As smart phones are becoming popular, an operating system is being used at wearable devices, home appliances and smart TVs. A user is able to use various applications on devices with operating system, but there is an increased threat of hacker. Thus, the technology for detecting the forgery of applications is becoming more important on operating system. To detect the forgery of the application, a digital signature technology is used on the filed of application digital signature. According to W3C recommendation, the signing process of application digital signature must be performed at least twice, and the applications which are signed by the application digital signature have to be validated for all signature files when the application is installed in the operating system. Hence, the performance of the application digital signature validation system is closely related to the installer performance on the operating system. Existing validation system has performance degradation due to redundancy of integrity verification among application components. This research was conducted to improve the performance of the application digital signature validation system. The proposal of validation system which is applied proxy system shows a performance improvement compared to the existing verification system.

SoC(System on Chip) technology is widely used in the field of embedded systems by providing high flexibility for a specific application domain. An important aspect of development any new embedded system is verification which usually requires lengthy software and hardware co-design. To reduce development cost of design effort, the instruction set of microprocessor must be suitable for a high level language compiler. And FPGA prototype system could be derived and tested for design verification. In this paper, we propose a 16 bit FPGA microprocessor, which is tentatively-named EISC16, based on an EISC(Extendable Instruction Set Computer) architecture for embedded applications. The proposed EISC16 has a 16 bit fixed length instruction set which has the short length offset and small immediate operand. A 16 bit offset and immediate operand could be extended using by an extension register and an extension flag. We developed a cross C/C++ compiler and development software of the EISC16 by porting GNU on an IBM-PC and SUN workstation and compared the object code size created after compiling a C/C. standard library, concluding that EISC16 exhibits a higher code density than existing 16 microprocessors. The proposed EISC16 requires approximately 6,000 gates when designed and synthesized with RTL level VHDL at Xilinix's Virtex XCV300 FPGA. And we design a test board which consists of EISC16 ROM, RAM, LED/LCD panel, periodic timer, input key pad and RS-232C controller. 11 works normally at 7MHz Clock.

Multimedia Broadcast communication convergence services are broadcast communication convergence services new form that combines a platform technology for driving the application services of various media-related Internet and TV devices. It is possible to mounted the embedded OS of TV existing technology and to support a variety of smart application services to a TV technology evolved form equipped with various platforms on the OS. The services that are fused in this way, multi-media broadcasting communication convergence new services Open IPTV, Smart TV, mobile IPTV, and N-screen, are services actively focusing on three companies domestic services. However, in order to use the software to connect to the Internet for the provision of services, is inherent software vulnerabilities or the Internet. These vulnerabilities can lead to serious security incidents. Therefore, in this paper, or be able to derive the potential security threats that occur in multimedia broadcasting service environment based on security threats and vulnerabilities of existing threats lead to such security incidents in fact, the security it was carried out through a mock hacking validation for threats. It was also suggested necessary technical security measures that can be protect against security threats revealed by using the verification result through the penetration testing. Has been presented countermeasures in fusion communication service environment of multimedia broadcasting by using these results.
In safety-critical systems, software defects may have serious consequences. Therefore, defects should be considered during the requirements specification process, which is the first step of a software development lifecycle. Stakeholder requirements that are usually written in natural language are difficult to derived, and there may also be defects due to ambiguity and inaccuracy. To address these issues, we propose a requirement specification method using a standardized Boilerplate and a GSN Model. The Boilerplate is a semi-standard language that follows a predefined format. Due to its ability to provide a consistent representation of the requirements, boilerplate helps stakeholders avoid ambiguities about what they mean and to define the exact meaning of the requirement. Meanwhile, GSN is recognized notation to prepare a Safety Case to prove to authorities that a system is safe. It can be expressed as a functional goal, e.g., Safety Evidence, etc. The proposed study allows an analyst to easily identify a fault from the early stage of the software development lifecycle. The Boilerplate and GSN Model are designed to specify the requirements of safety critical systems and to prove safety conformity through a connection with Safety Evidence. In addition, the proposed approach is also useful to develop secure software by correcting deficiencies in the requirements found during this process.
Management systems for electronic library have been developed on the basis of Client/Server or ASP framework in domestic market for a long time. Therefore, both service provider and user suffer from their high cost and effort in management, maintenance, and repairing of software as well as hardware. Recently in addition, mobile devices like smartphone and tablet PC are frequently used as terminal devices to access computers through the Internet or other networks, sophisticatedly customized or personalized interface for n-screen service became more important issue these days. In this paper, we propose a new scheme of integrated management system for electronic library based on SaaS and Web Standard. We design and implement the proposed scheme applying Electronic Cabinet Guidelines for Web Standard and Universal Code System. Hosted application management style and software on demand style service models based on SaaS are basically applied to develop the management system. Moreover, a newly improved concept of duplication check algorithm in a hierarchical evaluation process is presented and a personalized interface based on web standard is applied to implement the system. Algorithms of duplication check for journal, volume/number, and paper are hierarchically presented with their logic flows. Total framework of our development obeys the standard feature of Electronic Cabinet Guidelines offered by Korea government so that we can accomplish standard of application software, quality improvement of total software, and reusability extension. Scope of our development includes core services of library automation system such as acquisition, list-up, loan-and-return, and their related services. We focus on interoperation compatibility between elementary sub-systems throughout complex network and structural features. Reanalyzing and standardizing each part of the system under the concept on the cloud of service, we construct an integrated development environment for generating, test, operation, and maintenance. Finally, performance analyses are performed about resource usability of server, memory amount used, and response time of server etc. As a result of measurements fulfilled over 5 times at different test points and using different data, the average response time is about 62.9 seconds for 100 clients, which takes about 0.629 seconds per client on the average. We can expect this result makes it possible to operate the system in real-time level proof. Resource usability and memory occupation are also good and moderate comparing to the conventional systems. As total verification tests, we present a simple proof to obey Electronic Cabinet Guidelines and a record of TTA authentication test for topics about SaaS maturity, performance, and application program features.

In the Fourth Industrial Revolution, a super-intelligent and super-connected society has arrived. Software is an important part of the core technologies of the Fourth Industrial Revolution. The ability to solve problems through software requires software education in that it is a core competency that everyone should have. Software education aims to improve Computational Thinking, which is the ability to solve problems through programming. Until now, most problem-solving programming learning models follow the traditional method of development: Waterfall model (Analysis-Design-Development-Test). In this model, if there is a problem in the preceding step, That could be found in the test phase. This takes a considerable amount of time and effort to find a solution to the problem and can be a burden on the programming learning. In this study, we proposed a Test-Driven Problem-Solving learning model using TDD (Test Driven Development) as Agile development method, and reviewed the appropriateness of the model through experts review. The verification results of the model showed positive evaluation results. In particular, the learning phase configuration of the model, helping in programming learning, helping of Computational Thinking improvement showed high rating, it is determined that there will be positive effects on Computational Thinking improvement through problem-solving programming learning when applying future learning.

Expressed sequence tags (EFTs) are the partial segments of cDNA produced from 5 or 3 single-pass sequencing of cDNA clones, error-prone and generated in highly redundant sets. Advancement and expansion of Genomics made biologists to generate huge amount of ESTs from variety of organisms-human, microorganisms as well as plants, and the cumulated number of ESTs is over 5.3 million, As the EST data being accumulate more rapidly, it becomes bigger that the needs of the EST analysis tools for extraction of biological meaning from EST data. Among the several needs of EST analyses, the extraction of protein sequence or functional motifs from ESTs are important for the identification of their function in vivo. To accomplish that purpose the precise and accurate identification of the region where the coding sequences (CDSs) is a crucial problem to solve primarily, and it will be helpful to extract and detect of genuine CD5s and protein motifs from EST collections. Although several public tools are available for EST analysis, there is not any one to accomplish the object. Furthermore, they are not targeted to the plant ESTs but human or microorganism. Thus, to correspond the urgent needs of collaborators deals with plant ESTs and to establish the analysis system to be used as general-purpose public software we constructed the pipelined-EST analysis system by integration of public software components. The software we used are as follows - Phred/Cross-match for the quality control and vector screening, NCBI Blast for the similarity searching, ICATools for the EST clustering, Phrap for EST contig assembly, and BLOCKS/Prosite for protein motif searching. The sample data set used for the construction and verification of this system was 1,386 ESTs from human intrathymic T-cells that verified using UniGene and Nr database of NCBI. The approach for the extraction of CDSs from sample data set was carried out by comparison between sample data and protein sequences/motif database, determining matched protein sequences/motifs that agree with our defined parameters, and extracting the regions that shows similarities. In recent future, in addition to these components, it is supposed to be also integrated into our system and served that the software for the peptide mass spectrometry fingerprint analysis, one of the proteomics fields. This pipelined-EST analysis system will extend our knowledge on the plant ESTs and proteins by identification of unknown-genes.
In this paper, we propose an efficient image processing system to detect and track the movement of specific objects such as patients. The proposed system extracts the outline area of an object from a binarized difference image by applying a thinning algorithm that enables more precise detection compared to previous algorithms and is advantageous for mixed-mode design. The binarization and thinning steps, which require a lot of computation, are designed based on RTL (Register Transfer Level) and replaced with optimized hardware blocks through logic circuit synthesis. The designed binarization and thinning block was synthesized into a logic circuit using the standard 180n CMOS library and its operation was verified through simulation. To compare software-based performance, performance analysis of binary and thinning operations was also performed by applying sample images with 640 × 360 resolution in a 32-bit FPGA embedded system environment. As a result of verification, it was confirmed that the mixed-mode design can improve the processing speed by 93.8% in the binary and thinning stages compared to the previous software-only processing speed. The proposed mixed-mode system for object recognition is expected to be able to efficiently monitor patient movements even in an edge computing environment where artificial intelligence networks are not applied.
The effective length method for flexural (column) buckling has been used for many decades but its use is somewhat limited in various contemporary design codes to moderately slender structures with elastic critical load factor (${\lambda}_{cr}$) less than 3 to 5. In pace with the use of higher grade steel in recent years, the influence of buckling in axial buckling resistance of a column becomes more important and the over-simplified assumption of effective length factor can lead to an unsafe, an uneconomical or a both unsafe and uneconomical solution when some members are over-designed while key elements are under-designed. Effective length should not normally be taken as the distance between nodes multiplied by an arbitrary factor like 0.85, 1.0, 2.0 etc. Further, the classification of non-sway and sway-sensitive frames makes the conventional design procedure tedious to use and, more importantly, limited to simple regular frames. This paper describes the practical use of second-order analysis with section capacity check allowing for $P-{\delta}$ and $P-{\Delta}$ effects together with member and system imperfections. Most commercial software considers only the $P-{\Delta}$ effect, but not member and frame imperfections nor $P-{\delta}$ effect, and engineers must be very careful in their uses. A verification problem is also given for validation of software for this type of powerful second-order analysis and design. It is a trend for popular and advanced national design codes in using the second-order analysis as a norm for analysis and design of steel structures while linear analysis may only be used in very simple structures.
Recently, the spread of smartphones and various wearable devices has led to increases in the accumulation and usage of personal information. As a result, privacy protection has become an issue. Even though there have been studies and efforts to improve legal and technological security measures for protecting privacy, personal information leakage accidents still occur. Rather than privacy requirements, analysts mostly focus on the implementation of security technology within software development. Previous studies of security requirements strongly focused on supplementing the basic principles and laws for privacy protection and securing privacy requirements without understanding the relationship between privacy and security. As a result, personal information infringement occurs continuously despite the development of security technologies and the revision of the Personal Information Protection Act. Therefore, we need a method for eliciting privacy requirements based on related privacy protection laws that are applicable to software development. We also should clearly specify the relationship between privacy and security. This study aims to elicit privacy requirements and create privacy assurances cases for Privacy Friendly System development.
