항공기용 외부연료탱크 진동모드 측정시험 (Vibration Mode Measurement Test of External Fuel Tank for Aircraft)

  • 진동모드 측정시험은 대상 시험체의 고유진동 특성을 측정하는 시험으로써, 측정된 고유모드 특성은 수치해석 결과와의 비교를 통해 수치해석의 신뢰성을 검증하고, 필요시 동특성 해석에 사용하는 시험체의 수치해석 모델을 보완하는데 활용된다. 본 연구에서는 진동모드 측정시험과 유한요소 모델을 이용한 수치해석을 통해서 외부연료탱크의 고유주파수와 고유모드를 각각 구하고, 그 결과를 비교하여 항공기 전기체 모델에 적용하고자 하는 외부연료탱크의 수치해석 모델에 대한 신뢰성을 검증하고자 한다. 시험체의 진동모드 측정을 위해 번지코드를 이용하여 시험체에 대한 자유경계 조건을 모사하였다. 그리고, 시험체에 3축 가속도계를 설치하고 임팩트 해머로 가진하여 시험체의 응답특성을 측정하였다. 시험결과로, 응답 가속도에 대한 주파수 응답해석을 수행한 후, 시험체의 고유주파수와 해당 진동모드를 확인하였다. 그리고, 시험과 수치해석을 통해 구해진 고유주파수와 진동모드를 비교하여 수치해석 모델에 대한 신뢰성을 검증하였다.

  • Severe vibration was detected during test operation in motor frame of the Turbo Chiller (300RT). To identify the vibration problem, vibration measurement and modal test were carried out. From the test results, it is concluded that the severe vibration occurred due to the resonance between the motor frame horizontal mode and the motor excitation frequency. Therefore the horizontal mode of the frame could be controlled by the sensitivity analysis results for the length of the supporting plate.

  • In order to convert efficiently vibration energy of a car tire wheel into electrical power by using piezoelectric materials, the design of the materials must be performed for the dynamic characteristics of the piezoelectric materials to be matched with them of the vibration energy sources well. An accelerometer was installed on the tire wheel with a slip ring to investigate the dynamic mode of the wheel as one of the vibration energy sources. During road test, the measurement on the vibration mode of the tire wheel was performed with variations of car speed and road condition. The experimental data were analyzed details for availability as a micro power source for wireless TPMS(Tire Pressure Monitoring System).

TA-ESPI에 의한 외팔보의 탄성계수 측정 (Evaluation of Young's Modulus of a Cantilever Beam by TA-ESPI)

  • The paper proposes the elastic modulus evaluation technique of a cantilever beam by vibration analysis based on time-average electronic speckle pattern interferometry (TA-ESPI) with non-contact and nondestructive and Euler-Bernoulli equation. General approaches for the measurement of elastic modulus of thin film are Nano indentation test, Bulge test and Micro-tensile test and so on. They each have strength and weakness in the preparation of test specimen and the analysis of experimental result. ESPI has been developed as a common measurement method for vibration mode visualization and surface displacement. Whole-field vibration mode shape (surface displacement distribution) at a resonance frequency can be visualized by ESPI. And the maximum surface displacement distribution from ESPI is a clue to find the resonance frequency at each vibration mode shape. And the elastic modules of test material can be easily estimated from the measured resonance frequency and Euler-Bernoulli equation. The TA-ESPI vibration analysis technique is able to give the elastic modulus of materials through the simple processing of preparation and analysis.

  • Vibration characteristics of concrete slabs were investigated using a 1:10 scale model and finite element method. A 1:10 scale model of a test building with 150 and 200mm slab thicknesses was made of acrylic materials. Modal test was conducted to investigate mode shape and modal frequencies. Results show that the mode shapes of two slabs with different thickness are similar each other, whereas natural frequency is different. Through modal analysis using FEM, it was revealed that both mode shapes and natural frequencies calculated from the FEM model are similar to those of the scale model measurement. It was also found that natural frequencies increased with increment of the slab thickness.

  • There was the transient vibration on $H_2$ piping system for cooling the generator in a power plant. We found it was resulted from resonance between the natural vibration of the piping system and exciting force from the turbine rotor by measurement and simulation test. We verified it would be changed the mode shape of the piping system by several simulation test for the structural modification of the piping system. Therefore we concluded that the change of natural vibration mode depends on deeply changing effective length of pipe and reducing supports.

ESPI를 이용한 광학식 정밀 계측 기술 (Optical technique of precision measurement using Electronic Speckle Pattern Interferometry)

  • 본 연구에서는 광학식 계측 기술인 ESPI에서 면외변위인 물체의 진동에 대한 분석을 수행하였다. 진동하는 물체는 고유한 노달 라인을 가지게 된다. 따라서 이를 분석함으로써 진동하는 물체에 대한 정보를 얻을 수 있다. 측정 물체로 스피커와 외팔보 평판을 사용하였으며, 이를 시간 평균 ESPI로 정성적으로 분석하였다. 본 연구의 실험 결과로 스피커에서는 진동 주파수 550Hz와 진폭 570mV에서 저차 모드 간섭무늬가 나타났으며, 진동 주파수 950Hz와 진폭 570mV에서 고차 모드 간섭무늬가 나타났다. 이러한 ESPI는 측정에 레이저를 이용하기 때문에 비파괴, 비접촉 검사이며, 높은 분해능을 가진다. 또한 레이저가 조사되는 영역이 측정 영역이 되므로 측정 물체의 크기에 제한되지 않는다.

Time Average ESPI와 Euler-Bernoulli 방정식에 의한 탄성계수 측정 (Determination of Elastic Modulus by Time Average ESPI and Euler-Bernoulli Equation)

  • The paper proposes a new sonic resonance test for a elastic modulus measurement which is based on time-average electronic speckle pattern interferometry(TA-ESPI) and Euler-Bernoulli equation. Previous measurement technique of elastic constant has the limitation of application for thin film or polymer material because contact to specimen affects the result. TA-ESPI has been developed as a non-contact optical measurement technique which can visualize resonance vibration mode shapes with whole-field. The maximum vibration amplitude at each vibration mode shape is a clue to find the resonance frequencies. The dynamic elastic constant of test material can be easily estimated from Euler-Bernoulli equation using the measured resonance frequencies. The proposed technique is able to give high accurate elastic modulus of materials through a simple experiment set up and analysis.

디스크 브레이크에서 열섬 현상이 발생되는 원인과 저더 진동에 미치는 영향 (The Origin and Effect of Hot Spot Phenomena on Judder Vibration in Automotive Disk Brake)

  • Hot spot phenomenon is caused by non-uniform contact area between brake pad and disk frequent braking. Brake disk deformed by locally concentrated heat increases magnitude of frictional vibration. And this deformation can highly influence the judder vibration. In this experimental study, vibration and hot spot was measured in accordance with rotation of disk and pressure of master cylinder for finding the factors that causes hot spot phenomena. For comparing hot spot aspects with mode shapes of disk, mode shapes were measured by conducting modal test, and analyzed by using finite element analysis. Relation between hot spot phenomenon, and mode shape, pressure of master cylinder and rotation speed of disk respectively, was achieved by hot spot measurement and frequency analysis.
