This paper reports on a study of the morphological design trends and characteristics of vests in contemporary fashion for women. A review of the relevant literature was conducted, and visual images found in various collections displayed in local and foreign papers and on internet web sites over the period 2001 to 2009 were analysed. The analysis of the vest designs showed that 78% had no collar, 41.8% were waist-length, 70.5% used general fabrics of various colors and patterns, 98.2% had a single fastening system, 69.8% used buttons for fastening, and 67.4% were intended to be worn as outwear over inner wear items such as a shirt or blouse. The trends in vest design were characterized by the expression of an androgynous image, by creative diversity and by an escape from traditional forms.

Symbiotic stars are long-orbital-period interacting binaries characterized by extended emission over the whole electromagnetic range and by complex photometric and spectroscopic variability. In this contribution, I will present some high-cadence, long-term optical light curves of confirmed and candidate symbiotic stars in the Magellanic Clouds. By careful visual inspection and combined time series analysis techniques, we investigate for the first time in a systematic way the photometric properties of these astrophysical objects, trying in particular to distinguish the evolutionary status of the cool component, to provide its first-order pulsation ephemeris and to link all this information with the physical parameters of the binary system as a whole. Finally, I will discuss a new, promising photometric technique, potentially able to discover Symbiotic Stars in the Local Group of Galaxies without the recourse to costly spectroscopic follow-up.

The purpose of this study is to examine the unique differentiation of dance-sports costume design and improve the professionalism of design in this field. for this, the documentary study and practical case study have been executed. the visual data in 'weave' prosperity data and a dance-sports technical book are used. The results of this study are as follows. First, dance-sports costume has the general character of dance costume, and it belongs to the category of stage costume. Second, the physical characteristics peculiar to dance-sports costume come from its specialized usage in dance-sports. Third, the design of dance-sports costume changes accordingly with the situation it is worn: exercise costume, party costume, competition costume. Fourth, arranged dance-sports costume trends since 1998. It had shown biennial changes in shilhouette.

This study is to develop a automatic design program of mechanical elements as the integrated system which can create automatically 3-dimensional solid and surface model using visualLISP. By the applying developed system to CAE system, the following objects are realized. At first, constructing the library of automatic design program for unexperienced design engineer, the 3-dimensional modeling of mechanical elements can be obtained easily. at second, the 3-dimensional model for ratchet wheel design is created by finete element model of CAE system and the optimal design condition of key way.

인공건물의 평면특성에 대한 시각을 통한 인지를 청각으로 대체했을 경우의 인지능력을 측정하였다. 정상적으로 시각(visual)을 이용하겠으나, 시각 장애자의 경우는 청각(auditory) 또는 촉각(tactile) 또는 두가지 모두를 사용하게 된다. Psychophysical approach를 사용하여 모의평면에 대한 인지능력을 JND단위로 측정하였다. 청각적인 신호를 관찰자에게 제공하기 위해 전자장치(electronic ranging device)가 고안되었다. 이 장치는 목표물까지의 거리를 초음파의 이동시간으로 측정하여 음의세기(sound level)로 발생시켜 준다. 관찰자는 이 음의 세기를 듣고 거리를 추정하고 물표의 방향은 이 장비를 쥔 손의 방향, 즉, proprioceptive cue를 이용하게 된다. 세가지 task에 대한 실험은 평면의 slantness, 두 평면이 교차하는 모서리의 크기, 두 평면사이의 공간(aperture size)등에 대한 인지능력의 측정실험이다. 실험결과를 보면, 관찰자는 시각신호 대신에 청각신호를 사용할 수 있는 능력이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 세가지 task별 JND측정치는 slant angle 6도, 모서리의 concavity 10도, angular aperature size 3-5도로 나타났다. 이 결과는 정상인이 시각을 이용한 인지능력과 큰 차이가 없음을 보여주고 있다.

The origin and developing process of Highland Dress as a Scottish national dress has been discussed in this study. Parameters affecting transformation process of Highland Dress from regional to national dress over the modernization period during 19 C was analyzed and compared by sociological aspect. Anthony Giddenss social change was applied and divided into three main factors such as political , economic and cultural analysis. The basic requirement of the theory of social change is visual recognization of any cultural changes. Highland Dress as a Scottish national dress has established during modernization in Europe within short period(18C -early 20C) and the Highland tartan as a military dress was transformed to be a civilian dress during 19-20 C. It shows social changes affecting on costume pattern and eventually costume in particular time could be an indicator of social changed. Throughout the study of the functional role of costume in Scotland is able to clarify the understanding of acculturation phenomenon through cultural, political and economic changes.

The fiber morphologies of the textiles from the burials of the Seip group of Ohio Hopewell (ca. 100 B.C. to A.D. 500)mounds were examined using light and scanning electron microscopy. A theoretical model was proposed which delineates the rate of morphological change in fibers through time and the cultural activities which occur during the life of a textile element. The Seip textiles were categorized according to their visual and structural characteristics. The microscopic examination of the Seip textiles yielded the evidence of animal hair fibers and bast fibers. The animal hair fibers of the seip textiles were identified as the hair of rabbit or hare. The bast fibers of the Seip textiles exhibited variation in morphological features such as the degree of bundle separation and the presence of transverse striations, fibrillations, or trans-verse cracks.

The aim of the paper is to analyze prosodic characteristics in apraxia of speech and establish the fundamental sources in diagnosis of motor speech disorders. The sentences consist of two different types (declarative and interrogative) with different numbers of constituents which are one to three. The stimuli were constructed to assess apraxics speech with articulation and humming skills. The features of speech patterns were examined such as utterance duration, boundary tones, and etc. The results of the analysis are as follow: 1) In the interrogative sentences, the rising boundary tones appeared only in the humming tasks 2) the utterance duration is relatively shorter in the humming tasks than the speech with articulation.

This study includes noise automatic inspection system for washing machine auto-transmission one of modern home necessary. We effort to find and certificate sound noisesource by sound power and sound intensity, and apply to frequency analysis in vibration related sound noise. Still more we have been studying to data acquisition and programming for MS VisualBasic version 5.0. System component is below. 1) Pentium PC for data acquisition. 2) DSO for noise acquisition. 3) S/W for comparison and decision. 4) I/F Board for data communication. Wave form data through the DSO are converting to ASCII code data. The ASCII code through binary converting S/W are to be decision fitness or the badness comparison S/W. Finally, we will making noise monitoring system and automatic inspection system.

The purpose of this paper is to examine how mainstream international media cover a major political event like the 2018 North Korea-U.S. Summit and how place branding effect is manifested on the Internet. A quantitative content analysis was conducted. A total of 1,990 relevant Internet news stories were collected from May 9 to June 17, 2018 and the types of media mentions Singapore as country and brand received were analyzed. As expected, Singapore garnered worldwide media coverage which in turn helped promote the island-nation's brand. International media reported on Singapore as a Summit location while also highlighting it as an important and attractive, cultural, historical destination. The study's findings indicate that global broadcasters such as CNN and BBC played the biggest role during the Summit in disseminating images of Singapore and landmarks as attractive places. Finally, the visual aspect of the event coverage also served as a formidable marketing instrument in bolstering the nation's brand.
