In advanced countries, a gas turbine engine is developed to use in aircraft, vessels, and target weapons. Our nation also passed the level of producing engine components and now, we are developing small-sized gas turbine engine. The most important point of the gas turbine engine, the engine control technique, is evaded by the advanced nations. This document contains the research about the development of the gas turbine engine simulator. The simulator presented in this document has a mathematical engine model based on a capacity data of the gas turbine engine to advance the engine simulator. Through this process, it eases the development of the gas turbine engine control algorithm and helps to check the engine controller function. In this simulator, the engine sensor signal conversion board is designed, so the engine model shows like a real sensor signal during the simulation. Also, this paper contrasts the actual engine test with the simulation results to verify the performance.

Among the rivers in Korea, the Han River is the largest, most important one, which runs through the Seoul metropolitan region in the west toward the yellow sea. In the Han River basin there live as many as 17.1 mil. people including appr, 11 mil, citizens in Seoul. The Seoul Metropolitan region, already containing appr. 40% of the nation's total populating, expectedly poses an ever-growing polluting burden to the Han River. Due to Korea's vigorous industrialization and heavy urbanization in the past quarter century, water pollution was observed to be increasing in the Han River until the mid-1980's, but thereafter the Han River began to improve little by little by virtue of the government's massive investment and all-out efforts in water preservation. Public awareness on the importance of environmental protection is increasing unprecedentedly. With a view to meeting people's growing demand for clean water and pleasant environment, the government established the "Comprehensive Mid-Term Environmental Conservation Plan" (1992∼1993) in 1991. According to the plan, 1,315 bil.won(1.7 bil.us$ ) is to be poured into the Han River Basin to install 113 water pollutant abatement plants including 43 treatment facilities. To successfully cope with the future's challenging need for the environmentally sound sustainable development, a variety of measures and an array of policies are going to be incorporated with emphasis on, -redistributing such polluting sources as population and industries -tightening control of the water pollutant discharge -restricting the pollution-accompanying land use -enhancing the assimilation capacity of the river -stirring up the public awareness and participation in the environment protection We hopefully anticipate that with those e(forts the Han River will improve as drawn in the attached "1996's Envisioned Han River Quality".

This study has been done by giving the guide when development of menu or doing marketing strategy in Hotel Restaurant. All products and service has a regular course from induction in market to disappear, so it shall be come out Products Life Cycle theory. In eating business, under the tendency and existing cycle to change menu by taste of customers, liking variation, change of periodic status (environment), MLC(Menu Life Cycle) shall be advised by application PLC(Products Life Cycle) in the process of induction of some menu first and spreading the same business field and then deletion (disappearance) from menu because of no popular. In Emergence Stage, it shall be tried to inform new menu through Cooking Contest, presentation of new menu, free sampling party and others. In Growth Stage, it shall be changed package menu or set menu. In Maturity Stage, it shall be provided complimentary ticket, gift coupon or discount for the customers with some degree of selling record in order to increase using frequency and selling amount after insure new customers. In Decline Stage, it shall be groped for entry underdeveloped country or less advance nation, but there is no possibility to devote in enterprise, it shall be planned substitute menu development in order to withdraw. By inducting MLC concept, it shall be provided the available informations such as“how could some menu be circulate in some restaurant”“Accordingly do strengthen promotion activities or go to low developed area or overseas, or delete it from menuitems and so on”. In the time of decline some menu, it is judged to the time of plan(preparation) of new menu development. In the broad view, when consideration of the concept of menu life cycle, it shall be possible to know which menu is decayed and which menu is developed newly or grown-up, so it shall be provided the important information to estimate the tendency of changing menu and set-up a menu development plan.

KEPCO(Korean Electric Power Corporation) is now operating an incorporated system for designing and maintenance of electric power facilities called NDIS (New Distribution Information System). Given the structure of the nation which exclusively permits establishment of new electric facilities and maintenance, expertise (skilled knowledge) about the related system on the part of electric engineers is very important. But in the view of education and training, it is a reality that current offline ways of education based on application for educational courses at the KEPCO Academy, an education organization under KEPCO, are unsatisfactory in efficiency and availability to related engineers. Therefore, We realize that a simulation design education system which guarantees an easy access is required to make the best of the existing system NDIS. For this purpose the present work is a study on the development of a simulation education system to make local based NDIS real on the web, which enables related engineers to practice designing and get feedback of the result.

Yak-yong Jung discussed technology for the first time in Korea, 195 years ago, in his [Ki-ye-lon](the Theory of Techne: 1802) in which he investigated the essence and the developmental aspect of technology and the ways to promote technology. As a man of the 19th century when the West was being transformed into an industrial society by the Industrial Revolution, Jung suggested various ways to reform his nation an agricultural society. Although they were not accepted by the Dynasty, consideration of the social and economic situation and the world history at that time shows that they were very innovative. This study aims at defining Jung's view of technology, centering around [Ki-ye-lon](the Theory of Techne), and discusses what the technological education should emphasize in the future, that is to say: mathematical and scientific principles, the utility of technology, its developmental aspect, technological policy.

The purpose of the present study is to find out some implications from comparing mathematical education of Israel and Singapore. This study examined what values are represented in schooling of both Israel and Singapore and what factors are influencing mathematics teacher education of both countries. Education in Israel and Singapore plays a significant role for the survival of the nation and economic success, and the education system is focused on elitism, especially in terms that they have selective system of students and restrictive exams from the elementary school level. The educational system in both countries provides students with little opportunities for social mobility, because students from the low SES families are not equally exposed to educational facilities and experiences. The results of this study imply that the critical factor affecting students achievement in Israel and Singapore seems to be the quality of teacher education system and the quality of teachers. In particular, it seems that we need to be very careful of uncritically adopting mathematical ideas from both Israel and Singapore, because they both have very different contexts of educational goals, educational policies, racial and cultural factors from Korea.

Pending issues present in the Nation Technical Qualifications System (NTQS) have been discussed to deal with the causes and improvements of the issues. The key present situations of the NTQS were investigated to analyze the problems of the NTQS. The acquisition distribution of the items of additional points in employment and the items applied to the laws and regulations of duty employment was revealed to be related with preferential items. The AHP analysis has been conducted based on issues for improvement of the NTQS raised till now. The urgency priority of the elements to be improved was ranked according to the AHP analysis result. The agendas for the improvement of the NTQS was suggested by consideration of the priority of the elements. First, a solution to raise discrimination of the NTQS was suggested by taking the view points of the experts into account. Second, an opinion was proposed that the preferential policies in employment should be directed toward expansion of qualification for duty employment. Third, two ideas were proposed to rectify problems embedded in the technician career handbook system. And four remedies have been made suggested, including the merger of similar events. The results of this research are expected to serve as a useful material for the future design of the NTQS.

This paper analyzes the drought and restriction on water supply in Taebaek City during the winter season in 2008 using Actor-Network Theory. Actor-Network Theory emphasizes and brings into view the role and act of non-human actors as well as human actors in various environmental issues. The fact that only Taebaek experienced restriction on water supply for 88 days although the winter season drought in 2008 affected the whole nation, requires a synthetic analysis of both human and non-human actors and their relationships and networks embedded in Taebaek City at that time. This paper shows that both human and non-human actors including Taebaek City Hall, Korea Water Resource Corporation, Taebaek citizen, the water supply facilities, Gwangdongdam, obsolete water pipes, the topography of Taebaek, soil, the change of industry, and population interact one another transforming the geography of water in Taebaek. This study helps to understand the complex processes related to drought disasters at a specific local scale and to provide appropriate measures to drought.

Nowadays, the international economic environment has been improved by the World Trade Organization based on UR trade negotiation. In such state, the international commerce cooperation, which means trade liberalization through relaxation or abolition of customs and noncustoms harrier, is necessary a country's policy for overseas strategy. To the view point of international commerce order, there co-exist the globalism represntatived by GATT/WTO and the regionalism operated by European Community including 15 countries, or North American Zone with canada, Maxico. The former expands the trade liberalization through the most favoured nation treatment of WTO among whole world nations and the latter takes the differential trade policy to other countries. For extreme dependence on foreign natural resources and raw materials, Our country should strengthen it' comming prospect for the world economy. To put it more concrete, We must enforce in advance the legal basis of convention and norm which in adopted by WTO. Also we are desirable to cooperate with Asia and pacific economy area or APEC. Finally, under the direction of international commerce environment and world economy, we must take the commerce cooperation in global order considering the tendency of regionalism and bloc economy.

Recently, many nation have released standard such as IEC 61000-3-2 and IEEE 59, which impose a limit on the harmonic current drawn by equipment connected to AC line in order to prevent the distortion of an AC Line. Therefore, Plasma Display Panel(PDP) which is highlightened in digital display device also has the Power Factor Correction(PFC) circuit to meet the harmonic requirements. In PDP power module, the conventional boost converter is usually used for the PFC circuit. However, it comes serious thermal problem on it's bridge diode due to heat of PDP, and therefore the system stability is not guaranteed. In this paper, the bridgeless boost converter, which is used for PFC circuit of the PDP power module, is designed and verified the possibility of the application In a practical product in a view of efficiency, component count, temperature and etc.
