일간승무계획문제의 정수계획해법 (An Integer Programming Approach to the Problem of Daily Crew Scheduling)

  • This paper considers the problem of subway crew scheduling. Crew scheduling is concerned with finding a minimum number of assignments of crews to a given timetable satisfying various restrictions. Traditionally, crew scheduling problem has been formulated as a set covering or set partitioning problem possessing exponentially many variables, but even the LP relaxation of the problem is hard to solve due to the exponential number of variables. In this paper, we propose two basic techniques that solve the problem in a reasonable time, though the optimality of the solution is not guaranteed. To reduce the number of variables, we adopt column-generation technique. We could develop an algorithm that solves column-generation problem in polynomial time. In addition, the integrality of the solution is accomplished by variable-fixing technique. Computational results show column-generation makes the problem of treatable size, and variable fixing enables us to solve LP relaxation in shorter time without a considerable increase in the optimal value. Finally, we were able to obtain an integer optimal solution of a real instance within a reasonable time.

  • In this paper, we apply the generalized quasilinearization technique to a forced Duffing equation with three-point mixed nonlinear nonlocal boundary conditions and obtain sequences of upper and lower solutions converging monotonically and quadratically to the unique solution of the problem.

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the children's adjustment according to the their problems and problem solving pattern in single mother. The data of this study were abtained from 186 children of single-mother. For analysis of data, Factor analysis, t-test, One-way ANOVA, pearson's correlation, Multiple regression were used The results are as follows; 1. The children's problem are composed seven factors that are house life, emotion, school life, peer-relationships, academic achievement, finicial, future life. The family structural variables to have relationship with the children's problem are age, sex, father's absence reason, SES, mother postering attitude. 2. The mean value of children's problem solving pattern such as seeking religion support and passive appraisal was highest. The children's problem solving pattern were affected by mother's fostering attitude. 3. The inadequacy among children in single-mother was related to mother fostering attitude after father's loss, children's problem and children's problem solving pattern that emphasizes the interdependence of each element in this children's adjustment network.

Investment Scheduling of Maximizing Net Present Value of Dividend with Reinvestment Allowed

  • This paper deals with an investment scheduling problem of maximizing net present value of dividend with reinvestment allowed, where each investment has certain capital requirement and generates deterministic profit. Such deterministic profit is calculated at completion of each investment and then allocated into two parts, including dividend and reinvestment, at each predetermined reinvestment time point. The objective is to make optimal scheduling of investments over a fixed planning horizon which maximizes total sum of the net present values of dividends subject to investment precedence relations and capital limit but with reinvestment allowed. In the analysis, the scheduling problem is transformed to a kind of parallel machine scheduling problem and formulated as an integer programming which is proven to be NP-complete. Thereupon, a depth-first branch-and-bound algorithm is derived. To test the effectiveness and efficiency of the derived algorithm, computational experiments are performed with some numerical instances. The experimental results show that the algorithm solves the problem relatively faster than the commercial software package (CPLEX 8.1), and optimally solves the instances with up to 30 investments within a reasonable time limit.

  • 우리는 컨텐츠 복제방지를 위하여 기존의 SVD와 DWT/RDWT를 결합한 워터마킹 시스템에 특이벡터를 추가로 사용하는 방안을 제안하였다. 우리는 SVD를 사용하는 워터마킹 시스템에 존재하는 오류긍정문제(false-positive problem)를 극복하기 위하여 기존의 SVD기반 알고리즘과 같이 특이값에 워트마크를 임베딩할 뿐만 아니라, 커버이미지의 첫 번째 좌/우 특이벡터를 워터마크 이미지의 첫번째 좌/우 특이벡터와 교체하였다. 제안 방안은 오류긍정문제 (false-positive problem)가 발생하지 않는 워터마킹 시스템을 구현할 수 있었으며, 기존의 오류긍정문제가 없는 시스템과 비교하여 우수한 충실성과 강인성을 보여 주었을 뿐만 아니라, 오류긍정문제가 발생하는 시스템에 비해서도 크게 성능차이가 나지 않음을 보여 주었다.
