This study was performed to investigate the utility of egg-shell calcium with calcium soak egg-shell in the vinegar. We compared examination eluted quantity with ionization rate in each condition. The results were as follows. 1 The degree of elution and ionization of calcium was proportional to the amount of vinegar and added acetic acid in the vinegar for elution. And ionization rate was the most high in case of 200 ml vinegar volume. 2. fluted quantity were increased in the rank order to 4$0^{\circ}C$ > 3$0^{\circ}C$ > 2$0^{\circ}C$ by temperature but the rank order of ionization of calcium was 3$0^{\circ}C$ > 2$0^{\circ}C$ > 4$0^{\circ}C$ by temperature. The occurrence of unacceptable flavor resulting from the immersion at 4$0^{\circ}C$ was another obstacle to adopt. 3. Eluted quantity and ionization rate of the egg-shell calcium were appeared excellent in case of the brewage vinegar at ventilation condition. The case of brown rice vinegar did not show a considerable difference, but eluted quantity and ionization rate were appeared the most excellent to the other sample. 4. The optimum condition for elution and ionization of the egg-shell calcium was appeared Immersing egg-shells in the brewed rice-bran vinegar at 3$0^{\circ}C$ for three days.

When a fire occurs on a ship that has mechanical ventilation facilities, the air supply and exhaust systems directly effect smoke diffusion. And there is a high possibility that occupant's visibility will be harmed because of smoke. In this study, the effects and risks of air supply and exhaust systems with regard to smoke diffusion given a shipboard fire analyzed with a Fire Dynamic Simulator(FDS). Suggested measures are also provided for using air supply and exhaust systems more efficiently. The results showed that, when air supply and exhaust systems were both working at the time of a fire, rather than stopping these systems as previously encouraged, continuing to operate both was an effective measure to gain evacuation time. When a fire occurred and the exhaust system was operating, also starting the air supply system near the origin of the fire was another effective approach to gain evacuation time. However, when only the air supply system was operating and a fire occurred, the air supply system accelerated smoke diffusion, so it was necessary to stop the air supply system to detect smoke diffusion as much as possible.
The objectives of this study were to evaluate the gap between perceived importance and performance of foreign Chinese students' off-campus restaurants selection attributes and to analyze the factors affecting their satisfaction with off-campus restaurants. All statistical analyses were conducted using the SPSS package program (ver. 20.0). In summary, Importance-Performance Analysis results indicated that 'price propriety', 'ventilation of dining room' and 'friendliness of employees' were key aspects that should be reinforced by off-campus restaurant managers. Additionally, exploratory factor analysis on the validity of the 23 attributes of off-campus restaurant selection resulted in the identification of 5 factors including 'food quality and price', 'physical environment and value', 'service environment', 'service quality', and 'convenience and cleanness'. According to the results of multiple regression analysis, 'service quality', 'service environment', 'food quality and price', and 'physical environment and value' had significantly positive effects on overall satisfaction. In conclusion, in order to increase customer satisfaction among Chinese students, off-campus restaurant managers should improve not only the quality of service and food, but also the physical and service environment.

Nitrous acid (HONO) can be produced by heterogenous reactions of nitrogen dioxide on surface materials and direct emission from combustion sources. However, a little is known of indoor HONO levels or the relationship between residential HONO, NO, and $NO_2$ concentrations in occupied houses. Therefore, we measured simultaneously NO, $NO_2$, and HONO concentrations in living room of an apartment using continuous analyzers to study the production of HONO (June $22{\sim}30$, 2006). The 4-min average concentrations of indoor NO, $NO_2$, and HONO were 4.3 (range: $0.4{\sim}214.3$), 10.3 ($2.0{\sim}87.3$), and 1.8 ppb ($0.3{\sim}7.7$), respectively. Peak levels of HONO up to 7.7 ppb and 24-hr averages as high as 1.7 ppb were measured. In agreement with previous studies, indoor HONO concentrations increased during operation of an unvented gas range. Examination of the observed kinetics suggests that the secondary production of indoor HONO, possibly as a result of heterogeneous reactions involving $NO_2$ and $H_2O$ is associated with $[NO_2]^2[H_2O]\;(r^2=0.88)$ rather than with $[NO][NO_2][H_2O]\;(r^2=0.75)$. Three combustion experiments at nighttime were also carried out to investigate the effects of vented combustion on the HONO, NO, and $NO_2$ concentrations. It was found to release HONO for $10{\sim}15$ minutes after NO and $NO_2$ source was turned off, and peak values were finally attained. Compared to unvented combustion, peak $NO_2$ and HONO concentrations were 3.2 and 2.0 times lower at weak vented combustion (air flow: $340\;m^3/hr$) and 4.9 and 2.4 times lower at strong vented combustion (air flow: $540\;m^3/hr$), respectively, emphasizing importance of operating ventilation hood fan during combustion to improve indoor air quality.

The difference between self-efficacy, knowledge, and attitude before and after CPR education, the self-efficacy increased from 2.08 point before education(p < .001 to 3.18 point after education. Knowledge increased from 2.09 point before education(p < .001) to 3.28 point after education. Attitude increased from 1.75 point before education(p < .001 to 3.05 point after education. 3. The correlation between self-efficacy, knowledge, and attitude toward CPR), was not changed before education. After education, knowledge showed quantitative correlation(r = .219, p < .05) with attitude. 4. In regression analysis with the aim of examining influence of self-efficacy, knowledge, and attitude upon performance ability, the effect wasn't given to performance ability before education. After education, the self-efficacy was indicated to have significant effect on performance ability(p < .05).
The residential complexes in waterfront provide the residents with pleasantness and comfort with their scenety and view in the surrounding watersides. However, it is currently true that there has little been established any designing plan utilizing the environmental characteristics of the waterfront. In this study, a survey was conducted on the residents of a Japanese waterfront. in Nishimiyahama and Lake Biwa, and conducted a comparative and analytic investigation regarding water-friendly activities, residents' consciousness of the housing environment, and reasons for the choice of residenve. From the results, we were able to obtain some suggestive points resulting from the differences of the aforementioned. We also fully comprehended that there are some issues and needs for solution for the environmental characteristics in the waterfront as well as for the damage incurred by salt breeze and insects. In addition, we realized that scenery and view toward watersides are becoming the important factors in the residents' consciousness regarding the housing environment. In case of planning housing complexes located in the waterfront, we keenly understood that "the size of a room", "ventilation", "view and daily lighting", and "securing privacy" are having effects on the residents' consciousness of their housing.

The amount of TPH contaminated soil treated at off-site remediation facilities is ever increasing. For the recycle of the treated-soil on farmlands, it is necessary to restore biological and physico-chemical soil characteristics and to remove residual TPH in the soil by an economic polishing treatment method such as phytoremediation. In this study, a series of experiments was performed to select suitable plant species and to devise a proper planting method for the phyto-restoration of TPH-treated soil. Rye (Secale cereale) was selected as test species through a germination test, among 5 other plants. Five 7-day-old rye seedlings were planted in a plastic pot, 20 cm in height and 15 cm in diameter. The pot was filled with TPH-treated soil (residual TPH of 1,118 mg/kg) up to 15 cm, and upper 5 cm was filled with horticulture soil to prevent TPH toxic effects and to act as root growth zone. The planted pot was cultivated in a greenhouse for 38 days along with the control that rye planted in a normal soil and the blank with no plants. After 38 days, the above-ground biomass of rye in the TPH-treated soil was 30.6% less than that in the control, however, the photosynthetic activity of the leaf remained equal on both treatments. Soil DHA (dehydrogenase activity) increased 186 times in the rye treatment compared to 10.8 times in the blank. The gross TPH removal (%) in the planted soil and the blank soil was 34.5% and 18.4%, respectively, resulting in 16.1% increase of net TPH removal. Promotion of microbial activity by root exudate, increase in soil permeability and air ventilation as well as direct uptake and degradation by planted rye may have contributed to the higher TPH removal rate. Therefore, planting rye on the TPH-treated soil with the root growth zone method showed both the potential of restoring biological soil properties and the possibility of residual TPH removal that may allow the recycle of the treated soil to farmlands.

Double outlet of right ventricle (DORV) refers to a congenital heart disease in which pulmonary and systemic circulation originates from the right ventricle. In the patient with DORV, it is important to maintain the balance between pulmonary and systemic circulation in anesthetic management. A 4-year-old boy with DORV, who underwent a Blalock-Taussig shunt operation, was transferred to the clinic with a chief complaint of multiple caries. Due to poor cooperability, it was impossible to treat the caries without sedation or general anesthesia. We planned to sedate him with consideration with detrimental effects associated with positive pressure ventilation for dental treatment. After a prophylactic administration of antibiotics, sevoflurane was administered through T-cannula site. Throughout the treatment, His blood remained stable around 80/40 mmHg, oxygen saturation remained around 91%. After 3 hour of sedation with sevoflurane (end-tidal sevoflurane con 1-1.8 vol%), he fully regained consciousness, and discharged from hospital without complications. In case of DORV patient, deep sedation with sevoflurane may be used as effective method of behavioral management during dental treatment.

In the food wastewater treatment facilities, the water quality improvement effect and the greenhouse gas emission amount followed by the change in electricity usage through a change of the aeration tank ventilation system were evaluated. also, the amount of greenhouse gas emission followed by the change in electricity usage through the change of the sludge dewatering, storage, transporting method was also evaluated. The total GHG emission from food wastewater treatment facility improvement were divided into direct emissions from the treatment processes and indirect ones from electricity usage. The water quality improvement effect of wastewater treatment plant was found to be 63.3% for BOD removal rate, 42.0% for COD removal rate, 71.0% for SS removal rate and 39.6% for T-N removal rate. and according to the results of calculating output by applying both direct emissions of greenhouse gas (Scope 1) and the indirect emission (Scope 2) of greenhouse gas followed by changes in power consumption. It was estimated that there was a total of 276.0tCO2eq./yr(7.5%) greenhouse gas reduction effect from 3,668.8tCO2eq./yr before improvement to 3,392.8tCO2eq./yr after improvement. In this result is not due to the effects of water quality improvement of emission source, but because the reduction in electricity use has reduced the amount of greenhouse gas emissions.
This study was conducted to investigate the differences between emotional responses and neurotransmitters in moderate-intensity continuous exercise (MICE) and high-intensity interval exercise (HIIE) in 30 low-active women. Both groups performed a designed acute treadmill exercise and repeated the same exercise three times at intervals of one week. MICE performed a 25-minute continuous exercise at 90% VT(ventilation threshold) after a 5-minute warm-up session at 50% VT and then cooled down for 5 minutes at 50% VT level. The HIIE was repeated 6 times for 2 minutes at 115% VT level, and the intermediate active recovery was repeated 4 times for 2 minutes at 85% VT level. The results of the statistical analysis are as follows. MICE was showed positive effect for feeling scale and PACES after exercise in the first experiment, but negative effect in the third experiment. Conversely, HIIE was showed negative effect for feeling scale and PACES after exercise in the first experiment, but positive effect in the third experiment. Neurotransmitters were significantly increased in all three groups after 10 minutes of exercise compared to before exercise. In summary, HIIE exercise may be a strategy to increase exercise compliance for low-active women.
