Experimental Evaluation Method for Investigating BSR Noise of Vehicle Seats (차량용 시트의 BSR Noise 규명을 위한 시험적 평가방법)

  • Recently, Most of diverse noise of vehicles has decreased competitively according to development of the automotive manufacturing technology. Especially, Passenger car manufacturers has been conducting buzz, squeak and rattle(BSR) noise test as a method of the noise evaluation tests to reduce an unpleasant sound from interior parts on the driving the car. This paper suggest a evaluation method for detecting position of noise source from measured noise signals of vehicle seats during random excitation BSR test. Hereby the BSR test procedure used the test regulation of 'G' company. The detection of noise source positions used the Sound image equipment. Through suggested the test method on this paper, an accurate analysis of noise source occurred in the BSR test will be possible.

  • The flexible pedestrian legform impactor(Flex-PLI) consisting of a flexible femur and tibia will be tested for pedestrian protection by global technical regulation(GTR) within the next couple of years as a replacement for the existing transport research laboratory(TRL) legform impactor. In this study, a computer aided engineering(CAE) model was used to perform the effect analysis of each injury with regard to the changes in tolerance factors with the baseline results without tolerance. The tolerance factors were the height of impactor from ground reference line, initial velocity of impactor and rotation of impactor.

  • The objective of this paper is to develop the new robust and adaptive control system against external environments as applying the probabilistic recognition which is one of the inherent properties of immune system, ability of learning and memorization, and regulation theory of immune network to the system under engineering point of view. In this paper, HIA(Humoral Immune Algorithm) PID controller using Neural Network Identifier was proposed to drive the autonomous guided vehicle(AGV) more effectively. To verify the performance of the proposed HIA PID controller, some experiments for the control of steering and speed of that AGV are performed.

  • In an early engine development, it is highly required to determine the Key Test Points at the main driving, zone and lessen those points to reduce a test duration. This paper describes that it is possible not only to predict the cycle fuel consumption[g/km], emissions[g/km] from engine data(BSFC[g/kWh], emissions[g/kWh]) but also to confirm the emission regulation potential before a vehicle test.

Contactless Power Charger for Light Electric Vehicles Featuring Active Load Matching

  • Contactless power transfer technology is gaining increasing attention in city transportation applications because of its high mobility and flexibility in charging and its commensurate power level with conductive power transfer method. In this study, an inductively coupled contactless charging system for a 48 V light electric vehicle is proposed. Although this study does not focus on system efficiency, the generic problems in an inductively coupled contactless power transfer system without ferromagnetic structure are discussed. An active load matching method is also proposed to control the power transfer on the receiving side through a load matching converter. Small signal modeling and linear control technology are applied to the load matching converter for port voltage regulation, which effectively controls the power flow into the load. A prototype is built, and experiments are conducted to reveal the intrinsic characteristics of a series-series resonant inductive power charger in terms of frequency, air gap length, power flow control, coil misalignment, and efficiency issues.

  • Safety of breaking facility is very important in subway safety, especially in case of subway that many people used, breaking capability is connected directly with safety and capability of vehicle. Recently, direction of subway technical development is established as passenger's convenience and agreeableness. However, we are known importance of safety in subway through Dae-gu subway incendiary case. Subway accident not happen only fire, vehicle collisions or passenger's fall to the track can happen. In this case, safety standard of breaking facilities is very important. so this paper define safety of breaking facilities and take proper that standard.

  • High efficiency operation is required for motors of vehicle to increase fuel efficiency due to the regulation of exhaust gas. This paper presents a control method of fuel pressure to increase fuel efficiency and a sensorless control method of BLDC motor to get higher efficiency than conventional brushed DC motor. Initial rotor position of BLDC motor is detected from current value that is occurred by test voltage pulse and rotor is accelerated by defined sequence to enter sensorless operation mode. The algorithm to control flow rate of fuel pump uses PI controller that is control motor speed to maintain the target fuel pressure commanded by ECU.

  • Recently, exhaust gas regulation has been gradually strengthened due to depletion of fossil fuels and environmental problem like a global warming. Due to this global problem, the demand for eco-friendly vehicle development is rapidly increasing. A clean diesel vehicle is considered as a realistic alternative. The common-rail fuel injection system, which is the key technology of the clean diesel vehicle, has adopted injection strategies such as high pressure injection, multiple injection for better atomization of the fuel. In addition, the emission regulations in the future is expected to be more stringent, which a conventional engine is difficult to deal with. One of the way for actively proceeding is the study of alternative fuels. Among them, the bio-diesel has been attracted as an alternative of diesel. So, in this study, spray characteristics of bio-diesel was analyzed in the common-rail fuel injection system with three injectors driven by different operating mechanism.

Analysis of Fuel Economy for Series Plug-in Hybrid Electric Bus according to Engine Operation Strategy Based on Simulation (직렬형 플러그인 하이브리드 전기 버스의 엔진 구동 전략에 따른 시뮬레이션 기반 연비 분석)

  • Because of high oil prices and emission gas problems, many governments tighten regulation of fuel economy and emission gas. For Passenger car, there are many researches for plug-in hybrid electric vehicles and they are being manufactured. On the other hand, there are few researches for plug-in hybrid electric bus that is heavy commercial vehicle. In this study, analysis of fuel economy for series plug-in hybrid electric bus according to engine operation strategy based on simulation is conducted. Forward simulator is developed using Autonomie. Engine operation strategies consist on constant engine operation strategy and engine on/off operation strategy. Considering the engine operation strategy, results of vehicle speed, engine operating points and fuel economy are obtained and analyzed. As a result, engine on/off operation strategy has more advantage than constant engine operation strategy in terms of fuel economy.
