근시성 난시안에서 난시축 변화가 시력에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Visual acuity for Change of Astigmatism axis in Myopic astigmatism)

  • 본 연구는 근시성 난시안에서 난시축의 변화에 따른 시력상태를 비교분석하고, 정확한 시력검사와 처방서에 따른 난시 교정용 안경의 조제 가공 오차를 최소화 하고자 한다. 안질환 및 전신질환이 없는 근시성 난시를 가지고 있는 남 녀 93명(186안)을 대상자로 선정하였다. 완전교정상태에서 난시축의 $5^{\circ}$, $10^{\circ}$, $15^{\circ}$ 변화하였을 때의 시력을 비교하였다. 난시의 종류는 186안 중에서 중에서 직난시의 비율이 가장 높았다. 1.0으로 완전교정시 난시축의 변화에 따른 시력의 변화는 난시축 변화가 크면 클수록 시력이 감소하는 것으로 나타났다. 난시의 형태는 연령의 증가와 함께 직난시에서 도난시로 바뀌는 것을 알 수 있었으며, 난시의 교정축 변화가 클수록 교정시력은 떨어지는 것으로 나타났다. 난시의 굴절검사를 실시할 때는 난시도수와 난시축을 정확히 검사하고 교정하는 것이 융합되어야 할 것이다.

시각구조분석을 통한 벽의 구성과 특성에 관한 연구 -회화위주 전시공간을 대상으로- (A Study on The Composition and Characteristics of WaIls through Visual Configuration Analyses - Focusing on the Exhibition Space for Paintings -)

  • The walls of art museums become the background of exhibits, and they form a unit space depending on the of each exhibit. In addition, the walls are configured and presented depending on the rhythm of space, or the structure of an axis. In this study, according to the axis composed for each unit space, the presentation methods of walls were classified as follows: The central type, the skewed type, the crossed type, the one-side corridor type, and the two-way corridor type. By analyzing visual configurations formed by the arrangement of each unit space, the value and the hierarchy of walls are discussed To analyze the classified types with the physical change of unit space, the factors of visual integration, connectivity, depth, and visual axis are compared, and various configurations of walls and space change are applied.

생태경관자원 활용을 고려한 신안군 경관기본계획 (Visual Landscape Plan for Shinan Province with Ecological Landscape Resources)

  • The purpose of this study is to suggest the visual landscape plan for Shinan province with ecological landscape resources, which is comprised of more than 1,000 islands. The plan was done by the order of image plan, landscape structure plan and detained landscape plan. The image of Shinan province was elicited as 'nature', 'complexity' and 'connectivity', by the aspects of planning, cognitive and strategic sides. The landscape zones are planned, such as leisure zone, rural & marine ecological zone and marine tourism zone, and the landscape axes are also set, such as marine axis, ecological axis and circular axis. Especially to conserve the ecological resources, some conservation zones are proposed and design guidelines for each landscape type are also provided, which are not commonly included in the urban landscape plan. Consequently, the landscape plan and ecological environmental plan were complementary to each other. In the detailed landscape plan, more specific plans and design guidelines are suggested for coastal scenery, village and forest scenery, historical and cultural landscape management and promotion. To improve the visual landscape in terms of planning and administrative aspects, the visual landscape plan has become increasingly important for the local governments. The establishment of visual landscape plan may hopefully help to make Shinan province more beautiful and attractive. The landscape plan and ecological environment plan should be integrated, and the further discussion and research are necessary.

지리산(智異山) 남록(南麓)의 산지가람(山地伽藍)인 화엄사(華嚴寺) 동·서 5층 석탑의 배치(配置)에 대한 시각적(視覺的) 분석(分析) (Visual Analysis on the Arrangement of the East and West Stone Pagodas of Five Stories in Hwaeomsa)

  • This study is to find out the plan intention of the central space through visual analysis on the east and west stone pagodas relative to a main Buddhist hall, and the relation between the stone pagodas in Hwaeomsa.(華嚴寺) According to the analysis of it in this study, we make conclusions as follows; 1) The east and west stone pagodas was arranged with overlapping each Daeungjeon(大雄殿) and Gakhwangjeon(覺皇殿) for the view of a specific viewpoint, on the right of Bojeru(普濟樓). 2) The centering around a compositive axis which connect Gakhwangjeon, stone lantern, and stairs, the axis of two stone pagodas is not coincident. 3) Courtyard in Hwaeomsa is separated by high a stone wall for reinforcement, but it is integrated into visual perception owing to height of two stone pagodas connected visual line to Daeungjeon and Gakhwangjeon.

면직물의 구성특성이 시지각에 미치는 영향과 이미지 스케일에 관한 연구 (Effect of Constituent Characteristics of Cotton Fabrics on the Visual Perception and Image Scale)

  • The purpose of this study is to verify the visual perception on various cotton fabrics of the same color. Results obtained through subjective evaluation of cotton fabrics showed that the textural adjectives could be classified into 3; warm/cool, flexibility and surface property, the sensibility adjectives into 5; simple, attractive, masculine, conservative, comfortable and visual perception adjectives into 6; hard, warm, smooth, brilliant, classic and casual. Image distribution results on 12 different fabrics, showed different distributions among textiles on visual perception due to varying texture and sensibility. In thickness, weight, weave type, bending and surface characteristics which are structure characteristics, significant differences were shown for visual perception examination. Having placed into an image scale, visual perception dimension developed divided into the 'soft-hard' axis and the 'warm-cool' axis.

Effect of Under and Over Refractive Correction on Visual Acuity Performance using Two Different Charts

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of under and over refractive correction on visual acuity performance and the variation of the visual performance measurement using two different visual acuity charts. Methods: Ten young adults, aged between 19 and 25 years old, were recruited. Inclusion criteria: no history of ocular injury or pathology with a best-corrected visual acuity of 6/6 on dominant eye. The over and under refractive corrections were induced using minus and plus spherical ophthalmic lenses in 0.50 D steps up to 3.00 D; as well as using three axis orientations of cylindrical ophthalmic lenses ($45^{\circ}$, $90^{\circ}$ and $180^{\circ}$) in 0.50 D steps. The variation of visual acuity performance measurements was investigated using Bailey-Lovie LogMAR chart and Landolt C chart. Results: The visual acuity changes with lenses were significantly different between two charts [F = 49.15, p < 0.05 with plus spherical ophthalmic lenses and F = 174.38, p < 0.05 with minus spherical ophthalmic lenses]. The visual acuity changes with three different cylindrical axis showed no significant difference between Bailey-Lovie LogMAR chart [F = 2.35, p > 0.05] and Landolt C chart [F = 3.12, p = 0.05]. Conclusions: The over and under refractive correction affected the visual acuity performance differently. The Landolt C chart and Bailey-Lovie LogMAR chart demonstrated variation in measurements.

시각작업의 배경 조건과 8개 Meridian을 고려한 시각영역의 생성 (Generation of Visual Field Considering 8 Meridians and Background Conditions of Visual Tasks)

  • Among numerous factors that have an effect on visual field, the effects of background condition on the size of the visual field were investigated to obtain more practical visual field that can be readily applicable to industrial settings. A visual experiment was conducted, in which the subject was instructed to search a target with distinct orientations. Size contrast, meridian, nontarget density, and subject's gender showed a significant effect on the size of the visual field at $\alpha=0.01$. The size of the visual field was linearly proportional to size contrast, and inversely proportional to density. Female's visual fields were found to be significantly larger than male subjects', The size of the visual field on horizontal axis was larger than that on vertical axis, and the size of the head & eye field on right meridian was also larger than that on left meridian. The shape was found to be horizontally oriented oval and statistically asymmetric with respect to horizontal and vertical axes. The regression equations to predict the visual fields on the given background condition were suggested. The visual fields suggested in this study would be valuable to the design of visual displays and the panel layout of various displays and controls.

검영기 훈련 모형안의 굴절상태 눈금과 벗어난 시축의 평가 (Evaluation of scale accuracy and effect of off-the-visual-axis on schematic retinoscope training eye)

  • 검영기 훈련 모형안(모형안)에 표시된 굴절상태 눈금과 벗어난 시축의 효과를 타각적 굴절검사인 검영법으로 알아보자 하였다. 두 명의 능숙한 retinoscopist가 검영법을 이용하여 굴절상태를 무작위로 검사하였다. 동일한 7개의 훈련 모형안을 선정하여 각각 +4에서 -6 diopter(+4, +3, +2, +1, 0, -1, -2, -3, -4, -5, -6) 굴절상태 눈금을 맞추고 거리보정용 시험렌즈를 가입하여 180도 경선에서 중화거리를 측정하여 눈금설정 상태를 평가하였고, 시축과 5, 10, 15, 20도 시축에서 벗어난 굴절력을 측정하였다. 두 명의 retinoscopist가 측정한 눈금설정 상태는 7개 중 6개의 훈련 모형안 이 통계적인 차이가 있었다(P<0.05). 5, 10, 15, 20도 시축에서 벗어난 검영법 굴절력은 $-0.13{\pm}0.06$, $-0.29{\pm}0.06$, $-0.58{\pm}0.11$, $-0.83{\pm}0.16$ diopter 이였다. 모형안에 표시된 굴절상태 눈금과 검영법을 이용하여 측정한 굴절상태 눈금이 다를 수 있고, 모형안에 검영을 시축에 벗어나 시행할 경우 굴절 검사값에 오차를 유발할 수 있다.

탈수직축 회전자극을 이용한 자세조절기능의 평가 (Evaluation of Postural Control by Off-vertical Axis Rotation)

  • Off-vertical axis rotator was developed to differentiate each function of the canal and otolith in the vestibular system and evaluate subjective symptoms during postural change. Eye movement induced by various types of rotation was measured in normal subjects. Nystagmus with fast component corresponding to direction of rotation was occurred by sinusoidal earth vertical axis rotation, and the gain of eye movement in vestibuloocular reflex (VOR) was lower than in visual vestibuloocular reflex (VVOR) and higher than in visual fixed vestibuloocular reflex (VFX). Degree of dizziness was proportioned to degree of gain. off-vertical axis rotation was produced severe dizziness than earth vertical axis rotation. These results suggest stimulation of the otolith should be minimized to make a stable and pleasant condition in work and travel.

  • Nano manipulator is used to manufacture Carbon NanoTube(CNT) tips. Using nano manipulator operator attaches a CNT at the end of Atomic Force Microscopy(AFM) tip, which requires a master mechanic and long manufacture time. Nano manipulator is installed inside Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) chamber to observe the operation. This paper presents a control of horizontal axis of nano manipulator via processing SEM image. Edges of AFM tip and CNT are first detected, the position information so obtained is fed to control horizontal axis of nano manipulator. To be specific, visual servoing loop was realized to control the axis more precisely.
