The purpose of this study is to find out the creative visual expression in fashion illustration through the previous general theories on creativity. The creative visual expression, in fashion illustration works, can be summarized eight categories as follows. There are 'maximization & minimization'to emphasize the illustrators'emotions and contemporary trends, proposed specially in body expression, 'inversion' seen as the forms of contra-perspective, upside-down, rearrangement of parts, diverted process, etc, 'Unusual uses'to add the effect of caricature, parody, and humor to the fashion illustration works, 'extraordinary connection'seen as the shapes of various combination between animals, plants, stuff, and man, 'concealment & elimination'used frequently in creative visual expression includes a deformed human body, an abstracted human body, an extreme value contrast, simple colors, and dress in silhouette, 'association'seen in various methods; comparing the similar shapes, describing a certain situation or details for analogizing the whole, ‘illusion’ expressed in surreal, mysterious, and fairy depictions and 'substitution'to imitate the composition and colors of masterpieces, copy the parts.

Visual effect production by computer graphics techniques has become more important in these days. However, there are three problems in the domestic contents production environments. First of all, most Korean film companies have insufficient generally potential to maintain and support their R&D (Research and Development) teams. Secondly, they are much dependent on the abroad commercial software tools. Finally, many people have to participate in the image production pipeline, called the labor-intensive pipeline. In producing a demonstration work, "The Sixty -miles-an-hour man", we have evaluated the usefulness of the developed camera tracking and image composition methods and then examined various production consideration elements. In addition, in order to develop a productive technical element and write a competitive film script, mutual understanding between the developers and the production users should be achieved. Also, this paper describes a role of the technical supervisor to direct the production environment in detail.

As digital mobile technology has advanced, vertical videos have emerged as a prominent format in the contemporary media field, presenting a new visual language that challenges traditional horizontal-centric aesthetic norms. This study delves into the visual and structural parallels and distinctions between traditional East Asian Hanging scrolls and contemporary vertical videos by applying traditional spatial composition techniques such as the 'Three Distances', 'One River, Two Banks', 'Intended Blank', and 'Unity of Poetry, Calligraphy, and Painting' to the creation of modern vertical videos. Through this comparative analysis, the research examines how vertical layouts enhance depth and layering of the screen, deepen emotional expression, and offer creators new avenues for expression. By juxtaposing the spatial compositions of traditional East Asian Hanging scrolls with those prevalent in today's digital vertical videos, this study seeks to uncover new visual languages and aesthetic values within the evolving media field.

TV 드라마에서 화면구도는 연출의도와 메시지를 전달하는 주요한 경로이다. 공간의 배치에 따라 시청자가 이를 인지, 해석, 수용하기 때문이다. 이에 연구자는 TV 드라마에 나타난 화면구도를 분석하여 구체화함으로써, 향후의 TV 드라마 제작과 해독에 기여 하고자 한다. 이를 위해 화면구도로 연구를 진행하여 미학적 근거를 찾고자 한다.

In recent years, visual design has become an emerging industry that creates production value in various countries, and visual design teachers have become a key factor affecting the development of designers and even the trend of the design industry. Therefore, the requirements for the ability of visual design teachers have become particularly important. This study takes the visual communication teachers in colleges and universities as the research object. Focus on the composition of competencies that teachers have when performing their duties. First of all, through document sorting, it is based on the five aspects of knowledge ability, teaching ability, practical ability, management ability and professional ethics. A Likert scale questionnaire was developed on the evaluation of visual design teachers' competencies by interviewing 10 visual design industry experts and conducting two Delphi method interviews. This research refers to the relevant literatures such as curriculum research and teaching objective research of design major, and discusses the evaluation standards of visual design teachers' abilities in colleges and universities. Expert interviews have sorted out 12 criteria and 36 sub-criteria about visual design teachers' abilities, and verified their rationality through expert return visits. The establishment of this evaluation standard provides a certain theoretical basis for visual design teachers' ability evaluation and self-cognition.

Mobile (smartphone) search engine marketing is increasingly important. Accordingly, the development of visual apparel search technology to obtain easier and faster access to visual information in the apparel field is urgently needed. This study helps establish a proper classifying system for an apparel search after an analysis of search techniques for apparel search applications and existing domestic and overseas apparel sites. An annotation technique is developed in accordance with visual attributes and apparel categories based on collected data obtained by web crawling and apparel images collecting. The categorical composition of apparel is divided into wearing, image and style. The web evaluation site traces the correlations of the apparel category and apparel factors as dependent upon visual attributes. An appraisal team of 10 individuals evaluated 2860 pieces of merchandise images. Data analysis consisted of correlations between apparel, sleeve length and apparel category (based on an average analysis), and correlation between fastener and apparel category (based on an average analysis). The study results can be considered as an epoch-making mobile apparel search system that can contribute to enhancing consumer convenience since it enables an effective search of type, price, distributor, and apparel image by a mobile photographing of the wearing state.

MPEG-4 content is streaming media that are composed of different types of media objects, organized in a hierarchical fashion. This paper proposes scene composition model for authoring MPEG-4 contents which can support object based interactions. And we have developed MPEG-4 contents authoring tool applied the proposed scene composition model as intermediate data structure. Particularly, for supporting interoperability between multimedia contents, the scene composition model should be used independent of file format. So visual scene composed of media objects on the from of scene composition tree can be transformed variable data format including BIFS, scene description from proposed by MPEG-4 standard and also support the extension of capability.

Emergence events are the cause of much economic damage. In order to minimize the damage that these events cause, it must be possible to predict what will happen in the future. Accordingly, many researchers have focused on real-time monitoring, detecting events, and investigating events. In addition, there have also been many studies on predictive analysis for forecasting of future trends. However, most studies provide future tendency per event without contextual compositive analysis. In this paper, we present a predictive visual analytics system using topic composition to provide future trends per event. We first extract abnormal topics from social media data to find interesting and unexpected events. We then search for similar emergence patterns in the past. Relevant topics in the past are provided by news media data. Finally, the user combines the relevant topics and a new context is created for contextual prediction. In a case study, we demonstrate our visual analytics system with two different cases and validate our system with possible predictive story lines.

Creative environment for sales that a company's image can be effectively delivered to consumers increases consumption desirability and puts confidence in products. Thus, it can be resulted in increasing company's profit. However, nowadays commercial spaces do not show their differences from others due to an excessive competition. Therefore, groping a differentiated composition for commercial spaces should be importantly considered because consumers wants to meet their own individuality in the fashion speciality store. The purpose of this paper is in present the way of differentiating images for commercial spaces. In order to investigate, the role of a wall in commercial spaces should be reconsidered. The concept of a wall in fashion store in the past was understood as one of the structures in the building and a place that displays commodities for sales. However, this paper introduces a new concept of a wall as an important visual function in the fashion store. In other words, the new concept emphasized functions and compositions of a wall in the perspective of symbolic and visual sides, instead of a physical side. Moreover, this paper presents the relationship between the internal side of a wall which has a high frequency of visually and the external side of a wall which has a signaling effect to the consumers. Finally, this paper shows effective way of expressing company's image in the fashion store by adopting the new concept of a wall composition.

In this study, I examined the visual elements for narrative structure and the symbols, scene components and visual styles in the images through analyze the flat staging in Tomm Moore's animated feature film, . As a research method, I figure out the general theories about staging and analyze extracted scenes which revealed flat staging in the , then summarize and clarify the flat staging production elements and features of Tomm Moore. As a result, in , the composition of the screen using the basic shapes, the screen composition containing the spiral which is symbol of the Celtic traditional pattern, the stable and flat frame expression through the balanced screen composition, expression of spatial sensation using perspective, appearance of the period by using the inverted perspective, and composition that can emphasize the flat formability are appeared as a characteristic. Through this, the two-dimensional planarity was maximized to convey the feeling of appreciating the illustrations of fairy tales. Tomm Moore, who produced animation based on folk tales in order to inherit the traditional culture of Ireland, has been attracting worldwide attention because of its flat staging to help narrative, enhancing the original expression and performance of animation. I hope that this study will be used as basic data for industry workers and researchers who make unique and excellent animated feature film.
