동적모델 해석에 의한 밸브기구 성능개선에 관한 연구 (A study on improving valve train performance by a dynamic model analysis)

  • 본 논문에서는 우선 실제의 밸브기구를 잘 묘사하고, 감도해석을 적용하기 쉬 운 5자유도의 집중질량 모델을 만들었다. 그리고, 그 모델로부터 얻어지는 밸브양정 을 밸브기구의 고유값 및 고유벡터의 항으로 표시하고, 그것을 설계변수(모델에 포함 되어지는 질량, 강성계수)에 대하여 미분하여 밸브양정의 감도를 구하였다. 그리하 여, 밸브양정에 대한 설계변수들의 영향이 어느정도 되는가를 정량적으로 계산하였다.

  • In this paper, the relation between displacement of piezoelectric material and electric field was proposed. FEA was introduced to predict the displacement and reaction force of plate spring attached in the piezoelectric material. The relation between displacement of piezoelectric material forced by plate spring and applied electric field were further verified by experimental investigation. Also, the flow rate of gas in piezoelectric valve was examined by experiment. Finally, the relation between electric field and gas flow was derived. Based on these results, these relations can be used in the design of mass flow controller.

Effects of the Lift Valve Opening Area on Water Hammer Pump Performance and Flow Behavior in the Valve Chamber

  • Water hammer pumps can effectively use the water hammer phenomenon for water pumping. They are capable of providing an effective fluid transport method in regions without a well-developed social infrastructure. The results of experiments examining the effect of the geometric form of water hammer pumps by considering their major dimensions have been reported. However, these conventional studies have not fully evaluated pump performance in terms of pump head and flow rate, common measures of pump performance. The authors have focused on the effects on the pump performance of various geometric form factors in water hammer pumps. The previous study examined how the hydrodynamic characteristics was affected by the inner diameter ratio of the drive and lift pipes and the angle of the drive pipe, basic form factors of water hammer pumps. The previous papers also showed that the behavior of water hammer pump operation could be divided into four characteristic phases. The behavior of temporal changes in valve chamber and air chamber pressures according to the air volume in the air chamber located downstream of the lift valve was also clarified in connection with changes in water hammer pump performance. In addition, the effects on water hammer pump performance of the length of the spring attached to the drain valve and the drain pipe angle, form factors around the drain valve, were examined experimentally. This study focuses on the form of the lift valve, a major component of water hammer pumps, and examines the effects of the size of the lift valve opening area on water hammer pump performance. It also clarifies the behavior of flow in the valve chamber during water hammer pump operation.

PCV 밸브의 스풀 동적거동에 따른 내부유동 특성에 관한 연구 (A STUDY ON INTERNAL FLOW CHARACTERISTICS OF PCV VALVE ACCORDING TO SPOOL DYNAMIC BEHAVIOR)

  • A PCV valve is a part to control the flow rate of Blowby gas in a PCV system. A PCV system re-burns Blowby gas with fuel in a combustion chamber. Some gas enters to a crankcase room through the gap between piston ring and engine cylinder wall. This gas si called 'Blowby gas'. This gas causes many problems. In environmental view, Blowby gas includes about $25\~35\%$ hydrocarbon{HC) of total generated HC in an automobile. Hydrocarbon is a very harmful pollutant element in our life. In mechanical view, Blowby gas has some reaction with lubricant oil of crankcase room. Then, this causes lubricant oil contamination, crankcase corrosion and a decrease fo engine efficiency. Consequently, Blowby gas must be eliminated from a crankcase room. In this study, we simulated internal flow characteristics in a PCV valve according to spool dynamic behavior using local remeshing method And, we programmed our sub routine to simulate a spool dynamic motion. As results, spool dynamic behavior is periodically oscillated by the relationship between fluid force and elastic force of spring. And its magnitude is linearly increased by the differential pressure between inlet and outlet. Also, as spool is largely moved, flow area is suddenly decreased at orifice. For this reason, flow velocity is rapidly decreased by viscous effect.

과도시간 감소를 위한 전자기 엔진밸브 액츄에이터 형상 최적 설계 (Design Optimization of Linear Actuator for Fast Response of Electromagnetic Engine Valve)

  • 솔레노이드 전자기 엔진 밸브 액츄에이터는 현재의 내연 연소 엔진의 가변 밸브 타이밍에 가장 적합하고 진보된 장치이다. 하지만 솔레노이드 전자기 액츄에이터는 전력소모가 크다는 단점을 가지고 있다. 따라서 전력소모가 작은 가변 밸브 타이밍을 구현하기 위해 영구자석을 활용한 새로운 전자기 엔진 밸브 액츄에이터를 제안한다. 이 연구에서는 엔진 밸브의 과도운동 시간의 최소화를 통해 엔진의 속도를 극대화하기 위하여 새롭게 제안한 액츄에이터의 형상을 최적 설계하였다. 최적화를 위해 유전자 알고리즘을 사용하고 Matlab과 Maxwell을 활용하여 전역 최적화 시뮬레이션을 수행하였다.

  • The optimization of back pressure chamber is one of the most important factors in designing scroll compressors, because it has a great influence on the efficiencies and other design parameters. The design process can be divided into 2 parts. One is obtaining the optimum pressure of the chamber and keeping it in constant value. And the other is finding out the minimum inflow rate of medium with which back pressure chamber is filled. In this study we are focused on the first step. At first we added a simple structure that could change back pressure without reassembling compressor. It makes the optimum back pressure be obtained. And then we devised an equipment that the back pressure control valve assembly could be independently tested with. A spring was redesigned to decrease stiffness variation. And sealing mechanism of back pressure control valve was improved to more effective way. As a result it was verified in a real mode test that back pressure variation could be stabilized within 2.3% when discharge pressure and operating frequency varied. And the integrated structure of back pressure control valve is expected to contribute to an effective manufacturing process.

메타모델을 이용한 압력방출밸브의 구조안전성 예측 (Prediction of the Structural Safety of a Relief Valve Using Metamodel)

  • 압력방출밸브는 높은 압력을 조절하여 안정성을 유지하는 기계적 요소로, 압력용기, 증발기, 파이프라인 등 사용되고 있다. 높은 압력이 발생되면 스프링의 탄성력을 사용하여 압력방출밸브의 출구로 유체를 흘려보냄으로써 압력을 낮추게 되고, 정상적인 압력으로 돌아오게 되면 압력방출밸브는 초기상태로 돌아가게 된다. 압력방출밸브는 순조롭게 작동되어지기 위하여 요구되는 구조적 안정성을 만족하도록 설계되어져야한다. 본 연구에서는 상업용 소프트웨어 ANSYS/WORKBENCH를 사용하여 압력방출밸브의 유동해석과 구조해석을 수행한 결과 구조적 문제를 발생시킨다는 것을 알 수 있었다. 따라서 구조적 안전성을 만족하는 설계를 수행하고, 설계변수에 따른 구조적 안전성을 예측해보고자 한다.

산화제 개폐밸브의 극저온 유동시험에서 채터링의 고찰 (A Study on the Chattering under Cryogenic Flow Test of a Oxidizer Shutoff Valve)

  • 가스발생기용 산화제 개폐밸브는 파일롯 공압으로 포핏을 열고 스프링 힘에 의해 닫음으로써 로켓엔진의 추진제 유량을 제어한다. 현재 개발 중인 산화제 개폐밸브는 액추에이터에서 압력을 제거하면 닫히도록 설계되어 있다. 그러므로 밸브의 성능을 평가하기 위해 밸브가 열리고 닫히는 특성에 따라 힘 평형 상태를 분석할 필요가 있다. 밸브가 닫히기 시작하는 시점의 작동 유체의 압력을 결정하고, 포핏이 열리는 시점의 압력을 결정되어 힘평형이 설계되어 있다. 인증시험 수준에서의 극저온 유동 시험 하에서 채터링 현상은 금속 기밀부에서 다량의 누설이 발생했다. 힘평형 계산을 이용한 산화제 밸브의 채터링이 발생된 시점의 압력은 약 11 bar로 예측 된다.

  • This paper presents dynamic modeling and control analysis of a military vehicle suspension featuring MR valve structure. Firstly, the dynamic model of the suspension system which is included gas spring, MR valve and gas chamber is established with respect to the disturbance. Secondly, the friction model of the suspension system is derived by considering experiment result of the MR suspension system. And then, response characteristics of the damping force with respect to the magnetic field and friction force with the proposed friction model are provided to show the feasibility of practical application. In addition, control performance of the proposed MR suspension system is evaluated with quarter vehicle.
