  • This study has been carried out to develop a thermo-diode system capable of adjusting heat flow direction, solar absorptivity and thermal capacity. What we call "Smart Module" here has emerged from a series of repeated processes involving design, construction and test. In all, it is found that liquid thermo-diode systems are viable in harnessing the sun's energy. The module can be applied for space heating in winter and reduce the cooling load of buildings in summer.

  • Even though the variable pitch control of a wind turbine blade is known as an effective component for power control over the rated wind speed, it has limited applicability to small wind turbines because of its relatively high cost on the price of small wind turbine. Instead, stall control is generally applied in the blade design without any additional cost. However, stall delay can frequently be caused by high turbulence around the turbine blade, and it can produce control failures through excessive rotational speed and overpowering the electrical generator. Therefore, a passive pitch control module should be considered, where the pitch moves with the aerodynamic forces of the blade and returns by the elastic restoring force. In this study, a method to calculate the pitch moment, torque, and thrust based on the lift and drag of the rotating blade wing was demonstrated, and several effective wing shapes were reviewed based on these forces. Their characteristics will be estimated with variable wind speed and be utilized as basic data for the design of the passive pitch control module.

  • This paper is implemented media transmission system of VLC transmitter and receiver module using LED of White lighting that is based on PC module and to transmission technology for performance analysis. To realize LED visible light communication receiver is used 1~12 LED light-emitting device and transmitter is used a variable sensor. Developed initial distance of the tranceiver is more than 0~1m for LED VLC and the overall system transmission speed is achieved on variable having Visible light media transmission system. Composition to PC module with LED module and infrared sensor for performance analysis, predict and analyze the communication distance, check about the possibility of application methods. Measure each performance when the lens wearing and not wearing in order to increase the overall efficiency of the LED module, can know that increase efficiency of approximately 20%.

  • In this paper, design and implementation of multi-modular robots of similar structure to the arthropods for rock path driving. Each module corresponds to an arthropod joint, which has an independent power supply and control equipment including drive and short-range Zigbee wireless communication that were implemented. On various directions and paths each module has the same driving direction and each module is controlled to operate or not by wireless communication. Depending on path condition, each module calculate the speed and torque and depending on the slope of a rough path, the number of active modules can be changed for the efficient driving on a variety of roads conditions. Experimental driving through rough road model, variable multi-module robot is implemented.

  • Through high level synthesis, designers can obtain the precious information on the area and speed trade-offs as well as synthesized datapaths from behavioral design descriptions. While previous researches were concentrated on the synthesis of pipelined, datapaths with fixed DII (Data Initiation Interval) by inserting delay elements where needed, we propose a novel methodology of synthesizing pipeline structures with variable DIIs. Determining the time-overlapping of pipeline stages with variable DIIs, the proosed algorithm performs scheduling and module allocation using the time-overlapping information. Experimental results show that significant improvement can be achieved both in speed and in area.

  • An automatic observation system has been constructed at Chungbuk National University for the purpose of monitoring the bright and long period variable stars effectively. We improved the control part of 40cm telescope of the LX200 and developed n observing software ObsTool II so that the telescope, CCD camera and dome can be controlled in one software. ObsTool II is a COM (Common Object Module) based software, which can be easily reprogrammed in case that a new telescope or CCD camera is installed. Because this system has an additional function in which the telescope can switch the variable, comparison, and check stars respectively as like a photoelectric observation, we can observe the variable star even if the CCD view field does not contain the comparison star with the variable star. In order to check the system stability a W UMa type variable V523 Cas and a magnetic cataclysmic variable TT Ari have been observed with the constructed system and the results have been discussed in context with the possibility of a further application of our automatical observation system.

  • In this study, used Trnsys and will apply metropolitan city distinguishes, fixations and BIPV systems the photovoltaic module arrangement environment which receives solar radiation quantity plentifully from the case design process which and most the outcome value simulation did analyzed. The climate data uses each metropolitan city distinguishes 20 average weather data, With measured values of horizontal solar radiation. The error scope appeared with 0.1%~6.7%. Variable of module arrangement Azimuth and angle of inclination of module and comparison group Module on due south direction angle of inclination $45^{\circ}$ day time set with the yearly average solar radiation quantity which receives. The result When the case comparison group which arranges a solar storehouse module with optimum environment and comparing until the minimum 1.4% - maximum 10.9% the solar radiation quantity difference appears with the thing, metropolitan city distinguishes considers the case solar radiation quantity which will arrange a photovoltaic module and that must establish with optimum environment judges.

  • Recently, building energy systems with solar collector and solar module have increased to improve energy problem, a heat island, a global warming and carbon dioxide emissions. In this study, value of solar radiation in areas was analyzed using TRNSYS simulation, and the optimum tilt and orientation angle for installing a photovoltaic module was examined. Average values of the weather data in the past twenty years in areas were used as input data. The results show that the tilt angle of a photovoltaic module for gaining the annual maximum solar radiation varies in different localities, and values of the annual solar radiation gained by using the variable photovoltaic module increased by 2.5 percent as compared with that gained by using the fixed photovoltaic module. When fixed photovoltaic module is installed, it should be examined the tilt and orientation angle for installing a photovoltaic module was examined.

  • The manufacturing process of the resistive variable memory device, which is the based of neuromorphic device, maintained the continuity of vacuum process and applied plasma module suitable for the production of the ReRAM(resistive random access memory) and process technology for the neuromorphic computing, which ensures high integrated and high reliability. The ReRAM device of the oxide thin-film applied to the plasma module was fabricated, and research to improve the properties of the device was conducted through various experiments through changes in materials and process methods. ReRAM device based on TiO2/TiOx of oxide thin-film using plasma module was completed. Crystallinity measured by XRD rutile, HRS:LRS current value is 2.99 × 103 ratio or higher, driving voltage was measured using a semiconductor parameter, and it was confirmed that it can be driven at low voltage of 0.3 V or less. It was possible to fabricate a neuromorphic ReRAM device using oxygen gas in a previously developed plasma module, and TiOx thin-films were deposited to confirm performance.
