Detection of The Real-time Weather Information from a Vehicle Black Box (차량용 블랙박스 영상에서의 실시간 기상정보 검지)

  • Today is going with the advancement of intelligent transportation systems and traffic environment and helping to provide safe and convenient service through a mobile device work with the popularization of the vehicle black box. The traffic flow by a variety of causes is constantly changing, it is often unable to prepare the driver, depending on external factors can not be controlled by the power of the public, leading to a major accident. The system needs to pass the real-time weather data in the inter-operator to prevent this. The proposed detection algorithm weather information delivered real-time weather information for this paper. The weather condition is detected by using the contrast between the histogram of the motion of the wiper and the clear day algorithm. In general, the wiper is worked in extreme weather conditions that will have a value different contrast due to rain or snow. Situation was considered clear, snowy conditions, such as using it on a rainy situation. First, designated as ROI (Region Of Interest) of the minimum area that can be detected in order to reduce the amount of calculation for the wiper, the wiper, which was detected through the operation of the threshold Thresholding the brightness of the vehicle wiper. In addition, we distinguish the value of each meteorological situation by using contrast. Results was obtained to 80% for the snow conditions, a rainy situation.

  • As much interest recently location based service, a study to analyze the movement patterns of the users from getting a lot of large amounts of data collected from a GPS installed in the smart device. Also it is recorded in the log file in the form of day-to-day personal computer, the development of a variety of a smart phone, a black box, and navigation. This data is collected by the user have been developed a variety of personalized services. In this paper, using the black box camera, such as the vehicle to form a social network platform that broadcasts real-time traffic utilization real-time video information.

  • Recently, SUA(Sudden Unintended Acceleration) are increasingly occurred. However, all the responsibilities of SUA are accepted by an innocent driver despite of painful results due to mystery of accurate cause. If a driver raises this kind of trouble to the corresponding manufacturer, the automaker collects EDR installed in that vehicle and provides the result of their analysis as it turns out most of the analysis results were diagnosed "there is nothing wrong with the car". In this trend, the technology to protect drivers' position from SUA should be developed. In this study, the researchers aimed to develop a black box system that collects additional data from throttle valve which is considered as one of major causes of SUA accidents, in order to explain cause of SUA and defend innocent drivers.

  • Traffic states in urban areas are essential to implement effective traffic operation and traffic control. However, installing traffic sensors on numerous road sections is extremely expensive. Accordingly, estimating the traffic state using a vehicle-mounted camera, which shows a high penetration rate, is a more effective solution. However, the previously proposed methodology using object tracking or optical flow has a high computational cost and requires consecutive frames to obtain traffic states. Accordingly, we propose a method to detect vehicles and lanes by object detection networks and set the region between lanes as a region of interest to estimate the traffic density of the corresponding area. The proposed method only uses less computationally expensive object detection models and can estimate traffic states from sampled frames rather than consecutive frames. In addition, the traffic density estimation accuracy was over 90% on the black box videos collected from two buses having different characteristics.

  • There have been various forms of systems such as a digital speedometer or a black box etc. to meet the social requirement for reducing traffic accidents and safe driving. However that systems are based on after-accident vehicle data, there is limit to prevent the accident before. So in our previous research, by storing, analyzing the Vehicle-dynamic information coming from driver's behavior, we are developing the decision-device which could provide driver with Alerting-Information in real-time to enhance the driver's safety drive. but the performance valuation is not yet executed. Finally, this study developed positional recognition system by using the DGPS for pre-developed risky driving decision device. The result of test analyzed with the same that the aggregated vehicle dynamics data in DGPS and dangerous risky driving decision device. If the performance of risky driving decision device is verified by precisely positional recognition system, the risky driving management of vehicle would be effected.

Real Time Road Lane Detection with RANSAC and HSV Color Transformation

  • Autonomous driving vehicle research demands complex road and lane understanding such as lane departure warning, adaptive cruise control, lane keeping and centering, lane change and turn assist, and driving under complex road conditions. A fast and robust road lane detection subsystem is a basic but important building block for this type of research. In this paper, we propose a method that performs road lane detection from black box input. The proposed system applies Random Sample Consensus to find the best model of road lanes passing through divided regions of the input image under HSV color model. HSV color model is chosen since it explicitly separates chromaticity and luminosity and the narrower hue distribution greatly assists in later segmentation of the frames by limiting color saturation. The implemented method was successful in lane detection on real world on-board testing, exhibiting 86.21% accuracy with 4.3% standard deviation in real time.

  • Recently, more users have been using IoT embedded systems. Since the wireless network function is a basic and core function in most embedded systems, new security threats and weaknesses are expected to occur. In order to resolve these threats, it is necessary to investigate the security issues in the development stages according to the Security Development Lifecycle (SDL). This study analyzes the vulnerabilities of the embedded systems equipped with the wireless network function, and derives possible security threats and how dangerous such threats are. We present security risks including bypassing the authentication stage required for accessing to the embedded system.

  • In this paper, we propose improved night visibility enhancement algorithm based on haze removal method. The proposed method uses new haze removal method in place of the conventional methods. Our night visibility enhancement method is very good and faster than traditional methods. This method also uses additionally local histogram equalization for sharpening the enhanced image. Our method can be applied to any application that uses a visible light camera, and it is appropriate to apply a black box, vehicle camera, and cell phone camera, since it is possible that real-time processing.

  • 블랙박스는 많은 운전자들이 사고 발생 시 사고 경위를 파악하는데 널리 쓰이고 있다. 하지만 블랙박스의 시야각과 용량의 한계로 인해 사고 경위 파악에 어려움을 겪는다. 본 논문에서는 이런 문제를 해결하기 위해 차량 간 블랙박스 영상을 공유하는 시스템을 소개하고자 한다. 이 시스템을 통해 사고 차량은 다각도에서의 사고 영상을 얻을 수 있어 사고 경위 분석에 도움이 된다. 또한 이 시스템을 확장하여 차량뿐만 아니라 주변 영상 촬영기기 (CCTV 등)와도 영상을 공유할 수 있다.

  • 본 논문에서는 안드로이드 기반의 태블릿 PC 환경에서 차량사고 발생 시 번호판 인식을 통하여 해당 사건의 증인을 확보 할 수 있는 증인 확보용 블랙박스 시스템을 제안한다. 이 방법은 기존의 블랙박스 기능에 추가적으로 영상에서 추출한 자동차들의 번호판을 인식하여 번호판 정보를 로그데이터로 저장하는 방식을 사용한다. 이로 인해 차량 사고에 대한 증인을 확보할 수 있는 시스템을 제공함으로써 사건에 대한 사용자의 불리한 입장을 완화 시켜줄 수 있는 객관적 데이터를 제공 및 저장하는 것을 목표로 한다.
