본 논문은 시청자가 TV를 시청하다가 마음에 드는 화면이 있으면, 이를 캡춰해서 친구들에게 메시지로 보내는 서비스를 구현하는 방법을 기술한다. 이를 위해서는 셋톱박스에서 실행되는 Xlet 애플리케이션에서 비디오 스트림의 특정화면을 캡춰할 수 있어야 하는데, 현재 미들웨어는 이런 기능을 제공하고 있지 않다. 따라서, 본 논문에서는 Xlet application 에서 시청자가 지정한 화면의 시점값을 방송국 서버로 전송하고, 서버에서 해당 화면을 캡춰하여 이를 시청자가 원하는 수신자에게 보내주는 방법을 사용한다. 미들웨어 API 표준에서 현재의 NPT (Normal Play Time) 을 알려주는 API 를 제공하므로, 애플리케이션에서 시청자가 원하는 시점의 NPT 를 구해 이를 방송국 서버로 보내고, 서버에서는 이 NPT 에 해당되는 동영상의 미디어 타임을 구해, 그 시간에 해당되는 프레임을 계산하여 화면을 캡춰한다. 본 기술을 활용하면 서버에서 캡춰된 화면을 Mobile, Web 등의 매체에도 전송할 수 있으므로 유무선통합, 방통융합형 서비스로 확장해 나갈 수 있다.

방송 콘텐츠 제작에는 카메라, VCR, NLE, 인코더 등의 장비가 사용되고 있으며, VCR 헤더 불량, 테이프 노후화/보관불량, NLE 편집 오류, 인코더 장비 불량 등의 다양한 이유로 콘텐츠에 예기치 않은 비디오 및 오디오 오류가 발생할 수 있다. 이러한 문제점을 해결하기 위하여 콘텐츠에 포함된 다양한 비디오 및 오디오 오류를 자동으로 검사할 수 있는 자동 검사 시스템이 요구된다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 다양한 오류를 자동으로 검사할 수 있는 방법 중 특히 비디오 내에 종종 포함되는 블록 오류를 대상으로 하는 고속 오류 검출 방법을 설명한다. 제안한 방법은 비디오 내의 매 프레임의 코너 수를 계산하고, 시간 증가에 따른 코너 수의 변화량을 검사하여 블록 오류가 포함될 것으로 예상되는 후보 프레임을 찾는 1단계 과정과, 후보 프레임을 대상으로 Adaboost 인식 기술을 사용하여 학습한 분류기를 통해 최종 블록 오류가 포함된 프레임을 검출하는 2단계 과정으로 구성된다. 시스템 구현 실험 결과, 비디오 내에 포함된 블록 오류를 프레임 단위로 정확하게 고속 검출 하는 것이 가능함을 확인하였다. SD급의 경우 실시간 대비 2.3배속 가량의 고속 검사가 가능하고 HD의 경우에도 0.8배속 수준의 고속 검사가 가능하였다.

본 논문에서는 입체 영상 재현을 위한 한쌍의 이미지 스트림 데이터를 MPES-4 표준을 기반으로 효율적으로 인코딩하는 방식을 제안하고, 이에 대한 인코더를 분석, 설계하였다. 최근 하이비전 보다 더욱 인간의 감성에 호소하는 영상 시스템으로서 3차원 입체 영상에 대한 기대가 고조되고 있고, 영상 정보의 현실감 부여와 정보 전달의 리얼리티에 관한 많은 정보론 요구하고 있다. 또한 현대의 정보 통신 분야는 방송, 통신 및 컴퓨터가 통합되고, 무선과 유선이 융합되는 새의운 정보 통신 기술로 진화하고 있다. 이러한 변화의 영향으로 영상 서비스에 대한 기술 개발 경향도 영상 정보의 효율적인 전달 및 저장이라는 기존의 동영상 압축 표준이 갖는 기능뿐만 아니라, 보다 더 향상된 기능을 제공하는 방향으로 나아가고 있다. 기존 입체 영상 인코딩 방식은 상관 관계가(Correlation) 높은 각각의 입체 영상을 독립적으로 인코딩하는 반면, 본 논문에서는 한 인코더에서 동시에 인코딩하는 방식을 제안하였으며, 이 방식은 저장 공간과 이미지 스트림 전송에 효율적일 것이나 MPEG-4는 현재 각광받고 있는 인터넷 등의 멀티미디어 서비스에 있어서 효율적이고 필수적인 핵심기술로 본 논문의 기반이 되었다. 본 논문에서 제안하는 방식은 MPEG-4를 이용한 입체 영상 관련 응용에 적용될 수 있다.

In this paper, the dielectric properties is made researches by the dose of electron beam in order to investigate the electrical properties for transformer oils due to electron beam irradiation. To measure the dielectric loss of irradiated specimen, the liquid electrode of coaxial cylindrical shape is used, and its geometric capacitance is 16 [pF]. And the dielectric dissipation factor, $tan{\delta}$, is measured by using the Video Bridge 2150. The thermal static oven with an automatic temperature controller is used so as to apply specific temperature to specimen. This experiments for measuring the dielectric loss is performed at $20{\sim}120[^{\circ}C]$ in temperature range, $30{\sim}1.5{\times}10^5[Hz]$ in frequency and $300{\sim}500[mV]$ in voltage.

인후부, 하인두부 및 경부 등에 종양감각(lump sensation)등의 이상감각을 호소하는 globus 증후군은 Hippocrates가 처음 기술한 이래 많은 저자들에 의해 여러 가지 다양한 원인들이 기술되어 왔지만 아직 뚜렷한 병인이 밝혀지지 않은 상태로 기질적 원인에 대한 다각적인 연구가 진행중이다. 이에 저자들은 1986년 7월부터 1987년 2월까지 연세대학교 의과대학 이비인후과학 교실을 방문한 85명의 globus 증후 환자를 대상으로 전향적 연구를 시행 다음과 같은 결과를 얻었다. 1) 주증상은 무언가 걸린듯한 느낌이 가장 많았고(40.8%), 기타 점액객출 및 종양감각이 있었으며, 증상부위는 하인두부(26.8%) 및 윤상연골부(28.0%)가 많았고. 증상 유발인자로는 피로 및 신경과민증이 동반된 기질적 병변으로는 비후성 설편도염 및 인두염이 가장 많았다. 2) 비데오-식도조영술 검사상 27명(31.8%)에서 윤상인두근 이상수축이 있었으며 기타 식도복(3명), 식도점막이상(1명)등이 있었고 윤상인두근 이상수축이 있었던 환자군과 없었던 환자군 사이에 주증상, 증상부위, 동반증상, 기질적 병변 및 치료경과에는 차이가 없었으며 50% 이상의 수축을 보인 3명의 환자에서 내시경 검사상 이상소견은 관찰되지 않았다. 3) 치료는 특별한 기질적 병변이 없는 한 자세한 설명을 통한 치유의 확신감을 주고 필요에 따라 진정제, 제산제 및 cimetidine을 투여한 결과 65.3%에서 증상의 완전소실 및 현저한 호전이 있었고, 24.5%에서는 어느 전도의 호전이 있었으며, 10.2%에서는 증상의 호전이 없었다.

The flow and thermal performance of the skiving and louver fin type heat sinks for the cooling system of the small LED projector were experimentally evaluated. A small fan tester based on AMCA standards was used to control and measure the air flow rate into the heat sink. Three heat blocks were used to simulate the heat and light sources(red, green and blue) of the small LED projector. We measured the pressure drop, temperatures and input power at the specific air flow rate and discussed those results. As a result, it is found that the louver fin type heat sink has higher pressure drop and lower thermal resistance than the skiving type. From the comparison of the temperature of the heat block between skiving and louver fin type, the louver fin type heat sink was found to be more suitable for cooling the high power heat source than skiving type. The thermal performance of the fan-sink(louver fin type) system was discussed with the picture taken by a thermal video.

Service areas in the urban transit need to construct the intelligent integrated surveillance system, because they are the public places that many people get together at one time. In past, analogue, closed-circuit televisions and analogue video recorders are used to construct the surveillance system. Now, a lot parts of the analogue systems that depend on the images have been changed to the complicated system, which consists of sensors and images and also, to be digitalized. In past, the surveillance system was used as an inspection devices to examine the spots after happening some events. But, with a high level of the computer and communication technologies, it is possible that the digitalized data leads the intelligence systems to prevent some accidents by using the various analysis techniques. And the data could be used to decide surveillance policies and provide some information on the safety and management policies as well as surveillance policies. In this paper, we define the intelligent surveillance system and suggest the major functions of the system. Also, we suggest the fundamental functions that every part should get and describe the way to develop the system.

The rapidly developing World Wide Web technology provides new opportunities for distance education over the internet. Several successful experiments about cyber educationor distance leanning have been reported. The Web when combined with other network tools can be used to create a virtual classroom to bring together a community of learners for interactive education. Requrements for standard tools for distance. Iearning, such as an electionic mail, a multiparheipant bcard newsgroup service and video conference tools have been investigated and implemented based on the object modeling technique useing java programming language. The object onented programming helps the developed codes maintain learning with allowed interactions either between instroctors and students or between students.

사용자가 시간과 장소에 구애 받지 않고 컴퓨터를 자연스럽고 효율성 있게 사용할 수 있는 환경을 의미하는 유비쿼터스 컴퓨팅은 네트워크와 센서(Sensor), smart devices, 무선 통신과 smart middleware(UPnP(Universal Plug and Play), Jini, HAVi(Home Audio Video Interoperability) IEEE 1394, PLC (Power Line Communication) 등) 등을 기반으로 Smart Space를 만들 수 있다. 그러나 여러 종류의 가전제품들이 늘어나고 수많은 사용자들의 요구를 충족시키기엔 smart middleware의 단일 제어로는 처리가 불가능하여 본 논문에서는 이기종간의 미들웨어간의 상호작용을 위해 개발된 OSGi(Open Service Gateway Initiative) Spec. 3에서 제공하는 서비스 플랫폼(Service Platform)을 기반으로 사용자/디바이스 관리 및 분산 시스템 등의 취약점들을 보완하여 Smart Space상에서 효율적인 서비스 번들을 관리하기 위해 MASBM(Multi-Agent Service Bundle Manager)을 제안하였다.

Although air, water, and noise pollutions have been widely recognized, electromagnetic forces(EMF) hazard has been rarely recognized as a pollution and very little studies has been done in this country. Thus, in this study electromagnetic forces radiated by various home appliances, once machines, and communication equipments were measured and so were several places radiating strong EMF such as subway stations and electric substations. Among the home appliances microwave oven senates lots of magnetic field and microwaves, and electric mattress does strong magnetic field. In video game room strong magnetic and considerable electric fields were measured. It was observed strong magnetic field inside of electric powered train and very strong magnetic and electric fields on some platforms. Hand-phone and car-phone radiate very hazardous level of microwaves to brain and that they rapidly come into wide use. In this study data base for various electric machines and places radiating strong EMFs were constructed and could be used for future epidemiological studies.
