The benefits and risks of whole body vibration (WBV) based acceleration training on the human body have been documented for many years. WBV training has been shown to increase muscular strength, explosive power, bone strength, performance, mobility, cardiovascular function, circulation and anabolic hormone level and so on. The purpose of this review is correct understanding and application of WBV training. Without proper understanding, rather, to apply WBV to the human body can be fatal harm, and therefore know that what is vibration and has advantages and disadvantages. If there is anything positive side there is bound to the negative aspects. In this regard, WBV training can have a positive impact on the already confirmed by several studies and also, there have been scientifically proven. But still we are part of a scientific approach that is acceptable even to keep in mind that you will always coexist. Once again, the effect of WBV with a physical stimulus that risk and should be remembered. In addition, given the momentum and how to exercise and well-being well aware that vibration exercise as a way to think of how not to be familiar with.
The noise from the elevated lines of rail transit has become a growing problem. This paper presents a new method for the rapid prediction of the structure-borne noise from steel or composite bridges, based on the receptance and Statistical Energy Analysis (SEA), which is essential to the study of the generation mechanism and the design of a low-noise bridge. First, the vertical track-bridge coupled vibration equations in the frequency domain are constructed by simplifying the rail and the bridge as an infinite Timoshenko beam and a finite Euler-Bernoulli beam respectively. Second, all wheel/rail forces acting upon the track are computed by taking a moving wheel-rail roughness spectrum as the excitation to the train-track-bridge system. The displacements of rail and bridge are obtained by substituting wheel/rail forces into the track-bridge coupled vibration equations, and all spring forces on the bridge are calculated by multiplying the stiffness by the deformation of each spring. Then, the input power to the bridge in the SEA model is derived from spring forces and the bridge receptance. The vibration response of the bridge is derived from the solution to the power balance equations of the bridge, and then the structure-borne noise from the bridge is obtained. Finally, a tri-span continuous steel-concrete composite bridge is taken as a numerical example, and the theoretical calculations in terms of the vibration and noise induced by a passing train agree well with the field measurements, verifying the method. The influence of various factors on wheel/rail and spring forces is investigated to simplify the train-track-bridge interaction calculation for predicting the vibration and noise from steel or composite bridges.
In the fields of civil engineering and seismology, it is essential to detect and tracking the vibrations, and the fiber Bragg gratings (FBGs) are typically used as sensors to measure vibrations. Where, one of the most popular and detailed approaches to use FBGs as vibration sensors involves the use of cantilever beam designs, which adds a mass to measure low and moderate frequencies (from 20 Hz up to 1 kHz) with high sensitivities (greater than 10 pm/g). The design consists of a bending strain in the cantilever that is simultaneously transferred to the FBG, resulting in a shift in the wavelength that is proportional to the strain experienced by the cantilever. In this work, we present the experimental results of a vibration sensor design using a cantilever beam to generate an axial uniform strain in the FBG in-line with the vertical axis, which modifies the cantilever's natural frequency that allows the sensor to have a wide frequency broadband without losing sensitivity. This sensor achieved a sensitivity of about 339 pm/g and a natural frequency of 227.3 Hz. The presented design compared with the traditional cantilever beam-based FBG vibration sensors, has the advantages of a simple design for detection on vibration-sensitive structures and its physical parameters can be easily modified in order to satisfy the requirements of the desired vibration measurements.
This study has been motivated to examine the performance of a wireless sensor system under the typhoons as well as to analyze the effect of the typhoons on the bridge's vibration responses and the variation of cable forces. During the long-term field experiment on a real cable-stayed bridge in years 2011-2012, the bridge had experienced two consecutive typhoons, Bolaven and Tembin, and the wireless sensor system had recorded data of wind speeds and vibration responses from a few survived sensor nodes. In this paper, the wireless structural health monitoring of stay cables under the two consecutive typhoons is presented. Firstly, the wireless monitoring system for cable-stayed bridge is described. Multi-scale vibration sensor nodes are utilized to measure both acceleration and PZT dynamic strain from stay cables. Also, cable forces are estimated by a tension force monitoring software based on vibration properties. Secondly, the cable-stayed bridge with the wireless monitoring system is described and its wireless monitoring capacities for deck and cables are evaluated. Finally, the structural health monitoring of stay cables under the attack of the two typhoons is described. Wind-induced deck vibration, cable vibration and cable force variation are examined based on the field measurements in the cable-stayed bridge under the two consecutive typhoons.

In this paper, we have developed a new fault detection method based on vibration signal for rotor machinery. Generally, many methods related to detection of rotor fault exist and more advanced methods are continuously developing past several years. However, there are some problems with existing methods. Oftentimes, the accuracy of fault detection is affected by vibration signal change due to change of operating environment since the diagnostic model for rotor machinery is built by the data obtained from the system. To settle a this problems, we build a rotor diagnostic model by using feature residual based on vibration signal. To prove the algorithm's performance, a comparison between proposed method and the most used method on the rotor machinery was conducted. The experimental results demonstrate that the new approach can enhance and keeps the accuracy of fault detection exactly although the algorithm was applied to various systems.

Nearfield acoustic holography method predicts an unmeasured sound field, therefore it depends on its prediction methods. In particular, if one has radiators or scatters, which cannot be expressed by simple geometry, then inverse boundary element method (BEM) is normally employed to reconstruct the sound field induced by sound sources with irregular profiles. The characteristics of boundary element, including the element shape, characteristic length, order of shape function and others, affect the reconstruction error. Investigating the errors by means of changing these factors will provide a guide line for selecting appropriate factors, associated with the elements of BEM. These factors are investigated by numerical simulations, and the accuracies with respect to the variant factors are compared. Novel suggestions for selecting appropriate boundary element factors are described based on the simulation results.

In general, deflection limit criteria of bridge design specifications have been considered based on static serviceability and structural stability. Dynamic serviceability induced from bridge vibration actually has not been included in the criteria. Thus, it is necessary for comfort limit to be considered in order to check dynamic serviceability on bridge vibration. In this study, the comfort limit of bridge structures based on the RMQ and VDV considering the signal fluctuation effectively and the time duration exposed has been constructed. The comfort limit developed in time domain was verified by using vibration signals directly measured from the existing bridges. Comparing the developed comfort limit with the conventional ones defined in frequency domain, it is shown that the comfort limit developed in time domain would be more feasible for evaluating quantitatively the serviceability due to bridge vibration. Using the Bridge-train interaction analysis program, dynamic response of the bridge by the stiffness change were obtained for several railway bridges. And, a stiffness limit satisfying the bridge vibration serviceability was estimated by compared with comport limit. From the results, a new deflection limit on bridge structures satisfying the vibration serviceability could be proposed by comparing with the conventional deflection limit criteria.
Given that elastic connection is often used between motor drives and load devices in industrial applications, vibration often occurs at the load side. Vibration suppression is a crucial problem that needs to be addressed to achieve a high-performance servo-control system. Scholars have presented many strategies to suppress vibration. In this study, we propose a method to diminish vibration by using a torque feed-forward and disturbance torque observer. We analyze the system performance and explain the principle of the proposed vibration suppression method based on the transfer functions of the system. The design of controller parameters is another important issue in practical applications. We accordingly provide a succinct outline of the design specifications based on the coefficient diagram method. Furthermore, we build a model under the Simulink environment and conduct experiments to validate the proposed method. Results show that speed and position vibrations are successfully suppressed by the proposed method.

In this paper, it is investigated in advance about the PZT-based composition for piezoelectric vibration device. The specimens of piezoelectric ceramics are made of Columbite method. The piezoelectric vibration device by this composition is designed by ATILA(Magsoft) program used FEM(Finite Element Method). The vibration device used for mobile phone must be driven in the frequency of $130{\sim}200Hz$, so the resonant frequency of piezoelectricity must adjust driven frequency bandwidth. The result of analysis by ATILA is appeared dependant property of length, width, thickness and dummy weight about resonant frequency of the piezoelectric vibration device. The size of manufactured actuator is $28{\times}12{\times}0.3mm^3(length {\times}width{\times}thickness)$ and this is bimorph type. The test of manufactured piezoelectric vibration device measure displacement, acceleration and power dissipation. The piezoelectric vibration device has the advantage more than electro-magnetic motor, however the size of manufactured device is larger than electro-magnetic motor.
The stochastic stability control of the parameter-excited vibration of an inclined stay cable with multiple modes coupling under random and periodic combined support disturbances is studied by using the direct eigenvalue analysis approach based on the response moment stability, Floquet theorem, Fourier series and matrix eigenvalue analysis. The differential equation with time-varying parameters for the transverse vibration of the inclined cable with control under random and deterministic support disturbances is derived and converted into the randomly and deterministically parameter-excited multi-degree-of-freedom vibration equations. As the stochastic stability of the parameter-excited vibration is mainly determined by the characteristics of perturbation moment, the differential equation with only deterministic parameters for the perturbation second moment is derived based on the $It{\hat{o}}$ stochastic differential rule. The stochastically and deterministically parameter-excited vibration stability is then determined by the deterministic parameter-varying response moment stability. Based on the Floquet theorem, expanding the periodic parameters of the perturbation moment equation and the periodic component of the characteristic perturbation moment expression into the Fourier series yields the eigenvalue equation which determines the perturbation moment behavior. Thus the stochastic stability of the parameter-excited cable vibration under the random and periodic combined support disturbances is determined directly by the matrix eigenvalues. The direct eigenvalue analysis approach is applicable to the stochastic stability of the control cable with multiple modes coupling under various periodic and/or random support disturbances. Numerical results illustrate that the multiple cable modes need to be considered for the stochastic stability of the parameter-excited cable vibration under the random and periodic support disturbances, and the increase of the control damping rather than control stiffness can greatly enhance the stochastic stability of the parameter-excited cable vibration including the frequency width increase of the periodic disturbance and the critical value increase of the random disturbance amplitude.
