The bridge to be analyzed is a self-anchored suspension bridge which is constructed within the country. Forced vibration test was performed with oscillator for verification of safety, maintenance and management. In this study, the feasibility of deduction was verified with the modified analysis model by comparing natural frequency, natural mode and damping ratio of the real bridge, which are obtained from the vibration test of the whole bridge after construction of 3-dimensional self-anchored cable suspension bridge, with the eigenvalue of analytic computation model and evaluating them. As a result of study, the friction of bridge bearing must be considered to get the natural frequencies of flexural vibration, and evaluating the polar moment of inertia is critical factor in analysis modeling in case of torsional vibration. The logarithmic damping ratio of the test appeared to exceed the ordinary one assumed at the design phase.
By using the Mass-Weighted-Cartesian coordinate method, the allosteric effect of 2,2'-bipyridyl crown(4) ether is studied. The vibrational modes of 235, 234, 188, and 178cm$^{-1}$ belong to the pore opening motion of crown ether and those of 168, 104, and 67cm$^{-1}$ belong to the rotational vibration motion of bipyridyl. Especially the mode appearing at 178cm$^{-1}$ shows a large allosteric effect by activation of the allosteric site.
Vibrational properties of dopamine neutral species in powder state have been studied by means of the normal mode analysis based on the force constants obtained from the density functional calculation at B3LYP level and the results of Fourier trans form Raman and infrared spectroscopic measurements. Ab initio calculation at MP2 level shows that the trans conformer of dopamine has higher electronic energy about 1.4 kcal/mol than those of the gauche+ and the gauche-conformers, and two gauche conformers have almost the same energies. Free energies calculated at HF and B3LYP levels show very similar values for three conformers within 0.3 kcal/mol. Empirical force field has been constructed from force constants of three conformers, and refined upon ex-perimental Raman spectrum of dopamine to rigorous values. The major species of dopamine neutral base in the powder state is considered a trans conformer as shown in the crystallographic study of dopamine cationic salt.
In this investigation, an improved integral trigonometric shear deformation theory is employed to examine the vibrational behavior of the functionally graded (FG) sandwich plates resting on visco-Pasternak foundations. The studied structure is modelled with only four unknowns' variables displacements functions. The simplicity of the developed model being in the reduced number of variables which was made with the help of the use of the indeterminate integral in the formulation. The current kinematic takes into consideration the shear deformation effect and does not require any shear correction factors as used in the first shear deformation theory. The equations of motion are determined from Hamilton's principle with including the effect of the reaction of the visco-Pasternak's foundation. A Galerkin technique is proposed to solve the differentials governing equations, which enables one to obtain the semi-analytical solutions of natural frequencies for various clamped and simply supported FG sandwich plates resting on visco-Pasternak foundations. The validity of proposed model is checked with others solutions found in the literature. Parametric studies are performed to illustrate the impact of various parameters as plate dimension, layer thickness ratio, inhomogeneity index, damping coefficient, vibrational mode and elastic foundation on the vibrational behavior of the FG sandwich plates.
Coherent oscillations in is fluorescence dynamics of W.-t. PYP and its site-directed mutants have been observed. Two oscillatory modes coupled with the ultrafast fluorescence due to the twisting of the excited chromophore were identified, a high ftequency mode (∼135 cm$\^$-1/) with ∼550 is damping time and a low frequency overdamped mode (-45 cm$\^$-1/) with ∼250 is damping time, respectively. Both modes disappear in the fluorescence dynamics of denatured PYP emphasizing the important role of the protein nanospace as the environment for photoreaction. The qualitative picture of fluorescence dynamics in site-directed mutants was rather similar to that in W.-t. PYP, i.e., similar oscillatory modes (∼130-140 cm$\^$-1/ and ∼40-70 cm$\^$-1/) have been observed. This indicates that the vibrational modes and electron-vibration couplings do not change dramatically due to the mutation though the damping time of low frequency mode a little decreases as the protein nanospace structure becomes looser and more disordered by mutation. On the other hand, in the case of some PYP analogues, the qualitative picture of fluorescence dynamics changes, showing the familiar picture of solvation effect whereas the oscillations are almost damped. Comparative analyses of these observations are presented.

In this paper, a physically meaningful methodology which can assess the contribution of each vibration mode to various vibration response signals (displacement, velocity, acceleration) is developed. Based on these results, the problem of quantitative assessment of the relative importance of a structural system's vibrational modes is discussed. In addition, a direct method which ran assess the relative importance of each mode from uniformly sampled experimental data is also proposed.

If heave motion in the platform causes horizontal parametric vibration of a Compliant Vertical Access Riser (CVAR), the riser may become unstable. A combination of riser parameters lies in the unstable region aggravates vibrational damage to the riser. Change of axial tensile stress in the riser combined with its natural frequency and mode shape change results in mode coupling. In accordance with the state transition matrices of the riser in the coupled and uncoupled states, the stable and unstable regions were obtained by Floquet theory, and the vibration response under different conditions was obtained. The parametric excitation of the CVAR is shown to occur mainly in first-order unstable regions. Mode coupling may cause parametric excitation in the least stable regions. Damping reduces the extent of unstable regions to a certain extent.

The vibrational system of this study is consisted of a rotating cantilever pipe and the flow in the pipe. The equation of motion is derived by using Lagrange equation. The influences of the rotating angular velocity and the velocities of fluid flow in the pipe have been studied on the dynamic characteristics of a rotating cantilever pipe by numerical method. The tip-amplitude of axial vibration and maximum tip-deflection of axial direction of cantilever pipe are directly proportional to the velocity of fluid and rotating angular velocity of pipe In the steady state. respectively The bending tip-amplitude of cantilever pipe is inversely proportional to the velocity of fluid in the steady state. When the rotating angular velocity is 5 rad/s, the velocity of fluid increase with increasing the natural frequency of axial vibration at second mode and third mode, but the natural frequency axial direction of first mode is decreased. The natural frequency of lateral direction is decreased due to increase of the rotating angular velocity. It identifies that the Influence of velocity of fluid give much variation lower mode of vibration in lateral direction. And the Influence of velocity of fluid give much variation higher mode of vibration in axial direction.
In this study, we suggested a design modification method to reduce the vibration of an air conditioner for railway vehicles and increase the durability of its pipe lines. Through experimental vibrational mode analyses and structural modifications on the air conditioning system, vibration reduction scheme was suggested and evaluated its effectiveness by empirical modal analysis. The derived design idea was applied to a real air conditioning system and the expected improvement was obtained.

The free vibration analysis of the simply supported steel and composite cylindrical shells are investigated. The natural frequencies and mode shapes of the shell are experimentally obtained by impact testing using an impact hammer and an accelerometer. The effects of the material and geometry on the vibrational characteristics of the shell are examined. The experimental results are compared with the analytical and a finite element results. They showed good agreement with each other.
