구조해석을 통한 하부냉동실형 빌트인 냉장고 도어의 처짐량 평가 (Evaluation of Vertical Displacement of Door of Built-in Bottom-Freezer Type Refrigerator by Structural Analysis)

  • In this study, we developed a finite element model for the built-in bottom-freezer type refrigerator and then used the structural analysis method to analyze and evaluate the deflection of the doors. We tested the validity of the developed analytical model by measuring the deflection of the hinge when loads were applied to the upper and lower hinges of the refrigerating compartment and compared these with the analysis results. The comparison of the vertical displacement of the measured result and the analysis result showed an error ratio of up to 12.8%, which indicates that the analytical model is consistent. Using the analytical model composed of the cabinet, hinges and doors, we performed analyses for two cases: both doors closed, and the refrigerating door open. Since the maximum vertical displacement of the refrigerating compartment door (R-door) with the food load is smaller than the gap between the lower surface of the R-door and the upper surface of the freezer compartment door (F-door), it is judged that the R-door and the F-door do not contact when the doors are opened or closed. In addition, the analysis result showed that the difference between the vertical displacement at the hinge on the opposite side and the hinge side of the R-door is favorably smaller than the management criterion of the refrigerator manufacturer.

개선 기법에 따른 광안대교의 교통량 의존 변위 추정 모델 성능 비교 (Performance Comparison of Traffic-Dependent Displacement Estimation Model of Gwangan Bridge by Improvement Technique)

  • 본 연구에서는 2006년도의 교량 유지관리 빅데이터를 이용하여 선행연구에서 개발된 차종별 교통량 데이터와 연직 변위 데이터의 상관관계를 바탕으로 광안대교의 차종별 교통량 데이터를 이용한 연직 변위 추정 모델에 대하여 10여년이 경과한 현재적 적용성을 각각의 업데이트 방법으로 개발된 모델의 변위 추정 성능을 비교 분석하였다. 개발된 모델의 현재적 적용성은 추정된 변위는 실측 변위와 유사한 것으로 분석되었으며, 구조화 회귀 분석에 기반한 모델과 주성분 분석에 기반한 모델의 변위 추정 성능은 상호간에 큰 차이가 없다는 것을 알 수 있었다. 결론적으로 본 연구에서 개발한 차종별 교통량 데이터를 이용한 연직 변위 추정 모델은 광안대교의 교통하중에 따른 거동 분석 등에 유효하게 활용될 수 있을 것으로 사료된다.

  • The purpose of this study was to evaluate how mandibular implant-supported fixed complete prosthesis, implant and mandible responded mechanically, according to curvature of arch, number and location of fixture, and amounts of load. The shape of mandibular arch was tapered or square form and, 4 or 6 fixtures were implanted in each arch model. A vertical load of 10kg was applied at the center of prosthesis and a vertical load of 20kg was applied at the location of the 10mm or 20mm cantilever posterior to the most distal implant. Three-dimensional finite element analysis was performed for stress distribution and deflection using commercial software(ABAQUS program) for Sun-SPARC Workstation. The results were as follows : 1. The case square arch form was more stable to compare with that of tapered arch form in respect of stress distribution and displacement under vertical load on the center of prosthesis. 2. 6-implants cases were more stable than 4-implants cases for decreasing bending torque under vertical load on the center of prosthesis. 3. Under vertical load on cantilever extension, the case of 10mm long cantilever was more stable than that of 20mm long cantilever in respect of stress distribution and displacement. 4. Under vertical load on cantilever extension, 6-implants cases had a tendency to reduce displacement and to increase the reaction force of supporting point due to increasing of the bending stiffness of the prosthesis than 4-implant case. 5. When the ends of 10mm or 20mm long cantilever were loaded, the most distal implant was under compressive stress but the second most distal implant was under the highest tensile stress and the remaining implants were under varying tensile stress. 6. Because 6-implants cases had smaller displacement than 4-implants cases, 6-implants cases were more favorable in respect of prevention of screw loosening under repeated loadings.

Surface displacements due to tunneling in granular soils in presence and absence of geosynthetic layer under footings

  • This paper presents the results of numerical modeling studies on the effect of displacements of tunneling in granular soils. Presence of building loads is considered, to find displacement generated at the surface on tunnel. Effect of varying eccentricities of building is simulated, to find influence of building on vertical and horizontal displacement. Studies were carried out in two cases of with and without a geosynthetic layer installed at the bottom of the footing. Results of analysis revealed, the presence of geosynthetic layer under footing, with building placed on centre line, reduced the surface displacements compared to displacement generated without geosynthetic layer. Presence of geosynthetic layer under footing had a dominant effect in reducing displacements in high storey structures. However, when the building was shifted to greater eccentricities from centre line, presence of geosynthetic layer, led to insignificant reduction of displacements on the centre line at the surface.

다지형 침목 현장 성능평가에 관한 연구 (The Study on Field Performance Test of Multi Branch Type Tie(GOLRY TIE))

  • In railway, Tie supports rail and plays a role that distribute train load to the ballast. Also, Tie and ballast resist against external force and fix the track position. But, weakening resistance of ballast and tie cause vertical displacement of tie and track irregularity. For reinforcement of track stiffness and reduction of track irregularity, KORAIL has developed Multi Branch type tie(GLORY Tie) that reinforced resistance than general PCT and installed in order to test in the field. This study measured and analyzed lateral resistance of ballast, wheel load of rail, bending strain of rail foot, vertical displacement and vibration acceleration of tie in order to evaluate performance of Multi Branch type tie in the field. According to the results of test, Multi Branch tie is excellent than general tie about lateral resistance of ballast and vertical displacement of tie. And, gap of measurement value between Multi Branch type tie and general tie about wheel load of rail, bending strain of rail foot were very small.

Lateral-torsional seismic behaviour of plan unsymmetric buildings

  • Torsional response of buildings is attributed to poor structural configurations in plan, which arises due to two factors - torsional eccentricity and torsional flexibility. Usually, building codes address effects due to the former. This study examines both of these effects. Buildings with torsional eccentricity (e.g., those with large eccentricity) and with torsional flexibility (those with torsional mode as a fundamental mode) demand large deformations of vertical elements resisting lateral loads, especially those along the building perimeter in plan. Lateral-torsional responses are studied of unsymmetrical buildings through elastic and inelastic analyses using idealised single-storey building models (with two degrees of freedom). Displacement demands on vertical elements distributed in plan are non-uniform and sensitive to characteristics of both structure and earthquake ground motion. Limits are proposed to mitigate lateral-torsional effects, which guides in proportioning vertical elements and restricts amplification of lateral displacement in them and to avoid torsional mode as the first mode. Nonlinear static and dynamic analyses of multi-storey buildings are used to validate the limits proposed.

준설 점토사면의 변형양상에 관한 원심모델링 (Centrifuge Modeling on the Deformation Modes of Dredged Clay Slope)

  • 본 연구에서는 준설에 따른 점토사면의 변형 및 변위양상과 파괴형태를 평가하기 위하여 준설사면의 기울기를 변화시키면서 원심모형실험을 실시하였다. 준설사면의 기울기는 1:2, 1:2.5, 1:3으로 변화시키면서 모형실험을 수행하였다. 실험 결과 기울기 1:3인 경우에는 4개월 경과시점까지 사면부내에서 변위는 발생되었지만, 초기단면과 유사하게 사면을 유지하고 있어 준설후 사면 안정성의 확보에는 문제가 없는 것으로 평가되었다. 준설사면 기울기가 1:2.5인 경우에는 4개월 경과시점에서 사면부내에서 국부적인 사면파괴가 발생하였으며, 기울기가 1:2인 사면의 경우 경과시간 2개월 후 원호파괴형태의 사면내 파괴가 발생되었다. 실험결과 지반의 최대 연직변위는 사면의 비탈머리에서 발생하였으며, 최대 수평변위는 비탈머리를 기준으로 0.5~1H(H : 초기 점토층의 높이) 떨어진 지점의 사면부 아래에서 발생하였으며, 최대 수평변위는 최대연직변위의 약 2배 정도인 것으로 나타났다.

  • Distal extension partial dentures are supported by both the relatively rigid teeth and the resilient mucosa. So impression techniques of residual alveolar ridge in case of distal extension partial denture have particular importance in order to broad distribution of the masticatory force. McLean recognized the need for recording the tissues supporting distal extension partial denture base in functional form to equalize the resilient and non-resilient support, and this was called functional impression. Many investigators proposed various techniques of the functional impression for a distal extension partial denture, but only a little studies were performed about displacement of soft tissue under distal extension partial denture base. The purpose of this study is to investigate the amount of vertical displacement of the soft tissue under distal extension partial denture base by different functional impression techniques. Impression techniques used were Z.O.P. Impression, Selective Tissue Placement Impression, Functional Relining Impression. Measurement of the vertical displacement of soft tissue were made with Depth Gauge and Measuring Platform. A Anatomic Impression was used as a control. The results were tested statistically using 3 way ANOVA and Scheffe test. The followings were the results obtained from this study. 1. The greatest amount of soft tissue displacement was observed in the center of the retromolar pad. 2. No significant differences were found between the crest of alveolar ridge and the buccal shelf area. 3. The greatest soft tissue displacement was observed in Functional Relining Impression using Iowa wax, and the least displacement was observed in Selective Tissue Placement Impression using murcaptan rubber base. 4. No significant differences were found between finger pressure and biting pressure in Z.O.P. Impression, but greater displacement was observed by biting pressure than finger pressure in Functional Reling Impression.

모아레 현상을 이용한 영상기반 파이프 서포트 변위측정 방법 (A Vision-based Pipe Support Displacement Measurement Method Using Moire Patterns)

  • 본 연구는 구조물이 하중과 외부요인으로부터 피해를 받을 경우 구조물의 안정성을 판단하기 위해서 발생하는 변위를 측정하는 방법론을 제시하고 실험을 통한 검증을 보여준다. 변위측정은 모아레의 원리를 이용 하였으며 이를 통해 구조물의 미세한 변위를 증폭하여 관찰 할 수 있다. 실험은 실제 현장의 파이프 서포트와 동일한 지름의 파이프를 사용하였으며 파이프가 수평으로 움직인다는 가정하에 파이프의 수평 변위에 따른 모아레 간섭무늬의 수직 변위를 측정하였다. 실험 결과 파이프의 수평 변위와 간섭무늬의 수직 변위의 선형 관계를 확인하고 관계식을 도출하였다. 추가적으로 카메라를 이용한 방법론을 적용하기 위해 수직부재와 카메라 사이의 거리에 따른 간섭무늬 변위의 관계식을 도출하여 카메라의 위치에 상관없이 방법론을 적용할 수 있게 하였다. 결론적으로 본 연구에서 제시한 방법론을 통해 카메라를 이용하여 거리에 상관없이 다수의 수직부재 변위를 동시에 측정하고 구조물의 안전성을 판단하여 붕괴를 감지할 수 있다.

동등체적을 갖는 중공축의 변위거동 안전성에 관한 유한요소해석 (Finite Element Analysis on the Displacement Behavior Safety of Hollow Shafts with Equivalent Volume)

  • 본 연구에서는 여러 가지의 절단면 형상을 구비한 중공축이 동등한 최적을 갖는 경우에 대한 변위거동 안전성을 유한요소법으로 해석하였다. FEM 해석결과에 의하면, 외측튜브, 중간튜브, 내측튜브와 이들 튜브 사이를 연결하기 위해 X-타입 또는 Y-타입의 칼럼을 설치하였을 때 중공축 길이의 중간부에서 발생하는 최대 변위량을 줄여주는 것으로 나타났다. 특히, 하중을 지지하기 위해 구비된 X-타입 또는 Y-타입의 칼럼을 위상차 없이 외측튜브와 내측튜브를 중심축을 향해 직접 연결하면 중공축의 변위량을 줄이는 효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 그리고 동등한 체적을 갖는 중공축에서 발생하는 수직 변위량을 줄여주고, 변위거동 안전성을 높이기 위해서는 하중을 지지하기 위한 칼럼의 두께를 두껍게 설계하는 것이 바람직함을 알 수 있다.
