사향소합원(麝香蘇合元)이 Alzheimer's disease 모델 백서의 학습과 기억에 미치는 영향 (The effects of Sahyangsohapwon on Learning and Memory of AD Rats using Morris water maze and Radial arm maze paradigm)

  • The effects of Sahyangsohapwon on the enhancement of learning and memory of AD model rats were studied with Morris water maze and radial arm maze. Sample group was electrolytically lesioned on nbM, and then daily treated with the medicine for two months. Control group with nbM lesion, and sham group with the sham operation were treated the vehicle for same duration. The following results were observed. In the learning trials of Morris water maze, all three groups were improved in learning capacity as trials were repeated, but the sham group showed more prominent improvement in learning compared with the control group(p<0.01). 2. In memory retention test of Morris water maze, the sham group marked more significant improvement statistically in memory retention compared with the control group(p<0.05). 3. In the learning of radial arm maze, the sham group shows better learning capacity significantly compared with the control group(p<0.05). With the experimental results above, Sahyangsohapwon can be supposed to have the improving effects on the learning and memory of AD rats induced by electronical injury of nbM.

철도차량용 제동디스크의 온도 변화 따른 재질의 특성 변화에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Change of Mechanical Properties due to the Temperature Effect for the Braking Disc)

  • This study investigates the change of the temperature and mechanical properties of the braking disk for the railway vehicle. The average temperature is measured about $100^{\circ}C$ and the maximum temperature is measured over $200^{\circ}C$ by non-contact sensor from Seoul to Chun-an. In the $20^{\circ}C-300^{\circ}C$, the 0.2% offset yield strengths of the disk (GC25-30 material) are a little down to the reference value, but the linear relation of tensile test result is not find from the linear change of temperature. However, JIC values have the inverse proportion to the temperature, and the JIC value at $200^{\circ}C$ decrease 30.55% from the JIC. value of the room temperature. This result means that the crack length on the braking disk is rapidly increase at $200^{\circ}C$.

  • Brake judder, which occurs when brakes are suddenly applied to a vehicle driving at high speed, affects the driver's safety to a great extent. It also has a low frequency that drivers can easily feel. Among theses presented, none offered studies using modeling of actual brakes in computer simulation in order to recreate the brake judder phenomenon, and most of them directly applied the frequency generated by the judder. To resolve this issue, this study hopes to develop a computer model that can recreate the phenomenon of brake judder. In this paper, in order to examine the vibration problem occurring when brake is applied on the test car, the multibody dynamic analysis program ADAMS was used to develop a computer model that can recreate the actual braking mechanism while breaking away from the existing understanding of brakes. Thus the existence of the brake judder phenomenon due to DTV(Dist Thickness Variation) and wheel rotating speed was examined through the developed model.

  • Domestic Foreign automaker's are focused on the high-efficiency, low emission cars development. On the way, the hybrid car is the first priority. Hybrid electric vehicle battery pack configurations, EV Relay one of the key components of the engine driving, to assist in the drive motor to supply electrical energy to the battery is a device for opening and closing of the output device. EV Relay determine the longevity and the replacement cycle, The EV Relay environmental conditions and duty cycle considering the reliability tests are essential requirements of many automotive companies to respond to RFQ, this test is essential. This paper using Maxwell Software for Prediction of the Ev Relay impulse, the theoretical data to obtain the impulse to develop methods for mechanical testing after to take advantage of it.

정성적 추론을 이용한 자동차 충돌 사고 재구성의 검증 (Verification of Automobile Collision Accident Reconstruction Using Qualitative Reasoning)

  • 자동차 충돌 사고 재구성이란 사고 상황으로부터 가능한 모든 정보를 수집, 분석하여 충돌로 인한 사고 거동 및 원인을 규명하는 작업이다. 본 논문에서는 자동차 사고 재구성에 직접 적용이 가능하도록 개발된 충돌 재구성 시스템을 소개하고자 한다. 본 시스템은 정량적 충돌 재구성 시스템과 정성 적 충돌 추론 시스템을 통합하여, 상호 보완적 역할을 통해 기존의 단일 시스템이 갖는 제한점들을 극복할 수 있었다. 통합된 시스템은 충돌로 인한 거동에 대한 정확한 예측과 아울러 정성 적 충돌 거동 묘사를 제공한다. 강체 동역 학 이론에 기초한 충돌 역 해석 과정 시 정성 적 시뮬레이션을 통해 잘못된 가설을 검증하여, 모순되는 가설을 초기 단계에서 찾아낼 수 있게 하였다. 또한 이 과정에서 인과 관계에 근거한 정성 적 설명을 제공함으로써, 수치 모델에 의해 예측된 결과의 이해를 도울 수 있었다. 본 시스템은 자동차 충돌 사고의 충돌에 적용되어 유효성을 입증할 수 있었다.

Single Oral Dose Toxicity Study of Pinelliae Rhizoma Aqueous Extract in ICR Mice

  • This study was conducted to obtain acute information of the oral dose toxicity of lyophilized water extract of Pinelliae Rhizoma, a dried tuber of Pinellia ternata (PR) in male and female mice. In order to calculated 50% lethal dose (LD$_{50}$) and approximate lethal dose (ALD), test material was once orally administered to male and female ICR mice at dose levels of 2000, 1000, 500, 250, 125 and 0 (vehicle control) ml/kg (body weight). The mortality and changes in body weight, clinical signs, gross observation, organ weight and histopathology of principle organs were monitored 14 days after treatment with PR extract. We could not find any mortalities, clinical signs, changes in the body and organ weights, gross and histopathological findings except for dose-dependent increases in the hepatic fatty change frequencies detected in PR extract 2000 and 1000mg/kg treated in both male and female mice. The results obtained in this study suggest that LD$_{50}$ and approximate LD in mice after single oral dose of PR extracts were considered over 2000 mg/kg in both and female male mice, but more than 1000mg/kg of PR extracts treatment could induce slight hepatotoxicity the fatty changes in mice.

장대 교통터널의 피난연락갱 설치 간격에 관한 실험적 연구 (Experimental Study on the Interval of Emergency Exits in Long Traffic Tunnels)

  • 본 연구에서는 장대 터널 화재시 연기의 거동 특성 파악과 피난연락갱의 설치간격을 결정하기 위하여 축소 모형실험을 실시하여 그 결과를 분석하였다. Froude 상사를 기본으로 1/50로 축소하여 20 m의 모형 터널을 제작하여 실험하였다. 터널 내 20 MW의 화재가 발생 하였을 경우 CO의 전파 속도와 거리와의 관계를 이용하여 피난연락갱의 위치를 검토한 결과, 승객들의 피난시간은 6분이 적절하나 화재시 승객들의 심리적 상태를 고려하여 1분여의 지체시간을 생각하면 실제의 피난시간은 5분 정도가 될 것이므로 최대 간격 250m로 대인용 피난연락갱을 설치하는 것이 바람직할 것으로 판단되었다.

Behavior of Laterally Damaged Prestressed Concrete Bridge Girders Repaired with CFRP Laminates Under Static and Fatigue Loading

  • Many bridges are subject to lateral damage for their girders due to impact by over-height vehicles collision. In this study, the optimum configurations of carbon fiber reinforced polymers (CFRP) laminates were investigated to repair the laterally damaged prestressed concrete (PS) bridge girders. Experimental and analytical investigations were conducted to study the flexural behavior of 13 half-scale AASHTO type II PS girders under both static and fatigue loading. Lateral impact damage due to vehicle collision was simulated by sawing through the concrete of the bottom flange and slicing through one of the prestressing strands. The damaged concrete was repaired and CFRP systems (longitudinal soffit laminates and evenly spaced transverse U-wraps) were applied to restore the original flexural capacity and mitigate debonding of soffit CFRP longitudinal laminates. In addition to the static load tests for ten girders, three more girders were tested under fatigue loading cycles to investigate the behavior under simulated traffic conditions. Measurements of the applied load, the deflection at five different locations, strains along the cross-section height at mid-span, and multiple strains longitudinally along the bottom soffit were recorded. The study investigated and recommended the proper CFRP repair design in terms of the CFRP longitudinal layers and U-wrapping spacing to obtain flexural capacity improvement and desired failure modes for the repaired girders. Test results showed that with proper detailing, CFRP systems can be designed to restore the lost flexural capacity, sustain the fatigue load cycles, and maintain the desired failure mode.

쇼트피이닝 가공된 차량용 스프링강의 피로수명에 미치는 고온의 영향 (A Study on The Effect of High Temperature on Fatigue Life of The Vehicle Spring Steel)

  • In this study, CT specimens were prepared from spring steel(SUP9) processed shot peening which was room temperature, high temperature experiment. And ire got the following characteristics from fatigue crack growth test carried out in the environment of room, and high temperature at $25^{\circ}C,\;100^{\circ}C,\;150^{\circ}C$ and $180^{\circ}C$ in the range of stress ratio of 0.3 by means of opening mode displacement. The threshold stress intensity factor range ${\Delta}Kth$ in the early stage of fatigue crack growth (Region I) and stress intensity (actor range ${\Delta}K$ in the stable of fatigue crack growth (Region II) was decreased in proportion to descend temperature. It assumed that the fatigue resistance characteristics and fracture strength at high temperature is considerable higher than that of room temperature in the early stage and stable of fatigue crack growth region.

한국인 남성 운전자의 운전 자세에서 발생하는 몸통 처짐 현상에 관한 예측 모델 연구 (Prediction of Postural Sagging Observed During Driving in Korean Male Drivers)

  • In the vehicle design, the research on driving posture has stood out as one of the important issues. Recently, the research on 3D human modeling focused on more exact implementation of real driving posture. However, prediction of driving posture through the 3D human modeling fail to reflect on the model the phenomenon called sagging, which refers to the retraction or shrinking of the torso while driving. 30 male subjects participated in the experiment where total subjects were divided into four groups according to height percentile(under 50%ile, 51%ile to 75%ile, 76%ile to 95%ile, over 95%ile). The independent variables were seat back angle(4 levels) and seat pan angle(2 levels). The dependent variable was capacity or the degree of retraction of the torso. First this study measured the sagging capacity by using a paired T-test between erect and retracted posture. Secondly it was tried to find out significant anthropometric variables that were statistically correlated by the analysis of correlation. Finally, a prediction model was derived which explains the capacity of sagging.
