  • In this study, we found that the design can be configured according to the visual weight in the design of the interface. First of all, interface design has gone through the era of squeeze morphism to express depth and dimension by borrowing part of material design or head design from flat design. This is due to the characteristics of metro UI and flat design, which are difficult to express depth and dimension, but in material design, there was no separate device for inducing eyes, so Gestalt theory showed the principle of visual weight. Positive and negative, the size and placement of regions, proximity, closure, and notion were closely related to visual weight and orientation, and in some cases, it could be applied to the interface.

  • This research aims to find processes for developing the design language for the visual notes and design meaning of street furnitures. The result of this study are as follows. 1) The design language implies to get how to represent condensed symbols of the street furnitures. 2) The configuration of the street furnitures has their visual note and design meaning of community identity, represented their own detail design languages. 3) The detail design languages are useful to solve the matters of what design elements of the street furnitures can be composed of the visual notes and design meaning. 4) The detail design languages can be applied to the pattern of tools of Microsoft Office Word.

  • Vibrational analysis is presented for a visual alignment system of nano-imprint process in this study. For a nano-imprinting equipment, the visual alignment system is one of the essential parts in order to align the mold into the target panel. For the precision alignment, the vibration from inside and outside of the vision system should be avoided, and the elimination of the vibration should be considered in the design process of the visual alignment design. In this work, vibrational characteristics for the vision system frame is analyzed and topology optimization of a frame section area is carried out. With the results of the analysis, a new frame design are suggested. Design consideration for constructing a visual alignment system in view of optimal design is also discussed.

  • The importance of design is emphasized in many industries. It began to earn recognition as part of industry rather than the arts. In particular, utilization of visual information design including moving images, packaging, advertisement, publication, editorial and visual information processing is higher than others in the design field. However, disputes relating to intellectual property rights have been also increasing as it became known. Therefore, now is the time to consider and establish an effective dispute settlement system for the design industry. In this view, arbitration will be a suitable method for dispute settlement in visual information design because of characteristics such as confidentiality, professionalism, efficiency, economy and flexibility. However, Arbitration system is not well known to the people who work in this industry. Thus, in order to aggressively advertise the arbitration system, an arbitration institution has to appoint design experts as new arbitrators for domestic and international arbitration. Next, an arbitration institution needs to prepare the new and expediting rules with design field characterization. Finally, it has to plan to cooperate with all of the institutions and schools concerned.

  • Purpose: Visual design has many prospective applications, including attaining business, social, educational, and political goals. The purpose of this study is to gain an understanding of how visual design influences consumer-facing brand values and marketing messages. In order to be successful in marketing, one must promptly attract the attention of the clients one is attempting to sell to. Research design, data and methodology: In order for the research to provide useful information, it will be necessary to sort the findings in descending order of importance and construct an integrated whole out of the knowledge gleaned from various books, papers, and other sources. This method is essential for establishing the degree of objectivity present in each piece of research and combining the results of those studies. Results: Visual marketing promotes a product or service through moving or still images, illustrations, logos, and other forms of digital content. The audience may comprehend your message better if you include visuals. Even if people only scan your content, they may be more likely to notice it if it is presented appealingly. Conclusions: In conclusion, this study found that visual design substantially influences both the demand for products and the awareness of brand values within their target audiences

  • The purpose of this research was to identify the difference between expected and actual corporate image in the market and to verify the possibility of green-oriented corporate identity (CI) visual design as a useful method for communicating with consumers. In addition, this research suggests how green-oriented CI visual design can effectively convey corporate image to consumers. The methods of research used to achieve this aim were case studies and questionnaire surveys. In regard to the results, the difference between consumers'perceived favourable corporate image and companies' expectation about corporate image was found. Moreover, the results show that green-oriented visual identity (VI) design can improve corporate image. In turn, the gap between the expected and actual perception of corporate image can be decreased through green-oriented design. Based on these results, a method of effective development for green-oriented VI design is recommended.

  • Throughout the history of architecture, sometimes the main focus of design was determined by a particular visual representation method, and other times a particular form of visual representation method was required by perception of a particular architectural issue or an architectural form or idea. That is why the visual representation method of architects becomes an important means of reading the flow of idea and thinking behind architecture. This study is an investigation on the relation between architectural thinking and visual representation method expressed through the conceptual drawings by avant-garde architects of the 1970s and 80s, a period of the emergence of postmodernism. Rather than proving the objective reality regarded important by traditional architectural drawing, attempts are made to express the design concept in which the project has its base. Such interpretation and explanation regarding the concept become the main interest of the drawing. It is not that the architecture itself was not expressed in the contents, but it may not be the main subject of expression in the drawing. The value of architectural drawing recovers its value as an art work in itself, as a means of communication, and as an important conceptual tool in the design process. It can be seen that the visual representation method in postmodern architectural drawings is breaking free of the traditional objective depiction of matter and is changing and developing as a design tool of the architect.
