A system realization for video surveillance with interframe probability distribution analysis is presented in this paper. The system design is based on a high performance DSP processor, video surveillance is implemented by analyzing interframe probability distribution for scanning objects in a restricted area and the video analysis algorithm is decided for forming a different image from the probability distribution of several frames compressed by the standardized JPEG. The algorithm processing time of D1($720{\times}480$) image per frame is 85ms.

This paper proposes a Video Browsing Service that provides both the video content retrieval and the video browsing by the real-time user interface on Web. For the scene segmentation and key frame extraction of video sequence, we proposes an efficient scene change detection method that combine the RGB color histogram with the ${\chi}2$ histogram.

Even though digital video coding techniques have been developed very rapidly, rate controlling is still an unsolved problem. This paper presents a new scene adaptive video encoding scheme for MPEG-1 and MPEG-2 video encoders. Degradation of picture quality at scene changes due to poor prediction of global complexity measure is addressed. The proposed scheme determines the picture types adaptively based on scene contents of each video frame. The effective placement of reference and inter-reference frames is studied at sudden scene changes and gradual scene changes respectively. Results show that the proposed scheme demonstrates a significant improvement in performance compared to TM5〔1〕.

본 논문에서는 암호화된 Scalable Video Coding (SVC) 비트스트림에서의 조건적 접근제어을 위한 키 관리 기법을 제안한다. 스케일러블 비디오 코딩 기술은 한번 인코딩 후 비트스트림 추출을 통해 다양한 확장성(scalabbility)을 가지는 비디오를 생성 할 수 있는 기술로 확장하는 단위마다 다른 키로 암호화 하여 조건적 접근제어를 구성 할 수 있다. 그러나 기존의 조건적 접근제어 기술은 암호화 시 복수의 키가 필요하며 이는 키의 관리와 분배에 어려움을 준다. 이러한 문제를 해결하기 위해 본 논문에서는 기존의 스케일러블 코딩기법에서 조건적 접근제어를 위한 키 관리기법을 살펴보고 SVC 의 확장 구조에 맞는 키 관리 기법을 제안한다. 제안한 방법은 SVC 를 이용한 스트리밍 테스트베드에서 구현되어, 조건적 접근제어를 위한 키 관리기능의 유용성을 확인하였다.

Many playback methods of MPEG-1 video were developed and are have beendeveloped now. But nomal playback method demands great time. In this paper we designed and implemented the scene transition playback method of the MPEG-1 video data. The previous studies of scene transition playback have used to the DC or edge information after decoding process of picture. In this paper, scene transition is detected by macroblock information from MPEG-1 compressed area, then decodes and playbacks the only scene transition picture. This MPEG-1 video player was implemented by decoding control. So it is possible to add special playback method to MPEG-1 video player. As the result, which is proposed in this paper the scene transition method can minimize to decoding calculation and decrease to playback time of the MPEG-1 video data.

본 논문에서는 동영상의 조작 시 발생하는 High Efficiency Video Codec (HEVC) 부호화 패턴의 변화를 감지하여 동영상의 조작 여부를 검출하는 기법에 대하여 소개한다. 동영상의 일부가 삭제되고 재 압축될 경우, 삭제 이후 여러가지 부호화 정보의 패턴 변화가 발생하게 됨을 특징정보로 하여 기계학습 기반의 분류 알고리즘을 이용해 조작유무를 검출한다. 실험 결과, 제안한 방식이 동영상 조작 검출을 효과적으로 수행하는 것을 확인하였다.

Recently, the generation of panoramic images and high quality mosaic images from video sequences has been attempted by a variety of investigations. Among a matter of investigation, in this paper, left and right stereo mosaic image generation utilizing airborne-video sequence images is focused upon. The stereo mosaic image is generated by creating left and right mosaic image which is generated by front and rear slit having different viewing angle in consecutive video frame images. The generation of stereo mosaic image proposed in this paper consists of several processes: camera parameter estimation for each video frame image, rectification, slicing, motion parallax elimination and image mosaicking. However it is necessary to check the feasibility on generating stereo mosaic image as explained processes. Therefore, in this paper, we performed the feasibility test on generating stereo mosaic image using video frame images. In doing so, anaglyphic image for stereo mosaic images is generated and tested for feasibility check.

뉴스 비디오의 효과적인 검색을 위해서는 비디오데이터로부터 의미 있는 정보들을 추출할 수 있는 비디오 처리 및 편집기술의 개발이 요구된다. 이를 위하여 정보 선진국들을 중심으로 비디오 편집 기술이 오래 전부터 연구되어 왔으며, 최근에는 실생활의 완벽한 실용화를 위하여 연구에 중점을 두고 있는 실정이다. 본 논문은 비디오 데이터의 종류에 따라 사용자가 임의의 알고리즘을 선택하여 장면전환 검출의 정확성과 효율성을 높일 수 있으며, 시스템의 자동/수동분류에 의한 장면전환검출과 편집 시스템을 통하여 사용자의 요구에 따라 비디오 데이터로부터 의미 있는 정보들을 추출하고 편집할 수 있는 시스템을 제안한다.

ONVIF is becoming a de factor standard specification for supporting interoperability among network video products, which also supports a specification for video analytics service. A smart IP network camera is an IP network supporting video analytics. In this paper, we present our efforts in integrating ONVIF Video Analytics Service into our currently developing smart IP network camera(SS IPNC; Soongsil Smart IP Network Camera). SSIPNC supports object detection, tracking, classification, and event detection with proprietary configuration protocol and meta data formats. SSIPNC is based on TI' IPNC ONVIF implementation which supports ONVI Core specification, and several ONVIF services such as device service, imaging service and media service, but not video analytics service.

In this paper, we have studied a communication protocol which may provide Audio/Video data transmission in real time. Auido/Video data have its own characteristics. A new transport protocol with realtime constraint has been designed and implemented which performs dynamic error control and flow control depending on the characteristics of transmitted Audio/Video data. Since the receiving data can be predicted from the previously received data using the prediction function in Auido/Video data transmission, these functions are introduced in our transport protocol that may possibly improve the speed of data transmission and give a real time response. We have tested our transport protocol and measured the performance by the simulation. We assume that our transport protocol would be used in LAN environment. Our prime purpose is to provide a reliable and real time Auido/Video data transmission service.
