창의성 증진을 위한 언어적.시각적 유추의 효과검증 - 실험집단과 비교집단의 비교를 중심으로 한 실험연구 - (A Study on Effect Verification of Verbal and Visual Analogy for Creativity Enhancement - Experimental Study Focused on the Comparison of Experimental Group and Comparative Group -)

  • Personal creativity could be promoted and improved through many experience, training and various prior knowledge. This researcher had proceeded several preceding studies to find effective using methods of analogy for creativity enhancement. This study, following work of preceding studies aims to verify the effects of verbal and visual analogy for creativity improvement. Effect verification had been progressed by comparing the residential design results of two groups which are classified an experimental group consisted of sophomore college students with a comparative group consisted of sophomore university students. Consequently, the experimental group that had undergone many training on verbal and visual analogy in several preceding studies is superior to the comparative group in terms of creative design rate, sketch rate with high quality. Through this result it is verified that the using methods of verbal and visual analogy is very effective on creativity enhancement in interior design process. But the limitation of this study is that there were a few populations. Nevertheless, interdisciplinary this study will be used as a practical one to suggest a model on a teaching method and a theory for creativity improvement in interior design education.

CPS 모형 기반 스크래치 프로그래밍 학습이 언어 창의성에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Scratch Programming Learning based on CPS on Verbal Creativity)

  • 최근 창의성의 영역 보편성 및 영역 특수성에 대한 논의가 계속되어지고 있는 시점에서 컴퓨터 프로그래밍 학습 활동 또한 창의성과 관련하여 다시 연구되어질 필요가 있다. 기존 교육용 프로그래밍 언어학습의 창의성에 대한 측정을 TTCT 도형 검사를 사용한 것에 반해, 본 연구에서는 프로그래밍 활동이 언어적 사고 양식을 더욱 요구하는 창의적 활동이라는 관점으로 바라보고 있다. 이에 따라, 본 연구에서 컴퓨터 과학의 핵심 개념을 학습 내용으로 하는 창의적 문제 해결(CPS) 모형 기반의 스크래치 프로그래밍 학습을 개발하였다. 이 학습 프로그램을 4, 5학년 학생 17명을 대상으로 5일간 4차시씩 총 20차시 적용하고, 정규성이 검증된 이 실험집단에 TTCT 언어 검사의 평균 표준점수(100)로 t검정을 실시한 결과 언어 창의성의 세가지 하위 요인(유창성, 융통성, 독창성)과 창의성 지수(세 요인의 평균 표준점수)가 유의미하게 증진되었다.

시각적 노트 작성 활용이 초등학생의 창의력과 과학과 학업성취도에 미치는 효과 (The Efface of Visual Note Making for Creativity and Science Achievement in Elementary Science Class)

  • The purpose of this study was to explore the effects of visual note making method on creativity and science achievement of elementary school students. This study was conducted for the 17 periods of the first semester of the 4th grade students. Seventy nine students were assigned to experimental group and control group. The experimental group was taught through visual note making methods, and the control group was taught by the traditional manner. On the basis of the test of verbal-spatial from NASSP, the subjects were classified to visual-, visual verbal-, verbal preference groups. After this methods had been applied, students of both groups took tests of creativity and science achievement. The results of this study were as follows: 1. In order to investigate the effects of visual note making on creativity and science achievement of the students, students' creativity and science achievement were analyzed by t-test. The experimental group showed significantly higher scores on both of creativity and science achievement than control group. 2. Visual preference group showed significantly higher score on creativity than visualㆍverbal-, and verbal preference group (p<.01), but not significant on science achievement. In conclusion, the instruction applying the visual note making methods was more effective in nurturing student's creativity and science achievement than the traditional instruction.

  • The objective of this study is to find a educational method that is able to increase creativity using both left and right directed thinking with complementary cooperation. The premise of experimental study is that analogical inference is a great help to make a creative design, and design tasks of commercial space, fashion shop and herb cafe are given to 25 students, voluntary participants in experimental tests. Tests make a clear distinction between a case using verbal analogy from many keywords and another case using verbal visual analogy from keywords and visual images. Consequently, when students use both verbal and visual analogy in solving design tasks their creative ability qualitatively as well as quantitatively is higher than in using verbal analogy. However, when students are classified with high and low sketching group verbal visual analogy is effective for students with high sketching ability to enhance both practicality and originality. Even students with low sketching ability can improve originality remarkably by using verbal visual analogy. In experiment there is time limit, a hour, but in actual studio class it is desirable that an educator guides the latter to make up for the weak points in practicality of their design taking time. Further study will be progressed with the design tasks of residential space to compare with the findings of this study.

An Approach to Study on Mathematical Creativity and Some of its Correlates

  • Mathematical creativity is the most important factor for the advancement of mathematics. Only creative mind can produce creative results. But not much research work has been done in this direction. The present author has taken a scheme of developing a mathematical creativity test to identify creative children in mathematics and to find the relationships of psychoticism, neuroticism, intelligence, ability to achieve in mathematics and general creativity with mathematical creativity and their composite effect on it over a population of Bengali medium school students. In this approach, Bengali adaptation of English version of the "Verbal Test of Creative Thinking" by Mehdi [Mehdi, B. (1985). Manual of verbal test of creative thinking (revised edition). Agra, India: National Psychological Corporation.] has been completed. Works of adapting intelligence test, developing mathematical creativity test, adapting personality test in Bengali are in process. Relationships are to be found later.

The first test is conducted with fundamental conditions such as site or location, users and their design requirements. Other three tests make a clear distinction with three cases using verbal analogy from many keywords, using visual analogy from many images and using verbal visual analogy from keywords and visual images. Consequently, when students use both verbal and visual analogy in solving design tasks their creative ability qualitatively as well as quantitatively is higher than in using only verbal analogy or visual analogy. Further study will be progressed with the design tasks of residential space in order to have an effective verification by comparing students' design results classified into two groups. One is a control group that consists of sophomore students in a college and another is a comparison group that consists of sophomore students in an university.

수학·과학 영재의 인식론적 신념과 창의적 사고와의 관계 (The Relationship between Epistemic Beliefs and Creativity of Mathematics & Science Gifted Students)

  • 본 연구는 수학 과학 영재학생의 인신론적 신념과 창의적 사고의 관계를 분석하고, 인식론적 신념이 창의적 사고에 미치는 영향력을 탐색하기 위한 것이다. 이를 위하여 D광역시에 소재한 A영재교육원 학생 87명을 대상으로 인식론적 신념 척도와 TTCT를 실시하였다. 그 결과 영재학생들은 소박한 인식론적 신념보다 세련된 인식론적 신념 점수가 더 높았으며, 언어 창의력은 고정된 능력 및 잠정적 지식과 도형 창의력은 잠정적 지식, 통합된 지식, 합리적 작업, 비판적 판단, 점진적 과정과 정적 상관이 있었다. 또 소박한 인식론적 신념 중 고정된 능력과 전문가의 권위가 언어 창의력에 유의한 영향을 미치며, 세련된 인식론적 신념 중 잠정적 지식이 언어 창의력에 유의한 영향을 주고 있다는 것을 확인할 수 있었다. 그리고 소박한 인식론적 신념 중 권위의 수용은 도형 창의력에 부적 영향을 주고 있었으며, 세련된 인식론적 신념 중에서는 잠정적 지식과 비판적 판단이 도형 창의력에 영향을 주고 있었다.

초등 예비교사를 대상으로 한 퍼즐 기반 컴퓨터과학 학습 내용 개발 및 적용 (A Development and Application of Puzzle-Based Computer Science Learning Contents for Pre-service Teachers)

  • 본 연구에서는 퍼즐 기반 학습의 교육적 동향과 국내외 연구 사례를 살펴보고 컴퓨터과학의 핵심 개념을 학습 내용으로 하는 퍼즐 기반 학습 내용을 개발하였다. 그리고 이 퍼즐 기반 학습 내용을 예비초등교사 31명을 대상으로 4개월간, 총 32차시를 적용한 뒤 TTCT 언어 검사와 도형 검사를 실시하여 창의성 변화를 측정하였다. 그 결과 언어 창의성의 두 가지 하위 요인과 언어 창의성 지수 및 도형 창의성의 세 가지 하위 요인과 도형 창의성 지수가 유의미하게 증진되었다. 이에 본 논문에서는 검증된 효과를 바탕으로 새로운 컴퓨터과학 교육 형태로서 퍼즐 기반 학습 내용을 제시하고자 한다.

초등과학영재학생의 과학창의성과 다중지능의 관계 - 생명 영역을 중심으로 - (The Relationship between Scientific Creativity of Science-gifted Elementary Students and Multiple Intelligence - Focusing on the Subject of Biology -)

  • This study aims to analyse the relationship between multiple intelligence and scientific creativity of science-gifted elementary students focusing on the subject of biology. For this, 37 science-gifted fifth-graders in the Science-Gifted Education Center at an Office of Education conducted a multiple intelligence test. In addition, researchers collected science-gifted students' results of scientific creativity activity at the botanical garden field trip. The main findings from this study are as follows: First, strong intelligence was logical-mathematical intelligence for gifted students, and weak intelligence was found to be naturalistic intelligence for them. Second, there was no significant correlation in the relationship between multiple intelligence and scientific creativity of science-gifted students. Third, as a result of independent two sample t-test for each intelligence and scientific creativity scores divided into the upper and lower groups, only verbal-linguistic intelligence statistically differed significantly at the level of p<.05 (t=2.13, df=35, p=0.04). Fourth, as a result of conducting a two-way analysis to see if there were any interaction effects, verbal-linguistic and visual-spatial, logical-mathematical and visual-spatial, logical-mathematical and bodily-kinesthetic, and visual-spatial and musical-rhythmic intelligence all showed significant values at the level of p<.05 level in interaction effects on originality element comprising scientific creativity. Fifth, an analysis of students with high naturalistic intelligence showed that their scores of scientific creativity tasks conducted at the botanical garden field trip were all lower. Based on the results of this study, this study discussed the implications of scientific creativity learning linking multiple intelligence in primary science education and gifted education.
