This study tried to establish a tentative renewal guideline on spatial structure of the Hub-myun's center villages which would be positioned as sub-centers in the rural settlement hierarchy in Korea. Space Syntax Method was used to analyze the locational characteristics of community facilities in the center villages of 8 pilot project areas which were selected in the nationwide scale. The base-maps for spatial analysis works were prepared firstly from satellite pictures and adjusted through field check. Generally, connectivity and global integration values of center villages were calculated as higher than hinterland villages, which would mean better accessible spatial characteristics in the center villages. And a tentative renewal guideline was proposed for road route improvement and relocation of community facilities in the Hub-myun's center villages.
The purpose of is study deals with the physical therapy and the delivery system of public health center, as a center, in community based rehabilitation and delivery system. We hope that the system of physical therapy of public health center in community based rehabilitation spreads all over the country and contributes to the promotion of national health and social welfare. There are many public health center in the country because it can serve inhabitants with the medical benefits in the Erst line. public health center continuously provides poor inhabitants who cant pay medical expenses care of health. It has the public health center branches that take care of inhabitants who live a remote village and hiterland. Additionally, many people want to receive physical therapy. Therefore, the physical therapy of public health center becomes the central paint in community based rehabilitation so that we supply the inhabitants with superior rehabilitation service. We can approach them as a team that be constituted with physical therapist speech therapist, psychologist, nurse, social work. Also the role of physical therapist is divided into two parts, which are home visiting part that individually takes can of patients nod public health part that takes care of patient, family, home, community. We connect with both self-governing body and the government so that we may receive government subsidies. Also, we must prepare regular school education for community based rehabilitation
The objective of this study is to review the role and function of the village health worker in the wake of the recent social changes in Korea. The stud}' also aimed at' elucidating' the characteristics of the village health worker organizations developed through community participation in this country. The study methods employed were: a review of literature and other existing information related to VHW's activities ; the use of Questionnaire and interview with VHW's on their activities in one selected county in 1992. The major findings obtained are as follows: 1. So far the community health care activities have been carried out by medical colleges, foreign aid agencies and religious organizations with a view to improving health care for the population in rural area. 2. The VHWs employed by the local community health services received remuneratiorin cash or in kind. However, presently no remuneration is paid to VHWs employed by the government village health projects. The training for VHWs is organized by County Health Center once a year for 1-2days regardless of pre-employment or refresher. 3. The needs of care for maternal and child health and family planning has been decline due to the decrease of the target population, but on the other hand, the needs of care by VHW for prevention of infectious diseases, health of the aging, management of geriatric diseases, prevention of poisoning of pesticides and environmental sanitation has beer increased. 4. It was felt strongly that the training for VHWs should be strengthened by means of developing a problem-solving oriented educational program in order to improve practical skills of VHWs.

This study aims to propose the future plan and research management of a beach and the relation between spatial structure of a village and layout of the beach focusing on Gimnyeong beach among the 12 general beaches in Jejudo. The results are as followings: First, Gimnyeong beach had the relation to primary industries of residents in the village in times past and was the space for everyday lives of residents. However, at present it has the relation to tertiary industries and is more important in community activities. Second, the entry part and the sandy beach of Gimnyeong beach were crucial in location and function in times past but total size of the beach has expanded for campground nowadays. Therefore, it is necessary to change the location of entry part to center part of the beach. In addition, convenient and safe facilities are need to be built more to corresponding to expanding area of the beach. Finally, in order to maintain clean sea, residents in the Gimnyeong have agreed to not make sea farms in the vicinity of Gimnyeong Beach which pollute the sea. Their roles have influenced on positive effect to community of the village, management of the beach, and maintenance of clean sea.

The purpose of this study is to introduce 'Bogoganeun Maeul Movement' which was drived by Jellabuk-do province at 1962. and to ascertain historical meaning of its among history of Korea rural development and to investigate the relationships among 'Sinsanghwal movement', 'Community development program', 'Jaegungukmin movement'. It was found that 4,031 Maeul was designated a Bogaganeun Maeul at 1962. and leader of its village got an appointment as 'light of rural' by province administration. This study was found that the historical meaning that even if it was in theoretically and administrative frame. Bogaganeun Maeul was a self-regulating first community development program that was drived by Jeollabuk-do and starting point of model of 'Mobum Burak'. Besides Bogaganeun Maeul was tourism village for an inspection and learning by observation. and first article that 'Sightseeing village' word appeared initially in the newspaper.
In this study, we try to quantify resident's conflict by rural development project based on previous researches about community capacities required for residents and social networks in rural village for suggesting efficient project model. we analyzed conflict elements in six category such as 'conflict in residents', 'conflict in residents and leaders', 'conflict in leaders', 'conflict in villages', 'conflict in development fund', 'conflict in village by common income project'. These results also analyzed by personal background(age, role, education, income) of respondent in questionary survey. Results show that 'conflict in residents and leaders', 'conflict in leaders', 'conflict in development fund' are perceived differently by age, role, education, and income in 5% significance level. Especially, relatively young age(below 40 years old) expressed clearly about conflict and high scored in item of 'residents and leaders'. Regression model show statistical significance(F=39.807, P=0.000) in influence relation analysis of conflict, network, leadership, and project fund. In this model, network ${\beta}=-0.237$, leadership ${\beta}=-0.375$, project fund ${\beta}=-0.000$ show network and leadership have negative relation to conflict but project fund is difficult to find relation with conflict. In this study, we defined social vulnerability using conflict, network, and leadership and verified the vulnerability of rural village applying regional community capacity in analysis results; vulnerability increased by the size of region and show inverse correlation to future vision of residents.
Recently, two main changes were observed in relation to activities of District Health Centers. One is the rapid increase in the quantity and variety of people's demands for health services due to improvement of income level and the other is an introduction of autonomy in local administration. Unitl recently, the District Health Services were mostly depended on the instructions and orders given by Central Governments, and it would be necessary to prepare for the future implementation of autonomous local administration. Especially, the urban health centers may need more attention than those in rural areas because of their complexity and it would be more difficult in choosing and implementing a most suitable health programs for urban communities. This study was made to find out a feasibl developmental model which could be applicable for the urban bealth centers in Kyeongnam- do area. The most studies relating to health centers activities in the past were made by saking questions to current health center workers, but this study has made an effort to find out the opinions of those who are representing the people in the community. For this study, therefore, the Members of Gity Parliament and Village Headmen from 10 cities is Kyeongnam- do were interviewed for the study and the results obtained were compared to those of health officers. It was found that both Parliament Members and Village Headmen were well aware of the need of health centers, however, they tend to put lower priority for health services in compare with other community activities, and pointed out poor quality of services and lack of public understanding as the problems to be overcome. As to the desirable body for policy decision and implementation of health programs, the Members of Local Parliament think the Local Parliament as ideal, where as Village Headmen prefer health experts, and health officenr prefer District Health Center respectively. The most urgent problems of the District health Centers are mentioned as lack of health manpower. As the results of his study, the followings are suggested for improvement of District Health Services; First : reinforcement of professional health workers, Second : establishment of Community Health Council, Third : strengthening of public health education and support, Fourth : flexibility in Local Autonomy and target system relating to health activities.
This study explores the background and the processes underpinning the educational reform movement based on local community. This educational community initiated the alternative education reform movement, which is referred to as the small school movement. A qualitative case study was implemented by collecting data from thirty articles, three focused interviews. This study drew out three key factors as the operation of educational community in regional area. First, it claimed a total of 30 papers related to the educational community for content analysis. Second, key words were derived in the local educational community context. They developed their own alternative educational programs, such as self-supportive meeting, season carnivals, community revitalization activities, and so on. Their focus was on finding out and establishing better educational relationships among the concerned communities. Third, the community continues to reinforce the internal rules and climate through meta-education, a process, in which education educates itself. As a result, they could enjoy substantial success in a visible educational community. This small school revival movement later grew into the new school movement. Furthermore, a variety of teachers, parents groups, and interested scholars have been engaged in the community movement through professional networking. This study suggests that the key innovator-initiated movement, which involves education reform, upgraded Korean education, and improved their own expertise and autonomy, is expected to be the first step to solve the current Korean educational problems by the educational community.

For the first time basic settlement area development plan was established in 2010, in order to promote cooperative coexisting development among regions, as time that regional competitiveness determines national competitiveness started. Basic settlement area development plan is composed of 7 sectors and 24 general subsidy projects. It was judged that experience and tourism business as the center is required to be analyzed, which may have effect on activation of farm village, fishing village and mountain village, and inflow of city people, in agriculture, forestry and fishery sector in order that added value of agriculture and fishery is increased, and tangible and intangible resources are applied, and pure agriculture, forestry and fishery is developed. And currently farm village, mountain village and fishing village of our country faces desperate crisis situation that they cannot help groping for substitutive to create new revenue model, and agriculture and fishery of primary industry has limit of increasing income of farmer and fisherman. Agriculture, forestry and fishery experience and tourism business was classified by types, and then standard of 12 categories and 48 sections was prepared, for searching method to supplement and develop it. Trend of experience and tourism business was understood, and problem was found, and then it may be used as indicator material to carry out creative and differentiated business plan establishment and business operation, and may be opportunity to reject overlapped business among regions, and to promote balanced regional development.
Due to Korean government's reduction policy of the level of local administration, the government tries to become smaller and more efficient organization and in accordance with this movement, they try to transfer the human power and work of the office of Eup, Myeon, Dong to the office of Si, Goon, Goo so that they can take administrative action quickly, increase the efficiency of administration by preventing the overlapping of administrative task, improve the administrative service toward the citizens and make a functional shift of Inhabitant Self-Government Center in a way that is aimed at improving the quality of life of the inhabitants by setting up cultural, welfare facilities and forming the local community. Hereupon I expect this study will help to show the ways of composing the space of community center, accommodating the various demands of inhabitants through appropriate area calculation of functional area, increasing the efficiency of government officers' administrative support and also will be the guide for the architectural designs of the community centers. For this purpose, I have investigated community centers of 8 Dongs out of 11 Dongs in Goon-po Si that was chosen to be operating the pilot program of the office of Eup, Myeon, Dong's functional shift and obtained excellent results. I have surveyed how the functional spaces are being used, interviewed the government officials, examined the size of the functional and required space with Building card of a plan and the analyzed results are as follows.
