  • When LIM is drived by the general purpose inverter, there is no food-back of speed and thrust, etc. Therefore, through analysis of LIM by the simulation, the prediction of operating characteristics and patterns of LIM is necessary. But, the open-loop control system is used widely, because it can consist of simple and cheap. In this paper, we foaled with the dynamic characteristics of LIM drived by V/f constant during acceleration, cruising speed deceleration. And, we compared the simulation value with actual measurement value.

  • In order to develop the three phase GTO CSI with double recovery path of commutation energy by passive devices (LCD), we studied the clamping circuit to protect switching device and energy recovery circuit to recover absorbed energy of capacitor and DC link inductor. In this paper, we investigated how DC input power is increased or decreased according to energy recovery path with or not in the three phase GTO current source inverter. We used a induction motor as the load of inverter, and controlled a induction motor with V/F constant control. Experimental results show that dissipated DC power is decreased and capacitor voltage Vc is effectively suppressed by double recovery path.

  • In this paper, a high-performance, low-area gradient-magnitude calculator architecture is proposed, based on approximate image processing. To reduce the computational complexity of the gradient-magnitude calculation, vector properties, the symmetry axis, and common terms were applied in a hardware-resource-shared architec-ture. The proposed gradient-magnitude calculator was implemented using an Altera Cyclone IV FPGA (EP4CE115F29) and the Quartus II v.16 device software. It satisfied the output-data quality while reducing the logic elements by 23% and the embedded multipliers by 76%, compared with previous work.

  • Using UPFC(Unified Power Flow Controlled), it is possible to control three parameters(voltage, impedance, and phase angle). The UPFC can generate or absorb reactive power rapidly so as to enhance the transient and voltage stability and also influence the power flow. In this paper, the effects of application of the UPFC to the power system are analyzed from a viewpoint of improving the total transfer capability by enhancing voltage stability. The IPLAN, which is a high level language used with PSS/E program, is employed for evaluating the total transfer capability from a f-V curve.

  • From standstill to medium speed which enough to sensing back EMF, it is not easy to drive without additional equipments due to directly proportional to flux. Conventional method to drive is 'align and go' method, so called v/f control that is increased voltage duty in proportion to the increase of frequency. Because it isn't consider load of motor and doesn't know rotor position exactly, current is supplied too much current or not enough to rotate motor. This paper is proposed starting method without any poison sensor and can drive a BLDC motor from standstill to the medium speed smoothly without any rattling and time delay compared with the conventional starting algorithm. To verify algorithm of this paper, experimental results are presented.

  • 러시아를 포함한 동유럽 국가에서는 아직까지 상용전원으로 권선형 동기전동기를 구동시키는 산업현장이 많이 있으며, 최근 에너지 절감을 위해 대용량 고전압 권선형 동기전동기 구동용 H-브릿지 멀티레벨 인버터에 대한 수요가 증가하고 있다. 권선형 동기전동기의 일반 V/F 운전 시에 전동기 회전자의 속도가 완벽히 동기화되지 않아 저속영역에서 난조가 발생하여 출력토크가 진동하는 현상으로 운전에 어려움이 있으며, 저속 영역에서의 낮은 토크 출력으로 인하여 다양한 부하에 적용이 힘든 단점을 가지고 있다. 본 논문에서는 H-브릿지 멀티레벨 인버터의 권선형 동기전동기 구동 시 헌팅 억제 알고리즘을 추가하고 속도 지령에 보상함으로써 저속 영역의 속도/토크 헌팅 현상을 저감하는 센서리스 제어 방법을 제안하였다.

  • In this paper, a novel concept for a static three-phase to three-phase power converter for an AC drive with a unity power factor and reduced harmonics on the utility line is presented. The power circuit consists of two back-to-back connected six-pulse bridges having only a $\mu$F ceramic capacitor in the DC link. By controlling the active kpower balance between two bridges, the DC link voltage can be maintained within 20V deviation from the nominal value with the small ceramic capacitors regardless of the load variation even in the unbalanced source condition.

  • This paper presents very simple driving system for blower of separator. The system be driven by V/F control. The load of the system have hardly variation during steady state, because of fan load. We have studied about the property of the fan load in order to develop driving system for blower of separator. This study can get reduction of energy, high separation rate of a raw of tobacco and high quality.

Smoothing 기법을 이용한 속도신호의 노이즈제거 및 가속도 추정 (Estimation of acceleration by noise rejection from velocity signals using Smoothing technique)

  • The velocity of train which is measured from pulse generator attached to TM is used for displaying or control signal of inverter and so on. Measured signals increase and decrease step-by-step by pulse counting or monotonously by F/V conversion. But noises and signal distortions by measuring error like alias make it difficult to provide correct velocity infomation and estimate the acceleration. In this paper, we investigated the performance of Smoothing method for suppressing the noises in velocity signals. And the difference between Smoothed signal and origin velocity signals is inspected and the comparison with low pass filtering show applicable of Smoothing method for noise rejection and the estimation of signal. Finally, acceleration curves estimated from Smoothing method are compared with real accelerator signal attached to train.

  • 본 논문에서는 H-브릿지 멀티레벨 인버터를 이용한 고전압 대용량 유도 전동기 구동을 위한 단순하고 강인한 속도 센서리스 제어를 소개하였다. H-브릿지 멀티레벨 인버터는 고전압 대용량화, 우수한 입출력 전력품질, 모듈화, 그리고 설치 조건 편의성으로 인해 고전압 대용량 유도 전동기 가변속 용도로 적용이 확대되고 있지만, V/F 운전시의 대표적인 단점인 저속 영역에서의 낮은 토오크, 무부하 혹은 경부하 조건의 전류 및 전동기 진동, 그리고 전동기 슬립에 의한 속도 변동은 대용량 유도 전동기의 인버터 적용에 걸림돌이 되고 있다. 따라서, 이러한 문제점을 극복하기 위해 속도 센서가 필요 없으며 전동기 상수에 강인한 속도 센서리스 제어를 전류 및 슬립 보상을 적용하여 유도 전동기의 기동 토오크 증대, 경부하 진동 억제, 그리고 속도 제어 특성을 향상 시켰다.
