  • Objectives: This scoping review aimed to identify and analyze intervention strategies and assessment methods for oral hygiene management (OHM) and oral function management (OFM) in patients with stroke admitted to general wards, with the goal of providing directions for future research. Methods: We conducted a comprehensive literature search on studies published over the past 10 years across databases, including Cochrane, Embase, Medline, PubMed, and ProQuest. A total of 18 studies met the inclusion and exclusion criteria. Results: In the OHM studies (N=7), oral hygiene care was primarily provided by nurses, dental assistants, and nursing care aides. Oral hygiene was assessed using plaque and gingival bleeding indices with products such as electronic toothbrushes and mouth rinses. In the OFM studies (N=11), care was provided by speech-language pathologists, occupational therapists, and dental hygienists. Assessment tools included the Functional Oral Intake Scale, the Penetration-Aspiration Scale, and Video Fluoroscopic Swallowing Studies. Conclusions: Improving the oral health of patients with stroke requires both hygiene and functional management. Therefore, it is necessary to develop a method that provides specialized oral care tailored to the hospitalization environment and the specific conditions of patients with stroke.

  • This paper addresses the issues of 3D human activity detection, tracking and recognition from RGB-D video sequences using a feature structured framework. During human tracking and activity recognition, initially, dense depth images are captured using depth camera. In order to track human silhouettes, we considered spatial/temporal continuity, constraints of human motion information and compute centroids of each activity based on chain coding mechanism and centroids point extraction. In body skin joints features, we estimate human body skin color to identify human body parts (i.e., head, hands, and feet) likely to extract joint points information. These joints points are further processed as feature extraction process including distance position features and centroid distance features. Lastly, self-organized maps are used to recognize different activities. Experimental results demonstrate that the proposed method is reliable and efficient in recognizing human poses at different realistic scenes. The proposed system should be applicable to different consumer application systems such as healthcare system, video surveillance system and indoor monitoring systems which track and recognize different activities of multiple users.

  • Human action recognition is used in areas such as surveillance, entertainment, and healthcare. This paper proposes a system to recognize both single and continuous human actions from monocular video sequences, based on 3D human modeling and cyclic hidden Markov models (CHMMs). First, for each frame in a monocular video sequence, the 3D coordinates of joints belonging to a human object, through actions of multiple cycles, are extracted using 3D human modeling techniques. The 3D coordinates are then converted into a set of geometrical relational features (GRFs) for dimensionality reduction and discrimination increase. For further dimensionality reduction, k-means clustering is applied to the GRFs to generate clustered feature vectors. These vectors are used to train CHMMs separately for different types of actions, based on the Baum-Welch re-estimation algorithm. For recognition of continuous actions that are concatenated from several distinct types of actions, a designed graphical model is used to systematically concatenate different separately trained CHMMs. The experimental results show the effective performance of our proposed system in both single and continuous action recognition problems.

  • Hybrid video call healthcare system that we propose in thesis is a service for powerless people rather than ordinary people. This system is for communication between users and protectors(or volunteers). To reduce the underprivileged through the 'Malbeot Nanumi' is the purpose of the system. Hybrid Health Care System using a video call and temperature/humidity/pulse sensors that we propose in thesis can connect sensors with software, and save p2p connection information for 'Malbeot Nanumi' service by database. And health check data can save locally. Hybrid Health Care System in a Wireless Network Environment is a system that elderly people living alone is to be a conversation. The purpose of this thesis is to develop the software and to design a convenient UI to the user, And increasing consumption of care system by increasing the happiness index and increasing aging population.

  • Based on the cardiac PACS application collected from three university hospitals across the country, this research showed us a composition method of a server and storage devices with conditions in the field. Also, we founded the practical use of software making the best of cardiovascular PACS features. In addition, it also examined the components and requirements of the key functions that are available in the cardiovascular sector. We will be investigated the design experience and applications on stable storage and transmission of large video clip data, cardiovascular analysis, and gear interlocks through the study.

  • Artificial Intelligence (AI) has rapidly evolved over the past decade and has advanced in areas such as language comprehension, image and video recognition, programming, and scientific reasoning. Recent AI technologies based on large language models and foundation models are approaching or surpassing artificial general intelligence. These systems demonstrate superior performance in complex problem-solving, natural language processing, and multidomain tasks, and can potentially transform fields such as science, industry, healthcare, and education. However, these advancements have raised concerns regarding the safety and trustworthiness of advanced AI, including risks related to uncontrollability, ethical conflicts, long-term socioeconomic impacts, and safety assurance. Efforts are being expended to develop internationally agreed-upon standards to ensure the safety and reliability of AI. This study analyzes international trends in safety and trustworthiness standardization for advanced AI, identifies key areas for standardization, proposes future directions and strategies, and draws policy implications. The goal is to support the safe and trustworthy development of advanced AI and enhance international competitiveness through effective standardization.

  • Recent progress in audio-driven talking face generation has focused on achieving more realistic and emotionally expressive lip movements, enhancing the quality of virtual avatars and animated characters for applications in entertainment, education, healthcare, and more. Despite these advances, challenges remain in creating natural and emotionally nuanced lip synchronization efficiently and accurately. To address these issues, we introduce a novel method for audio-driven lip-sync that offers precise control over emotional expressions, outperforming current techniques. Our method utilizes Conditional Deep Variational Autoencoder to produce lifelike lip movements that align seamlessly with audio inputs while dynamically adjusting for various emotional states. Experimental results highlight the advantages of our approach, showing significant improvements in emotional accuracy and the overall quality of the generated facial animations, video sequences on the Crema-D dataset [1].
