  • Recent advanced interlace technologies allow the user to interact with different spaces such as Virtual Reality (VR), Augmented Reality (AR) and Ubiquitous Computing (UC) spaces. Here, we present a LEGO House application, a collaborative application which involves multi interaction spaces -VR, AR and UC spaces. The LEGO House application is built based on the VARU framework which is designed for enabling the prototyping of a tangible space application. The application is about an interior design. One user is located in the combined AR and UC space and interacts with the AR LEGO house and the physical smart devices. The other users interact with the virtual LEGO house but they share the same environment, the LEGO house. Therefore, they can collaborate together as they are co-located.

  • Recently, realistic contents using virtual reality and augmented reality are attracting attention as learning aids. 3D-based contents have the advantage of being able to observe and experience objects from various angles than 2D-based contents shown on a flat surface. In this paper, we propose a content design based on 3D model for Arduino learning in a virtual environment. The Arduino board and sensor were implemented using Blender, and a 3D-based simulator environment was constructed using the Unity engine. The proposed content uses the Arduino board and sensor implemented in 3D so that learners can easily experience the working principle of Arduino and the coding process.

  • In general, virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR) are technologies used to overcome the limitations of space and time in human communications. Currently, VR and AR companies are mostly developing contents for a single user. However, it is expected that there will be a need for sharing experiences among two or more users in a VR/AR environment. In this paper, we investigate the trends in remote collaboration technologies for VR/AR that allow two or more users to share video, voice, and gestures, as well as emotions. We will also discuss the future of such technologies.

  • In this paper, We propose Augmented Reality (AR) System for the interaction between user's hand motion and virtual object motion based on computer vision. The previous AR system provides inconvenience to user because the users have to control the marker and the sensor like a tracker. We solved the problem through hand motion and provide the convenience to the user. Also the motion of virtual object using a physical phenomenon gives a reality. The proposed system obtains geometrical information by the marker and hand. The system environments like virtual space of moving virtual ball and bricks are made by using the geometrical information and user's hand motion is obtained from the hand's information with extracted feature point through the taping hand. And it registers a virtual plane stably by getting movement of the feature points. The movement of the virtual ball basically is parabolic motion with a parabolic equation. When the collision occurs either the planes or the bricks, we show movement of the virtual ball with ball position and normal vector of plane and the ball position is faulted. So we showed corrected ball position through experiment. and we proved that this system can replaced the marker system to compare to jitter of augmented virtual object and progress speed with it.

  • As the interest in home furnishing becomes more focused due to the increase of small-sized households, the need for a virtual simulation system for this purpose is increasing. However, in the case of existing virtual simulation systems, simulation is performed using a virtual object in a virtual space, so accurate simulation results can not be derived. In the case of a simulation using an augmented reality, Thereby causing inconsistency in space. In this paper, we propose a system that performs the home furnishing simulation by modifying and enhancing objects in the process of matching feature coordinates of real space.

  • The technology to build the virtual world metaverse is based on virtual augmented reality and electronic communication technology. Metaverse is establishing itself as a new industry in non-face-to-face society as a platform where users can engage in various activities such as play, work, consumption, and communication through avatars. In this paper, while interest in metaverse is increasing and it is expected to develop into a promising industry that will create a new market, this paper will examine the fields of application of metaverse and consider the development direction of the future metaverse industry.

  • Augmented reality (AR), which integrates virtual media into reality, is increasingly utilized across various industrial sectors, thanks to advancements in 3D graphics and mobile device technologies. The IT industry is thus carrying out active R&D activities about AR platforms. Google plays a significant role in the AR landscape, with a focus on ARCore services. An essential aspect of ARCore is the use of anchors, which serve as reference points that help maintain the position and orientation of virtual objects within the physical environment. However, if the accuracy of anchor positioning is suboptimal when running AR content, it can significantly diminish the user's immersive experience. We are to assess the performance of these anchors in this study. To conduct the performance evaluation, virtual 3D objects, matching the shape and size of real-world objects, we strategically positioned ourselves to overlap with their physical counterparts. Images of both real and virtual objects were captured from five distinct camera trajectories, and ARCore's performance was analyzed by examining the difference between these captured images.

  • 본 논문에서는 문화유산 현장에서의 몰입형 교육을 위한 VST(Video See-through) 방식의 HMD(Head Mounted Display) 기반 XR(eXtended Reality) 체험 프레임워크를 제안한다.
