintain constant weld pool width.

This study provides a solution method for the inverse heat conduction problem based on a combination of a public domain CAE (computer aided engineering) software and a commercial CAO (computer aided optimization) software. The solver system has been implemented without any in-house coding. The proposed method is simple to implement. Moreover, it can be easily reproduced.

The purpose of this study is to investigate how one's visual evaluations are affected by variations in internal designs of tailored jackets. Major findings are: 1. Of the 35 pairs of adjectives, the factor analysis singled out the following five major factors (total variance of 55.62%): elegance, maturity, neatness, hard/softness, and evaluation. 2. The image of tailored jackets were found to be significantly affected by the length of its collar: jackets with long collar were perceived elegant, graceful, neat, mature and slim. 3. The number of buttons was also found to have significant impact on the image of tailored jackets: A one-button jacket, single or double, was perceived graceful, mature, formal, neat, natural, brisk, slim and so on. Its image deteriorated as the number of buttons increased. 4. Single jackets were found to be significantly different from Double jacket in their images. The former were perceived elegant, neat, and natural.

Generally, bridge designers must consider variable factors in design of bridge-structures. For this reason, it was difficult to make a design program till now. However, the rapid development of computers turns it into a possible one with considering complex factors and the advance of computer's language make us design programming. When we use the automatic design program including structural analysis(FEM), we can save the time and effort. Additionally, the automatic design program was generated to reduce the man' errors. Therefore, in this paper, the automatic design program of the Prestressed Concrete Slab Bridge was developed. This design program will support bridge designers with time that they can spend on a creative and efficient duty for development of design.

Very often, one would like to have visual image of mechanical or acoustical events such as musical sound and transient vibrations. Conventional methods to visualize the signal, such as power spectrum, do not normally allow to cultivate the signal of interests due to their inherent limitation on transient signals. Other than the conventional method, one could use an instantaneous frequency which can reveal the variation of frequency in terms of time. Nevertheless it is quite sensitive to noise and can not resolve the frequency components of signals; normally produces additional components other than those of the signals. In this paper, we introduce the Wigner-Ville spectrum to see the transient characteristics of signal, especially musical sound and transient mechanical vibration signatures. For musical sound, several popular western classic music have been selected for the analysis. For the transient mechanical signature, the signals obtained from the car door experiment and the beam experiment are interpreted in terms of Wigner-Ville spectrum. Results demonstrate the visual expressions of transient signals; musical sound and vibrations.

Visual and color in Korean newspaper advertisements appeared in transformational advertising (21cm$\times$30.4cm) were analyzed. Data were gathered from 191 advertisements shown on major four daily newspaper; Dong-a, Joong-ang, Chosun and Hanguk from October to December in 2000. From the results of this research, both type of layout and color are proposed more variety by this researcher. Mixed production techniques are used in newspaper advertising. Also, more foreign advertising model are expected near future. Finally, product life cycle have relationship with each layout elements. In other words, based on the stage of product life cycle layout elements are changed respectively.
