Purpose: Financial independence of the museum is an urgent issue in Korea. In this paper, methodology to combine arts and culture facilities with senior society is investigated based on case study of various senior programs in other countries. Methods: In this paper, case study of various senior programs from cultural and arts facilities in other countries are investigated in the aspect of public nature and independent management. Based on the analysis of the case study, optimal methodology is derived. Results: Based on case study of various senior program in other countries, it is clear that art and cultural facilities play important roles in participating elderly people to various social activities through developing programs specialized for elderly people. Conclusion: From analysis of the case study, senior program from arts and culture facilities provides more familiar contents rather than professional contents. Also, they consider more on communication and cooperation with local society to develop the senior program, which fulfill both public nature and financial independence.

Implant placement is frequently complicated and challenging because of the poor quality and inadequate height of bone. Clinicians should consider various surgical procedures to overcome the problems. We report a case with various surgical procedures used such as inferior alveolar nerve repositioning, sinus bone graft, and autogenous block bone graft using the coronoid process and ramus to overcome severe vertical and horizontal alveolar bone atrophy.

10 patients with mitral regurgitation associated with various congenital cardiac anomalies were treated by reconstructive techniques in the Department of Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery, Hanyang University Hospital during the period of 2 years from 1982 to 1984. There were mitral valvular cleft in one case, chordae tendineae rupture associated with congenital multiple cardiac-anomalies [VSD, PDA, prolapse of aortic non-coronary cusp through VSD] in one case, elongated chordae tendineae after removal of left atrial myxoma in one case, and mitral annular dilatation associated with VSD in 3 cases, large PDA in 2 cases, aortic regurgitation [bicuspid valve] in one case, and unknown origin in one case. Owing to the various pathology above mentioned, reconstructive surgical approach to mitral incompetence is accordingly complicated and a combination of the following different procedures were properly used case by case, that is, suture of chordae tendineae, shortening of elongated chordae tendineae, closure of VSD, ligation of PDA, aortic valvuloplasty, mitral annuloplasty with mattress suture, etc. All patients were survived and they have been excellent postoperative results.

The main goal of a case-control study is to learn the association between various risk factors and a primary outcome (e.g., disease status). Particularly recently, it is also quite common to perform secondary analyses of the case-control data in order to understand certain associations between the risk factors of the primary outcome. It has been repeatedly documented with case-control data, association studies of the risk factors that ignore the case-control sampling scheme can produce highly biased estimates of the population effects. In this article, we review the issues of the naive secondary analyses that do not account for the biased sampling scheme, and also the various methods that have been proposed to account for the case-control ascertainment. We additionally compare the results of many of the discussed methods in an example examining the association of a particular genetic variant with smoking behavior, where the data were obtained from a lung cancer case-control study.

Rule-based Expert system using Fuzzy technique inferences various rules by user's input condition and the most proper control signal. This system can lose objectivity by input condition which depends on user's decision. This paper can solve those problems by adding case-based system's technique. The traffic signal control expert system is proposed to store the cases based on the statistics, days, seasons and various circumstances and use them.

Nowadays Electronic Commerce shopping mall is welcomed more and more on the Internet. It is expected that Shopping mall systems come to be various and adaptable to complex requirements according to customers who have these various needs, but just show products list, instead. This thesis suggests various structures of shopping malls showing interface agent model using Case-Based Reasoning one of reasoning method of Artificial Intelligence instead of the method of prior EC shopping mall. 1 constructed case base by making index with shopping mall members and customers' private informations, and pursued difference from prior EC shopping malls by proposing to customers cases of other users' selection of products who have similar private informations with them.

Purpose: This study was done to develop a realistic clinical case and investigate nurses' decision-making about nurses' ethical dilemmas with physicians in the fields of nursing practice. Methods: Case development and a hypothetical case study were used. Participants were 52 nurses. Data were collected in 2012 and 2013 using an open-ended questionnaire and interviews and analyzed using content analysis and descriptive statistics. Results: Various dilemma situations between nurses and physicians, such as violence, deathbed, medication prescription, and physicians' incapacity unfairness, were suggested. A clinical dilemma case about medication prescription was developed based on nurses' experiences. Nurses' responses to the developed case situation and responses were classified into five types. Various reasons were given for making the decisions and about 56% of the nurses decided to notify their supervisor without deleting nursing records. Conclusion: In this study, a realistic clinical dilemma case was developed, and nurses' ethical decision making was identified. These findings can be used in developing effective strategies for nurses to solve ethical dilemmas and to improve ethical decision-making abilities.

The global information economy is transforming the way people connect with each other, learn new things, and contribute to the knowledge society. With the online platform, library services have also expanded beyond face to face interaction. Although studies of virtual reference services have been made in different parts of the world, a case study discussing various forms of online reference engagement in Kazakhstan has not been written. While most of the theories on connectivism emphasize the context of instruction, the researchers of this paper discussed the tenets as they relate to online engagement. Applying the theory of connectivism, this paper explores through a mixed method the use of various online platforms to enhance engagement connecting library users to information. Findings revealed that differences in patterns of interactions as to platforms, types of queries, and users reveal that students, faculty, and other members of the academic community served by the library have various preferences for communication. The case study further showed that respondents have not maximized the use of VLS but interest in using both synchronous and asynchronous services is clear. Finding connections between sources of information, creating useful information patterns, is essential in learning. Amplifying awareness on the use of VLS giving emphasis to the unique features of each service is useful in order to enable students to see how this platform facilitates learning.

The case study house program has been researched as an example of residential architecture exhibition which represents the industrialized modernism influenced by europe architecture for having characteristics of modular system for mass production, technical experiments and universal space. This study analyzes the case study houses from a localized modernism point of view and defines the characteristics of them as various refracted site plan, intergrated interior and exterior space and various regional material use.

In this paper, the authors introduced a new approach to find the optimal collision avoidance maneuver considering multi threatening objects within short period, while satisfying constraints on the fuel limit and the acceptable collision probability. A preliminary effort in applying a genetic algorithm (GA) to those kinds of problems has also been demonstrated through a simulation study with a simple case problem and various fitness functions. And then, GA is applied to the complex case problem including multi-threatening objects. Two distinct collision avoidance maneuvers are dealt with: the first is in-track direction of collision avoidance maneuver. The second considers radial, in-track, cross-track direction maneuver. The results show that the first case violates the collision probability threshold, while the second case does not violate the threshold with satisfaction of all conditions. Various factors for analyzing and planning the optimal collision avoidance maneuver are also presented.
