Workflow Scheduling Using Heuristic Scheduling in Hadoop

  • In our research study, we aim at optimizing multiple load in cloud, effective resource allocation and lesser response time for the job assigned. Using Hadoop on datacenter is the best and most efficient analytical service for any corporates. To provide effective and reliable performance analytical computing interface to the client, various cloud service providers host Hadoop clusters. The previous works done by many scholars were aimed at execution of workflows on Hadoop platform which also minimizes the cost of virtual machines and other computing resources. Earlier stochastic hill climbing technique was applied for single parameter and now we are working to optimize multiple parameters in the cloud data centers with proposed heuristic hill climbing. As many users try to priorities their job simultaneously in the cluster, resource optimized workflow scheduling technique should be very reliable to complete the task assigned before the deadlines and also to optimize the usage of the resources in cloud.

생성적 적대 신경망 기반 3차원 포인트 클라우드 향상 기법 (3D Point Cloud Enhancement based on Generative Adversarial Network)

  • Recently, point clouds are generated by capturing real space in 3D, and it is actively applied and serviced for performances, exhibitions, education, and training. These point cloud data require post-correction work to be used in virtual environments due to errors caused by the capture environment with sensors and cameras. In this paper, we propose an enhancement technique for 3D point cloud data by applying generative adversarial network(GAN). Thus, we performed an approach to regenerate point clouds as an input of GAN. Through our method presented in this paper, point clouds with a lot of noise is configured in the same shape as the real object and environment, enabling precise interaction with the reconstructed content.

  • This paper presents an interactive locomotion controller using motion capture data and inverted pendulum model. Most of the data-driven character controller using motion capture data have two kinds of limitation. First, it needs many example motion capture data to generate realistic motion. Second, it is difficult to make natural-looking motion when characters navigate dynamic terrain. In this paper, we present a technique that uses dimension reduction technique to motion capture data together with the Gaussian process dynamical model (GPDM), and interpolates the low-dimensional data to make final motion. With the low-dimensional data, we can make realistic walking motion with few example motion capture data. In addition, we apply the inverted pendulum model (IPM) to calculate the root trajectory considering the real-time user input upon the dynamic terrain. Our method can be used in game, virtual training, and many real-time applications.

국방 훈련체계용 가상물리시스템 시간 동기화 기법 (Time Synchronization Scheme of Cyber-Physical Systems for Military Training Systems)

  • LVC(Live Virtual Constructive) 통합 훈련 체계는 대표적인 가상물리시스템 중 하나이다. LVC 훈련 체계를 구성하는 각 L,V,C 체계들은 서로 다른 시간 도메인, 해상도 및 동작 방식을 갖는다. 이에 각 체계의 이종 미들웨어들을 공통의 통신 미들웨어로서 통합하고, 연동 gateway (GW)를 이용하여 이종 체계를 연동하는 방안 연구는 매우 중요하다. 특히, LVC체계는 서로 다른 시간 도메인을 사용하고 있기 때문에 다른 체계 간 이벤트들의 인과성 보장과 시간 동기화에 대한 연구가 필요하다. 본 연구에서는 LVC 훈련체계의 통합 미들웨어로서 L 체계의 실시간 통신 미들웨어인 OMG DDS(Data Distribution Service)를 기반으로 HLA(High Level Architecture)/RTI(Run Time Infrastructure)기반의 시뮬레이션 시간을 사용하는 V, C 체계와 시간 차원에서 연동하는 방안을 제시한다. 본 논문에서는 HLA의 Time management 기능과 Clock Federate를 기반으로 DDS와 HLA 각각의 통신 개체인 파티서펀트(Participant)와 페더레이트(Federate)간 인과성을 유지하는 정밀한 시간 동기화 기법을 제안한다. 더불어, 각 미들웨어 상에서 실제 응용을 개발하여 제안한 방식에 의해 이종 체계 간 시간 제어 및 동기화가 이루어짐을 검증한다.

가우시안 혼합모델 기반 탄종별 K2 소화기의 약실압력 모델링 (Gaussian Mixture based K2 Rifle Chamber Pressure Modeling of M193 and K100 Bullets)

  • This paper presents a chamber pressure model development of K2 rifle by applying Gaussian mixture model. In order to materialize a real recoil force of a virtual reality shooting rifle in military combat training, the chamber pressure which is one of major components of the recoil force needs to be investigated and modeled. Over 200,000 data of the chamber pressure were collected by implementing live fire experiments with both K100 and M193 of 5.56 mm bullets. Gaussian mixture method was also applied to create a mathematical model that satisfies nonlinear, asymmetry, and deviations of the chamber pressure which is caused by irregular characteristics of propellant combustion. In addition, Polynomial and Fourier Regression were used for comparison of results, and the sum of squared errors, the coefficient of determination and root-mean-square errors were analyzed for performance measurement.

  • Audience reactions in response to remote virtual performances must be compressed before being transmitted to the server. The server, which aggregates these data for group insights, requires a distribution code for the transfer. Recently, distributed learning algorithms such as federated learning have gained attention as alternatives that satisfy both the information security and efficiency requirements. In distributed learning, no individual user has access to complete information, and the objective is to achieve a learning effect similar to that achieved with the entire information. It is therefore important to distribute interdependent information among users and subsequently aggregate this information following training. In this paper, we present a new extension technique for minimal code that allows a new minimal code with a different length and Hamming weight to be generated through the product of any vector and a given minimal code. Thus, the proposed technique can generate minimal codes with previously unknown parameters. We also present a scenario wherein these combined methods can be applied.

  • In case of indoor gymnastics training floor, in view of its characteristics, since it is simultaneously required the related smooth communication between the coach and the player, also the acoustic performance regarding to the Clearness of Music, besides the sport activity, the consideration about the acoustic character has entered the stage as an indispensable element. On such viewpoint, on the object of the recently built dome-typed gymnastics training floor, after making the optimized acoustic design with the remodeling through acoustic simulation, by means of measurement and valuation on human's psychological(sensual) degree utilizing Auralization that enables to experience the virtual sound field at the stage of design, this thesis has attempted to survey of the acoustic satisfaction degree and its reaction about the gymnastics training floor. As the result of investigation about the research on the space of object, it could be known that the valuation regarding to the acoustic performance of 'After-Improvement' was distinctly more refined than that of 'Before-Improvement'. It is now considering that such result of the study can be utilized as the useful data which enables to improve the retrenchment effect of the construction cost as well as the acoustic capability, by means of the prediction control on the acoustic problem from the stage of design, for the occasion when the similar indoor sport gymnasium is planning to build for the near future.

  • 현재 교육시장의 추세는 4차 산업혁명과 ICT의 발전으로 다양한 기술이 교육 시스템에 접목된 에듀테크 기술로 발전하고 있다. 특히 가상공간에서 실제와 같은 몰입감 있는 학습효과가 가능한 에듀테크 시스템 시장이 확대되고 있다. 하지만 국내 한의학 교육은 침술을 훈련하고 평가하기 위한 교육시뮬레이터 및 시스템의 부재로 객관적이지 못한 교육이 진행되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 "침술 훈련 시스템을 위한 경혈점 콘텐츠 및 인체모형 설계"의 후속연구로 경혈점 교육 효과의 증대를 위한 침술컨트롤러 및 인체모형을 제안한다. 제안하는 침술컨트롤러와 인체모형을 통해 경혈점 데이터 정합도 측정 및 콘텐츠 모션인식률에 대한 침술부위의 정확성을 제시한다. 또한 컨트롤러의 환경신뢰성 평가를 위한 온습도 및 온도변화 시험 결과를 제시한다.

Effect of pre-hospital BLS simulation training on the paramedic's competency

  • The purpose of the study is to investigate the effect of a simulation training of BLS in paramedics in pre-hospital situation. This a nonequivalence control quasi-experimental study. The study subjects were 8 paramedics of experimental group and 8 paramedics of control group in K fire department. An informed consent was written by the subjects after explaining of the purpose of the study. The study methods consisted of conventional education and practice training. The conventional education was done for 30 minutes and the practice training was taken by four trainees of one group and the instructor demonstrated Basic Iife Support (BLS) performance for three minutes. Each trainer peformed BLS for ten minutes. In the beginning of the course, two paramedics got off from the ambulance and performed BLS including 5 cycles of Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR). Soon after the BLS, another two paramedics performed pre-hospital BLS survey. The education was guided by two professors of emergency medical technology, two Basic Iife Support instructors, and two emergency rescue directors. Pre-hospital BLS was measured by a 5-point Likert scale. Higher score means higher performance skills. The data were analyzed using SPSS/WIN 22.0 program set at significance level of p<05. The effect of simulation education was much more significant than the conventional education in BLS. The simulation education is very important and effective in improving the clinical performance skills of paramedics than the conventional education. The simulation education can provide the virtual environment of cardiac arrest to the paramedics. In conclusion, the simulation education can provide the effective teaching methods for various practice performance skills and solution by critical thinking in the paramedics and healthcare providers in the future.

가상 건설 시스템 개발 현황과 비전 (The Present Status and Vision of Virtual Construction System Development)

  • 가상건설시스템 개발연구단은 국토해양부와 한국건설교통기술평가원의 지원 하에 설립되었다. 본 연구단은 건설프로젝트의 생산성 향상, 고 부가가치 사업 창출, 해외건설시장에서의 경쟁력 확보라는 목표를 가지고 연구를 수행 중에 있다. 가상건설 시스템은 건축물의 전 생애주기에서 발생되는 정보를 효과적으로 공유할 수 있도록 3D 및 정보 기반의 설계, 엔지니어링, 건설관리 업무를 지원하게 된다. 위의 목표를 달성하기 위해서 연구단은 가상건설시스템 하위에 다양한 기능을 수행하는 모듈들을 개발하는 데에 연구의 초점을 맞추고 있다. 첫째, 3D 기반 구조 설계 설비 및 견적시스템 개발이다. 둘째, 가상현실 기법을 활용한 기획단계에서의 프로세스 시뮬레이션 및 사업성 분석 시스템 개발이다. 셋째, 건설프로젝트에서 다루어지는 모든 정보를 관리할 수 있는 CPLM(Construction Project Life-cycle Management)을 개발하는 것이다. CPLM은 3D 기술과 정보 기반 협업을 통한 의사결정 지원 시스템이다. 이와 같은 본 연구단의 최종목표에 도달하기 위하여 2차 년도에 가상건설 프로토타입 시스템을 개발 완료하였고, 3차 년도 가상건설 시스템의 각 모듈 완성 및 시스템 통합을 목표로 연구를 진행하고 있다. 본 연구는 향후 건설산업에서 필수개념으로 자리잡게 될 BIM의 국가적 차원의 연구라는 점에서 시사하는 바가 크다고 할 수 있다.
