The purpose of this study is to report the clinical effectiveness of Korean medicine, especially Galhwahajung-tang and Yijintang-gamibang on patient with acute alcoholic hepatitis and renal dysfunction. The patient in this case had suffered from pantalgia and dizziness with nausea. He was diagnosed as acute alcoholic hepatitis. Based on related symptoms and blood-test, we could diagnose acute alcoholic hepatitis. We treated him with Korean medicine, involving herbal decoction, acupuncture, moxibustion and cupping. We used visual analogue scale and blood-test for assessment. After 31 days of treatment, the pantalgia and dizziness with nausea were disappeared and liver function test was in the normal range. According to this study, Korean medicine, including Galhwahajung-tang and Yijintang-gamibang are an effective treatment for the cure of acute alcoholic hepatitis with renal dysfunction which occurs on crapulence.

Objectives : The purpose of this study is to report the efficacy of using oriental medical treatment(herbal medicine, acupuncture) with melonis Calyx Vomiting Therapy(MCVT) for trigeminal neuralgia. Methods : We experienced one cases of trigeminal neuralgia treated with oriental medical treatment and melonis Calyx Vomiting Therapy. MCVT is a traditional treatment, which induces vomiting by eating melonis Calyx powder with water. To evaluate the results of this treatment, we used the Visual Analogue Scale(VAS) and sleeping time. Results : After using MCVT with oriental medical treatment, VAS, sleeping time and clinical symptoms of the patient were improved remarkably. Conclusions : This study suggests that using MCVT with oriental medical treatment is effective on trigeminal neuralgia.

Objectives : The purpose of this study is to report the effect of traditional Korean medical treatment and auricular acupuncture on the patient suffered from epiphora. Methods : One patient suffering from epiphora was treated with traditional Korean medical treatment including auricular acupuncture. HRQL(Health-related quality of life) and VAS(Visual Analogue Scale) were measured and compared to evaluate its treatment effectiveness. Results : We attained results which show recovery from watery eye, pain, eye strain in symptoms and improvement on quality of life. Conclusions : In this study, traditional Korean medical treatment can be effective in obtunding symtoms and improving quaility of life for patients suffering from epiphora.

1. Objectives This study is about three cerebellar infarction patients with dizziness and ataxia. In this study, we evaluated the effects of Sasang constitutional treatment and suggested using the 'Equilibrium Function Test' as scale. 2. Methods These three patients were treated by Sasang constitutional herbal medications based on "Donguisusebowon". Acupuncture & moxa therapy and west medications were limited as much as possible. We evaluated the symptoms through two methods, the Visual Analogue Scale and the Equilibrium Function Test. 3. Results and Conclusions Dizziness and ataxia that were these three patients' chief complaints were improved. This case study shows that Sasang constitutional herbal medications are an effective treatment for cerebellar infarction patients.

Objective : The main purpose of this report is to investigate the effect of Korean traditional medical care about Pruritic Dermatosis Methods : The patient was treated with Acupuncture, herb medicine, Herbal-acupuncture. we evaluated the change of symptom through Visual Analogue Scale(VAS) and photos of the skin Results : After 10 times of treatment, There was remarkable improvement in symptoms of the patient. Conclusion : We confirmed the superiority of Korean traditional medical care about Pruritic Dermatoses. We think that we must research effective remedy through many more case reports.

Objectives : This study is to determine the effects of magnetics therapy on the relief of premenstrual syndrome and dysmenorrhea among female college students. Methods : 20 female college students in a university are selected to the experimental group. All of the subjects have the score of more than 6 on the visual analogue scale for measuring the level of premenstrual pain. The data was collected by using questionnaires. The magnetics therapy on the Dong Shi Acupuncture Therapy extra points (婦科, 還巢, 木婦, 門金) was administered to the experimental group. Results : The results were as follows. The first hypothesis is supported ; the experimental group who received magnetics therapy on the Dong Shi Acupuncture will decrease premenstrual syndrome. The second hypothesis is supported ; the experimental group who received magnetics therapy on the Dong Shi Acupuncture will decrease dysmenorrhea. Conclusions : As a result of this study, magnetics therapy on the Dong Shi Acupuncture will be able to be used as the self care therapy to improve the symptoms of females with the premenstrual syndrome and dysmenorrhea.

Background and Objective : Dyshidrotic Eczema is characterized by a pruritic vesicular eruption on the fingers, palms, and soles. It is an acute, chronic, or recurrent dermatosis. The causes of dyshidrosis are unknown. There are many treatments available for dyshidrosis including topical steroids but long term treatment of streoids may have side effects. The purpose of this study is to find out the effect of Fulinggancao-Tang on Dyshidrotic Eczema. Methods : We have diagnosed the patients through the Shanghanlun six meridian patterns diagnostic system and we treated the patients with Fulinggancao-Tang. The severity of Dyshidrotic Eczema was evaluated by visual analogue scale(VAS). Results : After the treatment itching and vesicles of hands and foots were all disappeared in both patients. Conclusions : Fulinggancao-Tang have improved the signs and symptoms of Dyshidrotic Eczema case. It is considered that Fulinggancao-Tang is considerably effective on the treatment of skin disease that especially vulnerable to water.

Objectives : This study was performed to evaluate the effect of Cervus elaphus herbal-acupuncture on patient with polyneuritis, who shows sensory disorder on both hands, severe pain on left foot and ambulation difficulty due to weakness on left leg. Methods : We treated the patient by Cervus elaphus Herbal-acupuncture. Other treatments were acupunture, herbal medication, several rehabilitative therapies without western medication. We used evaluation scale including VAS(Visual Analogue Scale), MRC(Medicak Research Council) and Thermological Difference of between hand and foot. Results and Conclusions : In the results, the symptoms were improved gradually, and VAS and MRC were also numerically improved. Thermological Difference of between feet was decreased from$4.40^{\circ}C\;to\;0.26^{\circ}C$. In this case, a patient was treated by oriental medical treatments without western medication, and relatively the relatively the result was more effective.

The purpose of this study was to report the effect of Yinyang balancing appliance (YBA) of Functional Cerebrospinal Therapy (FCST) and Korean medicine methods treating idiopathic scoliosis. YBA was applied for 146 times from 29th March 2014 to 5th September 2015. Herbal medicine used for treatment were Yeonggamgangmisinhaintang, Eokgansangagambang, Gamihangchetang. The change of symptoms was evaluated by Visual Analogue Scale. When treated with YBA and herbal medicine, the patient showed improvement. After about 1 year, the patient was recovered completely. This case showed that YBA and herbal medicine can be effective to improve idiopathic scoliosis.

Objectives : The purpose of this study is to investigate the clinical application of chuna for temporomandibular joint(TMJ) in nuchal pain patients with temporomandibular joint disorder(TMD). Methods : Four patients were treated by chuna for TMJ to evaluate the effect of the treatment. The patient's symptoms were assessed by visual analogue scale(VAS), neck disability index(NDI), cervical lordotic curvature. Results : In all case, the pain was reduced according to VAS, NDI. cervical lordotic curvature of three cases were improved. Conclusions : These results suggest that chuna for TMJ might be an effective method to treat nuchal pain with TMD. But, it's necessary to have more observations and experiments.
