Purpose: The purpose of this study is to provide researchers with a simplified approach to undertaking exploratory factor analysis for the assessment of construct validity. Methods: All articles published in 2010, 2011, and 2012 in Journal of Korean Academy of Nursing were reviewed and other relevant books and articles were chosen for the review. Results: In this paper, the following were discussed: preliminary analysis process of exploratory factor analysis to examine the sample size, distribution of measured variables, correlation coefficient, and results of KMO measure and Bartlett's test of sphericity. In addition, other areas to be considered in using factor analysis are discussed, including determination of the number of factors, the choice of rotation method or extraction method of the factor structure, and the interpretation of the factor loadings and explained variance. Conclusion: Content validity is the degree to which elements of an assessment instrument are relevant to and representative of the targeted construct for a particular assessment purpose. This measurement is difficult and challenging and takes a lot of time. Factor analysis is considered one of the strongest approaches to establishing construct validity and is the most commonly used method for establishing construct validity measured by an instrument.
This study aims to find the determining factors for apartment rental prices by using Stepwise Multiple Regression Analysis. In the process, differences among the groups and multicollinearity and correlation between the variables are examined using analysis of variance(ANOVA), correlation analysis and factor analysis. The comprehensive analysis of reliability of the variable and comprehensivization ensure objectivity. For this analysis, the characteristics of the determining factors for apartment rental prices by sub-regions in Seoul are as follows : First, the housing supply rate appears center of the central and the southwest region is influenced by the cultural and ecological environment, convenience, the size of the complex and reputation of the developer. Second, the northeast region is generally influenced by the regional economy, housing size, the density of the complex, well-known construction companies and relevant variables of individual housing and the density of the complex, physical and social environment, reputation of the developer, local economy and housing size. Lastly, the southeast region appears to be influenced by the local economy, the density of the complex, housing size and the educational environment.
The purpose of this study is to provide the basic data and their analysis to improve hospital foodservice by identifying patient satisfaction with different attributes of hospital foodservice and its influencing factors using self written survey on nine hundred fifteen hospitalized patients in 28 general hospitals in Seoul and Kungki area. The statistical analysis of data was done by SAS/WIN package(Version 6.11) to determine Descriptive Analysis, T-test, Analysis of Variance, Pearson's Correlation, and Factor Analysis. The summary of the study results is as follows : 1. Among sixteen food-service quality attributes, the most unsatisfying one was the meal itself, the provision of nutrition informations, the possibility of menu choices, immediate response on meal problems, and the taste of the meal. 2. There was a positive correlation between the general quality satisfaction and freshness, nutritional considerations, and the temperature of the dishes and trays, and variety of menu in food-service quality were also correlated positively. 3. Based on the result of statistical analysis on the expectation and recognition in hospital food-service quality attributes vs quality satisfaction, expectation was negatively correlated with quality satisfaction : however, recognition was positively correlated.
The purpose of this study was to categorize dietary lifestyles and analyze intake behavior regarding beverages according to lifestyles of 276 university students in Yeungnam region. Frequency analysis, factor analysis, cluster analysis, reliability analysis, one-way analysis of variance, and ${\chi}^2$ tests were conducted using SPSS V.21.0. In the factor analysis, dietary lifestyles were categorized into one of five factors: health-seeking type, popularity-seeking type, safety-seeking type, economy-seeking type and convenience-seeking type. According to cluster analysis, respondents were divided into four groups: convenience-seeking group, wellbeing-seeking group, popularity-seeking group, and indifference group. Chi-square tests showed that there were significant differences in gender, grade, dwelling status, and monthly allowance according to the four dietary lifestyle groups. The level of dietary habits and percentage of correct answers related to beverages of the wellbeing-seeking group were highest among the four groups. The frequency of beverage intake was significantly different for carbonated drinks, milk and dairy products, and sport drinks according to dietary lifestyle groups. In addition, for beverage preference, there were significant differences in carbonated drinks, sport drinks, tea and functional drinks according to dietary lifestyle groups.
The objective of this study was to use cluster analysis to determine differences in eating-out behavior among grouped clusters of female consumers after each cluster was divided based on lifestyle patterns. The data were collected by interview survey from a biased sample of 1,300 females, ranging from ages 20 to 59, and living in residential districts of Seoul. Reliability analysis, factor analysis, cluster analysis, cross-tabulation analysis, and analysis of variance (ANOVA) were applied to the data. Four lifestyle factors were extracted by lower-division and classified as follows: health condition, consuming, food, and housing lifestyles. Based on these four factors, the female consumers were grouped as three clusters: the consuming-individuality type, rational-pursuit type, and conservative-stability type. The eating-out behavior of each cluster was significantly different in terms of frequency of eating-out, eating-out expenditures, restaurant selection criteria, food preferences, and the purpose for eating-out. Since this study surveyed females from ages 20 to 59, age and demographics were the differential factors in determining the various lifestyle types. Thus, to target the consumers who form a target market, the food industry should consider market segmentation that combines demographic factors such as age, income, and marital status.

The fast progress on multimedia data acquisition technologies has enabled collecting vast amount of videos in real time. Although the amount of information gathered from these videos could be high in terms of quantity and quality, the use of the collected data is very limited typically by human-centric monitoring systems. In this paper, we propose a framework for analyzing long traffic video using series of content-based analyses tools. Our framework suggests a method to integrate theses analyses tools to extract highly informative features specific to a traffic video analysis. Our analytical framework provides (1) re-sampling tools for efficient and precise analysis, (2) foreground extraction methods for unbiased traffic flow analysis, (3) frame property analyses tools using variety of frame characteristics including brightness, entropy, Harris corners, and variance of traffic flow, and (4) a visualization tool that summarizes the entire video sequence and automatically highlight a collection of frames based on some metrics defined by semi-automated or fully automated techniques. Based on the proposed framework, we developed an automated traffic flow analysis system, and in our experiments, we show results from two example traffic videos taken from different monitoring angles.
This study analyzed of the themes (wounding and healing); concerning the Sandplay therapy process applied to children with emotional instability and attention deficit problems. The subjects of the study were 30 elementary school children who agreed to a personal-interview with the author. They all were families of receiving basic livelihood welfare living in the same county. After the preliminary analysis, the main study data collected from subjects was analyzed by variance (t-test), frequency analysis, and correlation analysis using the standard table modified in accordance with Mitchell's classification system. Particular attention was made in the analyses of the characteristics of the subjects as members of low-income families. As the Sandplay therapy proceeded, it became evident that the wounding area showed a low frequency while the healing area featured a high frequency, and confirmed (as in previous studies) that the Sandplay therapy would be effective for children with emotional instability as well as for those with attention deficit problems. The analysis of difference between the types of children with both problems revealed that Sandplay therapy was more effective for children with emotional instability than for those with attention deficit problems. The analysis also revealed that Sandplay therapy was more effective for girls than for boys.
The purpose of this study was to classify consumer's attitude at fashion store and analyze the relationship between emotional marketing and visual merchandising. Questionnaires were administered to 20-30 young consumers at fashion store in 20-30s who live in Seoul and Daegu. Data were analyzed by using frequency, factor analysis, reliability analysis, correlation analysis, regression analysis, multiple regression analysis, mediated regression analysis, analysis of variance, T-test, one way ANOVA. The results are as follows. First, emotional marketing had an effect on positive emotional response at fashion store. Second, visual merchandising had an effect on positive emotional response at fashion store. Third, emotional marketing and visual merchandising had an effect on positive relationship. Forth, positive emotional response had an effect on positive consumer's attitude. Lastly, emotional marketing and visual merchandising had an effect on positive consumer's attitude. The result of this study suggests to the fashion business that well managed various emotional response factor, positive emotional experience and desirable visual merchandising are necessary.
The genetic variances and combinding ability of some useful characters were analyzd on sixty four combinations in the 8$\times$8 diallel cross using the four Japanese races(Jam 107, Jam 113, Jam 117 and Jam 119) and the four Chinese races(Jam 108, Jam 114, Jam 118 and Jam 120). The eight quantitative characters were the total larval stage period(TP), the fifth larval instar period(FP), the female cocoon total weight(FW), the male cocoon total weight(MW), the female cocoon layer weight(FL), the male cocoon layer weight(ML), the female cocoon layer ratio(FR), and the male cocoon layer ratio(MR). The GCA, SCA and RCA were at a high significant level. Hl/D and (Hl/D)1/2 ere large. The heterosis were small minus. E and D were large. The r was in the positive direction, because the recessive genes were mainly expressed as a short rearing periods. The regressions of the characters were passed below 0 point, because the characters in the TP and the FP were appeared overdominant. The order of the dominance in the TP of the parents were in the order of Jam 119>Jam 113>Jam 117>Jam 108>Jam 120>Jam 114>Jam 107>Jam 118, and that in the FP of the parents were followed in the orders of Jam 117>Jam 113>Jam 108>Jam 114>Jam 119>Jam 107>Jam 120>Jam 118. Data modelling and interpretation for structural health monitoring (SHM) field data are critical for evaluating structural performance and quantifying the vulnerability of infrastructure systems. In order to improve the data modelling accuracy, and extend the application range from data regression analysis to out-of-sample forecasting analysis, an improved most likely heteroscedastic Gaussian process (iMLHGP) methodology is proposed in this study by the incorporation of the outof-sample forecasting algorithm. The proposed iMLHGP method overcomes this limitation of constant variance of Gaussian process (GP), and can be used for estimating non-stationary typhoon-induced response statistics with high volatility. The first attempt at performing data regression and forecasting analysis on structural responses using the proposed iMLHGP method has been presented by applying it to real-world filed SHM data from an instrumented cable-stay bridge during typhoon events. Uncertainty quantification and correlation analysis were also carried out to investigate the influence of typhoons on bridge strain data. Results show that the iMLHGP method has high accuracy in both regression and out-of-sample forecasting. The iMLHGP framework takes both data heteroscedasticity and accurate analytical processing of noise variance (replace with a point estimation on the most likely value) into account to avoid the intensive computational effort. According to uncertainty quantification and correlation analysis results, the uncertainties of strain measurements are affected by both traffic and wind speed. The overall change of bridge strain is affected by temperature, and the local fluctuation is greatly affected by wind speed in typhoon conditions.
