  • Individual effect of genes controlling quantitative traits can not ordinarily be distinguised from one another. Consequently, it is not possible to determine the mode of inheritance for single genes. By studying their combined effectsin segregating generations, however, one can gain some insight into their behavior and can make statistical inferences about their average gene action. The investigation reported herein was to extend genetic variance components and variance and covariance analyses, special attention was given to the genetic statistics from which least square estimators of genetic parameters are obtained.

  • The asymptotic distribution of residual autocorrelation functions from a generalized p-order random coefficient autoregressive process (GRCA(p)) is derived. To this end, we first describe the GRCA(p) models and then consider the normalised residuals after fitting the model. This result can be applied to the residual analysis for the diagonostic purpose.

A Study for the Perception and Management Behaviors on Credit Cards According to the Shopping Value Types of College Students (대학생의 쇼핑가치에 따른 신용카드인식 및 신용카드관리행동에 관한 연구)

  • The first purpose of this study was to reveal the types of shopping value of college students. The second purpose was to examine the change in the perception and management behaviors related to credit cards according to the types of shopping value. The third purpose was to examine the effects of shopping value on perception and management behaviors on credit cards. The data were collected from 392 college students in Seoul by a self-administered questionnaire. Analyses including frequency, mean, factor analysis, Cronbach's alpha, Pearson's correlation analysis, Crosstabulation analysis, analysis of variance, K-means Cluster analysis and Multiple linear regression were conducted using SPSS WIN12.0. The major findings were as follows. First, college students can be categorized into 3 types of shopping values by K-means Cluster analysis of 14 items. The groups were entitled the hedonistic shopping value, the utilitarian shopping value, and the saving shopping value. Second, positive perception and management behaviors related to credit cards were different depending on the types of shopping value. The hedonistic shopping value group had a higher level of positive perception of credit cards and a lower level of credit card management, compared with the other groups. The saving shopping value group had higher levels of both positive perception and management of credit cards. Among the three groups, the utilitarian shopping group had the lowest level of positive perception of credit cards, despite having ahigher level of credit card management. Lastly, the most effective variance on credit card management was the utilitarian shopping value. These results suggest that a healthy shopping value is very important for having a healthy perception and management of credit cards, because shopping value is a critical variance to affect perception and management of credit cards.

The Change Point Analysis in Time Series Models

  • We consider the problem of testing for parameter changes in time series models based on a cusum test. Although the test procedure is well-established for the mean and variance in time series models, a general parameter case has not been discussed in the literature. Therefore, here we develop a cusum test for parameter change in a more general framework. As an example, we consider the change of the parameters in an RCA(1) model and that of the autocovariances of a linear process. We also consider the variance change test for unstable models with unit roots and GARCH models.

This Effect of Eco-friendly Agricultural Product Selection Criteria on the Degree of Consumer Trust and Recommendation Intention (친환경 농산물의 선택결정요인이 소비자신뢰와 추천의도에 미치는 영향)

  • This study examined the factors that affect the relationship between eco-friendly agricultural products selection criteria, consumer trust, and recommendation intention. A total of 220 questionnaires were distributed to consumers, of which 210 were deemed suitable for analysis after the removal of 10 unusable responses. In order to perform statistical analyses required in the study, SPSS 18.0 Statistical Program was employed for frequency analysis, factor analysis, reliability analysis, correlations, and regression analysis. The results of exploratory factor analysis showed that four factors regarding eco-friendly agricultural products were extracted from all measurements with a KMO of 0.735 and a total cumulative variance of 79.373%, With regard to consumer trust, one factor was extracted with a total cumulative variance of 75.431% and a KMO score of 0.695. One factor for recommendation intention was extracted that accounted for a total cumulative variance of 68.428% and a KMO score of 0.694. All factors were significant to .000 and the correlation between variables was significant. Thus, based on the results, the main research hypotheses that identify the relationships between selection criteria, consumer trust and recommendation retention were adopted.

The Impact of Environmental Factors on Conflict and Contract Intention in Chinese Franchise (중식 프랜차이즈의 환경요인이 갈등과 재계약의도에 미치는 영향)

  • This study examined to verify the influence of environmental factors on conflict and contract intention as perceived by Chinese franchise restaurants, Conflict and Contract Intention. A total of 210 questionnaires were distributed to the consumers and 200 were deemed suitable for analysis after the removal of 10 unusable responses. SPSS 18.0 Statistical Program was employed for frequency analysis, factor analysis, and reliability analysis, correlations, and regression analysis. The results of exploratory factor analysis showed that three factors regarding Chinese franchise environmental factors were extracted from all measurements with KMO of 0.783, and total cumulative variance of 68.853%. In addition, three factors were extracted for regarding conflict with 61.313% of total cumulative variance and 0.763 KMO score. Contract intention was extracted that accounted for total cumulative variance of 63.453% and KMO score of 0.763. All factors were significantly correlated among the variables (p<0.001). Based on the results, thus, the main research hypothesis identifies the relationships among environmental factors, conflict, contract intention. These results can contribute to consider the importance of environmental elements for reducing the conflict and improving the contract intention in context of franchise chinese restaurant.

The Effects Attributes of Dessert Cafe Selection on Relationship Quality and Behavioral Intentions (디저트 카페 선택속성이 관계의 질, 행동의도에 미치는 영향)

  • This study examined the factors that affect the relationship between dessert cafe customer attribute election, relationship quality and behavioral intention. A total of 260 questionnaires were distributed to consumers, of which 250 were deemed suitable for analysis after the removal of 10 unusable responses. In order to perform statistical analyses required by the study, the SPSS 18.0 Statistical Program was employed for frequency analysis, factor analysis, reliability analysis, correlation, and regression analysis. The results of the exploratory factor analysis showed that three factors regarding attributes selection were extracted from all measurements with a KMO of 0.757 and a total cumulative variance of 67.885%, With regard to relationship quality, three factors were extracted with a total cumulative variance of 76.070% and a KMO score of 0.715. One factor for behavioral intention was extracted that accounted for a total cumulative variance of 66.254% and a KMO score of 0.771. All factors were significant to 0.000 and the correlation between variables was significant. Thus, based on the results, the main research hypothesis that identifies the relationships attributes selection between relationship quality and behavioral intention was partially adopted.

A total of 225 questionnaires were distributed to consumers, of which 210 were deemed suitable for analysis after the removal of 15 unusable responses. In order to perform statistical analyses required in the study, the SPSS 18.0 Statistical Program was used for frequency analysis, factor analysis, and reliability analysis, correlations, and regression analysis. The results of exploratory factor analysis showed that four factors regarding service quality were extracted from all measurements with a KMO of 0.864 and a total cumulative variance of 73.235%, With regard to brand image, one factor was extracted with a total cumulative variance of 66.497% and a KMO score of 0.885. One factor for revisit intention was extracted that accounted for a total cumulative variance of 60.192% and a KMO score of 0.845. All factors were significant to 0.000 and the correlation between variables was significant. Thus, based on the results, the main research hypothesis that identifies the relationship among service quality, brand image and revisit intention was partially adopted.

School Safety Education Factors Predicting Injury Prevalence Among Korean Adolescence (학교의 안전교육 관련 특성이 청소년의 사고발생 예측에 미치는 영향)

  • Injury is a leading cause of death in the children and adolescent populations. In particular, more than 80% of unintentional injury was related to risk-taking behaviors involved in diverse accidents around school and home. Therefore, educational approaches should be provided for children and adolescent populations, and schools are the essential and appropriate sites to conduct safety education. This study was conducted to identify injury prevalence and safety education at schools among middle and high school students in Korea. About 1,034 middle and high students in 28 schools participated in a self-administered survey. The target schools were selected from the stratified random sampling method throughout schools of seven metropolitan cities in Korea. The questionnaires were delivered to the vice-principals by ground mailing service and the vice-principals administered survey data collection. The questionnaire asked about safety education provided in schools, injury experience in the last year, needs for injury prevention class in school, and demographics. All survey responses were entered into SPSS worksheet. Multivariate analysis of variance (MANOVA) and descriptive discriminant analysis (DDA) were used in statistical analysis with SPSS software 11.1. Multivariate analysis of variance was conducted as a preliminary analysis of DDA. According to the result of multivariate analysis of variance, gender (man), grade (poor), living with both parents, and displaying injury prevention messages on school news board were significantly different between the injured student group and the uninjured student group (p= .00). These four factors also had significant effects on students' injury experience in DDA, although correlation of the four factors with injury experience was weak overall based on their canonical function coefficients. All structure coefficients of the four factors were greater than .30, which means the four factors have discriminant effects on injury prevalence. The sizes of the discriminant effects, in order, were largly from gender, grade, living with both parents, and safety message display on school news boards.
