  • In this paper, we study the synchronization method of animated simulations and VRs for on-line virtual reality education system. To build the data of animated simulations and synchronization modules of VRML content, the media-synchronizing technology, HTML + TIME and scripts are used. The VRML control module ismade into Java applet using the Java EAI provided for the web and the interface for VRML contents. To control the animation of VRML contents, the node information is extracted, and an animation production template capable of controlling animation in inter-connection with VRML content is made. With evaluation of the animation control performance, processing speed, synchronization performance between media in the system built, more improved results are obtained. We would like to suggest a education system with easy system construction and various multi-medium applicability by realizing HTML + TIME media synchronization and VRML web 3D virtual reality creation techniques, and animated images and 3D animation controls according to time using Java through this study.

  • In this paper, methods are proposed for creating a curved line in a navigation mesh, which is used in a windows based virtual reality or games. The main geographies used in a windows based virtual reality or games are created by using either grids or navigation meshes. When using grids, it is difficult to create a natural geography. Multiple grids are needed to ensure precise descriptions, which can result in system overload. A navigation mesh was developed to address this issue since the navigation mesh has the benefit of placing fewer loads on the system than a grid method. The drawback, however, is that the movements of character in navigation mesh are less natural. In this paper, a method for creating a curved line using round curves is proposed in order to resolve this issue. Using the methods for creating a curved line proposed in this paper in a windows based virtual reality or games will eliminate the unnatural or awkward movement of characters that arises in the use of a navigation mesh.

  • IT convergence technology is gradually becoming anthropocentric and evolving based on the low-carbon green growth. Augmented reality technique is a contents convergence technology that can mix virtual objects while maintaining a sense of the real world. For that reason, interaction between user and system is possible, can make various applications, and has a high possibility for expandability. To expand the scope of existing interaction, this paper suggests contextual UX-based augmented reality system. It is a system which creates virtual objects that respond to the changes in the real world environment, and users can directly apply their personal preferences to virtual objects. Also, several virtual objects can be registered all at once, and even shows animations corresponding to either day and night according to the brightness of illumination. As said, it improves user's satisfaction through a system of mixed usability, and leads to a continuous use of augmented reality contents.

  • In recent years, devices using the smart ponwa IT service is activated, to research how the fusion of two or more devices will be able to be interest in the soybeans. One of them in the mobile sector through the development of network and hardware digital geo-spatial map of the rapid advances being made and the computer, how do you map data to efficiently simulate a 3D environment, providing services through a virtual environment focused on whether be. In this study, augmented reality and GIS (Geographic Information System), SLM (Static LOD Model) that combines augmented reality technology on the basis of the basic concepts and approaches in geographic space and how Augmented Reality Based on this interpretation of the relevant content What to do in the development and utilization has a purpose. In this study, the conventional SLM 3DS model data structure of a data format conversion of the proposed possibilities for analyzing and, SLM model generation and format of the existing three-dimensional visualization tools SLM model format for converting a format to a model function, and visualization features. In addition, 3D virtual model to propose a format for efficiently making.

  • In this study, based on the general reasoning that the higher the resolution of the HMD, the greater the presence and immersion of the audience and the greater the presence experience, the difference in the presence experience according to the resolution of the virtual reality device is verified empirically Presence effect. To do this, 300 college students were included in the population, and VR simulations of the Oculus store were conducted using HMD and mobile devices with different resolutions (HD, FHD, WQHD) as stimuli. As a result, there was a significant difference in the presence experience of the audience according to the resolution of the mobile device attached to the virtual reality HMD, and the presence effect had a significant influence on the awakening. On the other hand, no significant influence was found in the effect of emotion. Therefore, we can prove a general reasoning hypothesis that the higher the resolution of the virtual reality device, the greater the presence experience of the audience. However, since the confounding effect and the impression are contradictory in the presence effect side, additional experiments research is required.

  • The game industry has changed along with the advancement of device technology. The wearable, a recently appeared device will create new demand in this saturated age of the smart devices. The game industry's content targeted towards the wearable devices will play an important role as main driving source. For this reason, this research studies the development aspect and the current technical capabilities of games' platforms and contents by analyzing the contrast between the results of features and current situations of the wearable market. Consequently, we define the prospects of game content for wearable device. We also expect that the new style of the game content, combined with cloud game, augmented reality game and virtual reality game will appear in the next generation platforms gearing towards the wearable devices.

  • Currently mobile services are on the verge of full commercialization ahead of 5G mobile communication (5G). The first goal could be to preempt the 5G market through realistic media services utilizing VR (Virtual Reality) and AR (Augmented Reality) technologies that users can most easily experience. Basically this movement is based on the advanced development of smart devices and high quality graphics processing computing power of mobile application processors. Accordingly, the importance of mobile GPUs is emerging and the most concern issue becomes a model for predicting the power and performance for smooth operation of high quality mobile contents. In many cases, the performance of mobile GPUs has been introduced in terms of power consumption of mobile GPUs using dynamic voltage and frequency scaling and throttling functions for power consumption and heat management. This paper introduces several studies of mobile GPU performance prediction model with user-friendly methods not like conventional power centric performance prediction models.

  • The purpose of this study is to verify the effect of the contents of tooth extraction education using VR(virtual reality) on knowledge, performance and satisfaction of practicing teeth. To accomplish this purpose, we divided 72 dental students into the two groups: The experimental group 30 dental students using VR based tooth extraction training contents. And the control group consisted of 42 participants. As a first result for the study, The experimental group using VR tooth extraction content and control group receiving the training using the tooth model based content showed no statistically significant difference in tooth extraction knowledge. Second, in the case of performance of tooth extraction (before tooth extraction-tooth extraction-after tooth extraction-finishing), the training group using VR tooth extraction contents was higher than the control group. Third, The satisfaction rate of the practice group using VR tooth extraction education contents was higher than in the control group. Therefore, it can be seen that the practical training using the VR applied tooth extraction contents improves the performance of the tooth extraction and the satisfaction of the practice more than the existing practice method.

  • The purpose of this study was to present a educational content developed for training of dental extraction skill in a virtual environment. The development of the content consists of five steps: learning content analysis, draw a design model, development, test of validity, rectification and complete of the content. We developed the virtual reality (VR) simulator with producing an animation of surgical stages on the 3D models of human face for simulating dental extraction procedure. The results of validity tests for the content were mean 4.81 (SD, 0.72) for interface validity and mean 4.66 (SD, 0.71) for content validity, which represents strong evidence for the validity of the content. The data of the study indicates that the educational content developed for training of dental extraction skill using VR technology can be suitable to improve surgical skill of dental extraction in clinical field. We expect that further development of the education contents based on the VR technology to improve various surgical skills in clinical field will be addressed in the future.
