Demand for new information services is ever increasing as information technology advances in an unprecedented pace. Capabilities of information technology to overcome the time and space limitations enables efficient storage and processing of a large volume of data shared by many users in geographically dispersed areas. As the users ask for more useful information services, it is necessary to develop information services tp meet the needs of users. Enhancing information services is also necessary to cope actively with the pressures to open the information service is also necessary to cope actively with the pressures to open the information and telecommunications market as the level of Korean information services industry is still in its infancy. Value Added Network(VAN) services have a tremendous growth potential and its economic and social impact would be great as the information society matures. This study suggests a direction for the development of value added and new-media services based on the survey of individual and business users of information services.

현재 오프라인 신용카드가맹점에서의 신용카드 결제 시에 사용되는 결제 시스템은 신용카드 결제 단말기, 결제 중계 서비스를 하는 VAN사 그리고 신용카드사로 구성되어 있다. 신용카드사 장애 시에는 결제중계 서비스 VAN사가 승인 대행을 하여 처리하나, 결제 중계 서비스 VAN사 장애 시에는 신용카드 결제서비스가 원활하게 이루어지지 않는다. 본 논문은 결제 중계 서비스를 하는 VAN사의장애 시에 신용카드 결제 단말기가 전문변환 Agent를 이용하여, 다른 서비스 VAN사에서 결제 중계 서비스를 받을 수 있도록 하는 신용카드 결제 시스템을 구현하였다.

Many enterprises are performing the effective database applications with VAN(Value Added Network) or WAN(Web Added Network) . But it is very difficult and expensive. So we suggest low-cost database system within long distance area through personal computers. This system is very powerful for flexibility. It may be estimated it's value highly because they develop the program without high programming skill. This study would be used between company with company and/or between branch with branch, for example, customer claim information, inventory information, product order etc. It is important not importing document but importing data in document. Then end-user can accomplish analysis and decision-making with their own database. It would enhance productivity in many enterprises.

EDI를 이용한 전자문서 처리는 별도의 전용 소프트웨어와 부가가치망을 이용해 문서를 교환하게 되는데, 전용 소프트웨어의 사용은 새로운 문서에 대한 변경이 필요하며, 부가가치망의 사용은 문서교환과 유지보수에 많은 비용이 소요된다. 이러한 문제점 때문에 VAN 기반의 기존 EDI가 웹기반의 EDI로 옮겨지고 있다. 본 논문에서는 JDBC 브리지를 이용하여 두개의 관계형 데이터베이스에 존재하는 EDI 메시지를 XML로 변환하는 기법을 제안한다. 변환된 XML 파일을 사용하여 스키마를 그대고 복구하는 동시에 정의된 테이블에 원래 레코드를 그대로 삽입하는 방범을 제시하였다. 이는 동일한 데이터베이스 관리시스템을 사용해야 한다는 전제조건을 필요로 했던 기존방식을 탈피했으며, 전자문서 교환시 환경에 따라 정상적으로 동작하지 않았던 경우의 문제점을 극복했다.

VAN 시스템에서 운영되는 소프트웨어는 개발이 완료한 후에도 업체들의 다양한 요구 사항을 수용해야한다. 소프트웨어 개발 초기에 갖추어진 개발문서들은 오랜 유지보수 기간이 지나면 초기 개발의 내용과 많은 부분이 다르다. 이때 개발자가 각 각의 요구사항을 수용할 때 경험을 토대로 수정하기 때문에 개발문서가 정확하게 반영되지 않는다. 이러한 경우에 개발문서는 그 역할을 수행하지 못하므로 소스 코드에 의지 할 수밖에 없다. 또한 절차식 언어로 개발된 소프트웨어의 경우는 유지보수가 더 어렵다. 절차식 언어를 객체지향 언어로 변경한다면 유지보수성이 높아 질 것이다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 문제를 해결하기 위해 역공학을 이용하여 기존의 절차식 언어를 객체 지향 언어로 변경하기 위한 과정을 제안한다.

최근에 정보네트워크 사용자의 급증에 따라 DDS(Distributed Database System)는 VAN(Value Added Network)상에서 구현되었다. DDS는 지역적으로 분산된 작업환경에서 중앙집중식 데이터베이스 구축보다 여러 측면에서 장점이 있으나 불합리한 설계는 컴퓨터 및 네트워크 자원의 비효율적 사용에 의한 비용의 증가와 데이터 유지를 위한 복잡도의 증가를 야기한다. DDS 설계시 각 사이트에서 적절한 컴퓨터를 선택하는 문제와 단편화된 데이터를 적절한 사이트에 할당하는 문제가 중요하다. VAN 상에서 컴퓨터 선택과 데이터 파일의 할당은 응답대기시간(waited response time)과 투자비용(investment cost)의 상관관계를 반드시 고려하여 결정되어야 하므로, 본 논문에서는 각 컴퓨터와 파일의 할당의 영향에 따라 두 목적함수의 상관관계를 고려한다. 특히, 응답대기 시간에 대한 보다 실제적인 평가를 위해 M/M/1 큐잉 시스템을 기초로 하여 설계한다. 제안된 설계모델은 경험적 탐색법 중의 하나인 유전자 알고리즘(Genetic Algorithm)의 적용을 통해 효율적인 해의 탐색을 시도하고 제안된 수학적 모델과 알고리즘의 성능 검토를 위해 모의실험 및 결과분석을 한다.

최근, 정보네트워크의 놀랄만한 확장과 함께 분산데이터베이스가 부가통신망(Value Added Network)상에서 구현되는 사례가 늘고 있다. 분산데이터베이스는 지역적으로 분산된 업무 환경에서 중앙 집중식 구조에 비해 비용과 응답시간 면에서 큰 장점을 가진다. 그러나, 부적절한 설계는 불필요한 비용과 늦은 응답시간을 초래하게 된다. 분산데이터베이스 설계에서의 주요한 문제는 각 노드에서의 1) 적합한 컴퓨터의 선택과 2) 단편화된 데이터를 적합하게 할당하는 것이다. 따라서, 본 논문은 부가통신망상에서의 최적인 컴퓨터의 선택과 데이터의 할당에 관하여 논한다. 또한, 공식화된 수학 모델은 1) 운용비용과 2) 투자비용으로서 두 개의 목적함수를 포함하고 경험적 탐색법 중의 하나인 유전적 알고리즘의 설계를 통해 최적인 분산데이터베이스 설계를 위한 해들을 탐색한다. 끝으로 수치 예를 통해 각 성능을 평가할 것이다.
