  • The paper is proposed high performance control of induction motor drive with adaptive fuzzy logic controller(AFLC). Also, this paper is proposed speed control of induction motor using AFLC and estimation of speed using artificial neural network(ANN) controller. The back propagation neural network technique is used to provide a real time adaptive estimation of the motor speed. The error between the desired state variable and the actual one is back-propagated to adjust the rotor speed, so that the actual state variable will coincide with the desired one. The proposed control algorithm is applied to induction motor drive system controlled AFLC and ANN controller. And this paper is proposed the results to verify the effectiveness of the AFLC and ANN controller.

  • This paper presented the notch effect of interior permanent magnet motor(IPM) with compound variable number of pole and slot. The selection of proper pole and slot which makes characteristic and efficiency of motor is very important on motor design. The motor which has 6pole and 9slot is at base. This paper is choose the 4pole 6slot motor which has 2:3 ratio then analyzed the characteristic.

  • This paper is proposed a fuzzy neural network controller based on the vector controlled induction motor drive system. The hybrid combination of fuzzy control and neural network will produce a powerful representation flexibility and numerical processing capability. Also, this paper is proposed estimation and control of speed of induction motor using ANN Controller. The back propagation neural network technique is used to provide a real time adaptive estimation of the motor speed. The error between the desired state variable and the actual one is back-propagated to adjust the rotor speed, so that the actual state variable will coincide with the desired one. The back propagation mechanism is easy to derive and the estimated speed tracks precisely the actual motor speed. This paper is proposed the theoretical analysis as well as the simulation results to verify the effectiveness of the new method.

  • The linearized models on per for mance dynamics of the pulse motor have been already proposed by many others. These models exhibit certain advantages of their own because of their simple formulation, but in many cases the models are proved to be inadequate for further accurate analysis of the motor dynamics, owing to impractical and rather rough assumptions in the derivation. In this study a dynamic state transition model is induced, using the equivalent circuit obtained from the operating principle of the variable reluctance pulse motor which turns out to be nonlinear equation. This nonlinear dynamic state equation is numerically analysed by the use of UNIVAC System/3(OS/3) digital computer at hand. In the course of the dynamic analysis of the performance characteristics of a testing motor, dependance of the inertia of rotor and load, the coefficient of viscous friction between rotor and housing, and the winding resistance of the stator is discussed and a comparative study of the machine constants is carried on as related to the design problem of the motor.

  • A low-cost BLDC motor with hall sensor is used to drive the position control of a facility security monitoring system in this paper. Low measurable frequency of the hall sensor signal in low-speed regions results in difficulty in obtaining accurate speed detection and position control. To improve system control performance, we propose a variable gain of position controller and stop mode control scheme according to the motor speed and error position with pre-set deceleration time. The proposed stop mode control scheme is activated around the stop position to forcibly move the BLDC motor to the stop position in low speed. In the proposed stop mode, the motor current is controlled by the actual speed with the reference rotating angle. The control performance of the proposed position control is verified through experiments at the actual rail guided facility security monitoring system.

  • 교류 전동기의 가변속 구동에 있어서, 가변전압, 가변주파수 방식의 PWN 인버터가 널리 사용되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 3상 PWN 인버터의 출력 파형에 있어서 특정고조파제거를 위한 방법이 소개되며 그 타당성을 입증하기 위해 실험결과는 시뮬레이션 결과와 비교·검토된다. 제안된 PWN 방식은 유도 전동기뿐만 아니라 전압 조정기, UPS 등에도 사용 가능하다.

  • 본 논문에서는 속도 제어를 위한 가변자속 메모리 모터(Variable Flux Memory Motor)의 특성과 감자전류 산정에 대하여 다루었다. 서론에서는 VFMM에 대한 특징 및 설계를 위한 분석 방안을 제시하였으며, 메모리모터의 동작 원리와, 정밀한 해석 방법은 본론을 통하여 자세히 다루었다. 감자전류는 프라이자흐 모델을 이용하여 초기 자석의 자화량을 비선형 적으로 구한 후 인가된 d축 전류에 따른 변화된 자화량 및 기전력 값들을 반복적인 연산을 통하여 신뢰성 있는 감자전류를 산정하였다.

Control of Variable Reluctance Motors: A Comparison between Classical and Lyapunov-Based Fuzzy Schemes

  • In this paper, two approaches for designing tracking controllers for a variable reluctance motor (VRM), namely the Lyapunov-based fuzzy approach and the classical approach, are compared. The nonlinear model of a VRM is first addressed. The two control schemes are introduced afterwards, and then applied to obtain tracking controllers. Simulation results of a sample case, to which the methods are applied, are also presented. Comparison of the methods based on the results obtained concludes the paper.

Effective and Reliable Speed Control of Permanent Magnet DC (PMDC) Motor under Variable Loads

  • This paper presents the effective and reliable speed control of PMDC motors under variable loads and reference speeds. As is known DC motors are more preferred in industrial practices. This is that, the PMDC motors don’t require brush and commutator care and to increase in torque per motor depending on developments in power electronics. In this study, proportional-integral controller (PI) and fuzzy logic controller (FL) have been designed for speed control of PMDC motor. In the design of these controllers, characteristics such as minimum overrun time, response time to the load, settling time and ideal rise time have been taken into consideration for better stability performance. In this design, the best system response was searched by examining the effect of different defuzzification methods onto the fuzzy logic system response. In conclusion, it has been seen that FL controller has a better performance for variable speed-load control of PMDC motor compared to PI controller.

ANN에 의한 유도전동기의 회전자 저항 추정 (Rotor Resistance Estimation of Induction Motor by ANN)

  • 본 논문은 드라이브의 간적벡터제어에서 ANN을 이용하여 유도전동기의 회전자 저항을 온라인 추정하기 위한 새로운 기법을 제시한다. 약전파 알고리즘은 신경회로망의 학습을 위해 사용된다. 신경회로망의 실제 상태값과 유도전동기의 요구값 사이의 오차는 신경회로망 모델의 하중값 조절을 위하여 역전파 하여 실제값이 요구값을 추정하도록 한다. 드라이브의 회전자 저항, 토크, 자속응답 성능등 이러한 추정기의 성능은 고유값으로부터 회전자 저항을 연구하게 된다. 회전자 저항은 유도전동기 드라이브의 벡터제어에서 제시된 ANN을 사용하여 추정한다.
