Embedding information into video data is a topic that recently gained increasing attention. This paper proposes a new approach for digital watermarking and secure copyright protection of video, the principal aim being to discourage illicit copying and distribution of copyrighted material. The method presented here is based on the three dimensional discrete cosine transform of video scene, in contrast with previous works on video watermarking where each video frame was marked separately, or where only intra-frame or motion compensation parameters were marked in MPEG compressed videos. The watermark sequence used is encrypted, pseudo-noise signal to the video. The performance of the presented technique is evaluated experimentally

The ever-increasing demand for H.264 scalable video coding (H.264/SVC) distribution motivates researchers to devise ways to enhance the quality of video delivered on the Internet. Furthermore, researchers and practitioners in general depend on computer simulators to analyze or evaluate their designed network architecture or proposed protocols. Therefore, a complete toolset, which is called myEvalSVC, for evaluating the delivered quality of H.264/SVC transmissions in a simulated environment is proposed to help the network and video coding research communities. The toolset is based on the H.264 Scalable Video coding streaming Evaluation Framework (SVEF) and extended to connect to the NS2 simulator. With this combination, people who work on video coding can simulate the effects of a more realistic network on video sequences resulting from their coding schemes, while people who work on network technology can evaluate the impact of real video streams on the proposed network architecture or protocols. To demonstrate the usefulness of the proposed new toolset, examples of H.264/SVC transmissions over 802.11 and 802.11e are provided.
In video compression, Motion Estimation(ME) limits the performance of image quality and generated bit rates. However, it requires much complexity in the encoder part. Multi-view video uses many cameras at different positions. Multi-view video coding needs huge computational complexity in proportion to the number of the cameras. To reduce computational complexity and maintain the image quality, an effective motion estimation method is proposed in this paper. The proposed method exploiting the characteristics of motion vector distribution and the motion of video. The proposed is a kind of a hierarchical search strategy. This strategy consists of multi-grid rhombus pattern, diagonal pattern, rectangle pattern, and refinement pattern. Experiment results show that the complexity reduction of the proposed method over TZ search method and PBS (Pel Block Search) on JMVC (Joint Multiview Video Coding) can be up to 40~75% and 98% respectively while maintaining similar video image quality and generated bit rates.
The proxy mechanism widely used in WWW systems offers low-delay data delivery by means of "proxy server". By applying the proxy mechanisms to the video streaming system, we expect that high-quality and low-delay video distribution can be accomplished without introducing extra load on the system. In addition, it is effective to adapt the quality of cached video data appropriately in the proxy if user requests are diverse due to heterogeneity in terms of the available bandwidth, end-system performance, and user′s preferences on the perceived video quality. We have proposed proxy caching mechanisms to accomplish the high-quality and highly-interactive video streaming services. In our proposed system, a video stream is divided into blocks for efficient use of the cache buffer. The proxy server is assumed to be able to adjust the quality of a cached or retrieved video block to the request through video filters. In this paper, to verify the practicality of our mechanisms, we implemented them on a real system and conducted experiments. Through evaluations from several performance aspects, it was shown that our proposed mechanisms can provide users with a low-latency and high-quality video streaming service in a heterogeneous environment.
Recently, epidemic of covid-19 causes rapid increase in demand for untact video conferences. In existing server-client based video conference systems such as Zoom, Google Meet, etc., the server generates the conference key and controls the access rights of meeting members and their contents with it. In this case, the server can fabricate or repudiate the meeting. So, the privacy of the meeting members is not guaranteed. It's necessary to make the conference key distribution scheme where all participants can verify the trustfulness without help of the server. The smart contract is the program stored to the blockchain. Its contents cannot be altered due to the property of the blockchain, and everybody can verify the execution results of it. In this study, we propose the smart contract based conference key distribution scheme. The proposed scheme is consisted of smart contract deployment, conference key generation and verification stages. The smart contract replaces the role of existing trustful server and the meeting members can generate the conference key according to the protocols implemented on it. The proposed scheme can be applied to the video conference systems and only the meeting members can access the conference key.
Variable length coding (VLC) has been used in many well known standard video coding algorithms such as MPEG and H.26x. However, VLC can not be processed parallelly because of its sequentiality. This sequentiality is a big barrier for implementing a real-time software video codec since parallel schemes can not be applied. In this paper, we propose a new fast VLD (Variable Length Decoding) method based on the probabilistic distribution of symbols in VLC tables used in MPEG as well as H.263 standard codecs. Even though MPEG suggests the table partitioning method, they do not show theoretically why the number of partitioned tables is two or three. We suggest the method for deciding the number of partitioned tables. Applying our scheme to several well-known MPEG-2 test sequences, we can reduce the computational time up to about 10% without any sacrificing video quality

This study proposed a logistics plan for sending supply to be distributed to areas other than producing areas to wholesalers and allocating supply to be distributed to areas near producing areas to local distribution center in the vicinity instead of shipping the entire quantity to wholesalers for fruits auction to increase the competitive edge of the domestic fruits and vegetables logistics market in the ear of infinite competition. A video auction-based short distance division logistics operation model was developed to enhance competitiveness related to the circulation of fruits and vegetables, reduce logistics costs, and rationalize logistics by distributing the items sent to wholesalers through field auction and the shipments at local distribution center to neighboring areas through video auction connected to wholesalers real-time. The study especially came up with a logistics rationalization plan by examining and analyzing the stages and costs of transportation between producing areas and wholesalers on the circulation routes of fruits.
This paper describes a system which enables a real-time measurement of 2-D water flow field. One distinctive feature of our system is that velocity vectors of water flow are obtained from the movement of tracer particles at video rate. In order to enable a fast measurement a real time video processor and two Digital Signal Processor(TMS32OC25) are employed. The real-time video processor extracts contours of tracer particles in order to reduce the amount of image data to be processed. And two DSP(Digital Signal Processor) analyse the correlation of every tracer paticle in the consecutive two images to obtain the velocity distribution of water flow.

In the stereoscopic or multiview display, the depth video illustrates visual distances between objects and camera. To promote the computational efficiency of depth video encoder, we exploit the intra prediction of depth videos under Versatile Video Coding (VVC) and observe a diverse distribution of intra prediction modes with different coding unit sizes. We propose a hybrid scheme to further boost fast depth video coding. In the first stage, we adaptively predict the HADamard (HAD) costs of intra prediction modes and initialize a candidate list according to the HAD costs. Then, the candidate list is further improved by considering the probability distribution of candidate modes with different CU sizes. Finally, early termination of CU splitting is performed at each CU depth level based on the Bayesian theorem. Our proposed method is incorporated into VVC intra prediction for fast coding of depth videos. Experiments with 7 standard sequences and 4 Quantization parameters (Qps) validate the efficiency of our method.
In recently, as the interest of media contents increase among internet users, a variety of media contents are circulated in the web. Especially, video-media content in media contents attracts internet user's interest. In conjunction with web 2.0, internet users open and share their making contents by themselves. Their attitude about accepting media contents is not passive but aggressive. Additionally, they create new form of distribution of the flow. Video media content for distribution on the Web is created by experts to a professional content, but Web 2.0 era, the UCC (User Create Contents) in the form of self-produced content is the most. The generated media by the general internet users, but self-produced content, provides video information only and has limitations. To satisfy internet users as consumers in the web 2.0 eras, it has needed to provide actual feeling contents that add various effects not just simple media. Therefore, this paper represents the existing media content with simple information based on the concept of ontology and the meaning to the subject for the media content. We will provide an actual feeling how to offer the configuration of a service model (AF-VS : Actual Feeling Video Service).
