Performance of Food Products Distribution During the COVID-19 Pandemic in Indonesia

  • Purpose: This study aims to determine the online shop service performance of fresh food products distribution, consumer motivation, and their relationship during the COVID-19 pandemic. Research design, data, and methodology: A survey was conducted online using Google Forms on 100 consumers of TaniHub application users. Data in the form of scale were analyzed descriptively to explain the service performance and consumer motivation. The service performance consists of technical services and marketing services. Technical service indicators consist of payment, delivery, and products. Meanwhile, the marketing service indicator consists of promotions and prices. The consumer motivation is characterized by reference, actualization, and lifestyle. The relationship between the two was analyzed using Spearman's rank correlation. Results: The most consumers are millennial generation who were active in social media. They are employees with Bachelor's and Master's qualifications and included in the middle economic groups. TaniHub online shop had good technical and fair marketing performance. The motivation of online shop consumers of fresh food products through the TaniHub application was high. Conclusions: The findings discovered a significant relationship between online shop service performance and consumer motivation. It indicates the need for improvement in marketing services, especially promotions, to improve the performance of this e-agribusiness company.

Sustaining the Use of Quantified-Self Technology: A Theoretical Extension and Empirical Test

  • Quantified-self technologies (QSTs) provide functions for users to collect, track, and monitor personal data for self-reflection and acquisition of self-knowledge. Although QSTs require prolonged use to reap the attendant benefits, many users stop using their devices or tracking within weeks or months. To address this issue, this study seeks to determine ways to sustain the use of QSTs. Combining motivational affordance theory with technology continuance theory, this study develops a theoretical model that accounts for an individual's continued intention to use a QST. Within the proposed model, unique QST affordances were identified as antecedents of individual motivation in relation to technology continuance, and their different roles in stimulating hedonic, utilitarian, and eudaimonic motivations were examined. The model was tested using data collected from 180 QST users. Results demonstrate that although utilitarian and eudaimonic motivations are complementary forces in determining continuance intention, hedonic motivation loses its predictive power in favor of eudaimonic motivation. Tracking, visualizing, and sharing affordances play different roles in elevating user motivations. The sharing affordance does not influence utilitarian and eudaimonic motivations, but it positively influences hedonic motivation. This research contributes to the literature on technology continuance by shifting scholarly attention from hedonic-utilitarian duality to eudaimonic motivation, characterized by meaning, self-growth, and pursuit of excellence.

Development of the Measured Scales for Purchasing Motivation of Inbound Tourists about Fashion Goods (외래관광객의 패션상품 구매동기의 측정척도 개발에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of this research was to develop of measured scales for purchasing motivation of inbound tourists about fashion goods. A self-administrated questionnaire survey method was conducted among foreign tourists visited in Dongdaemun market. Data from 615 of inbound tourists were analysed by using factor analysis. As the results of the survey, 6 factors related purchasing motivation were derived; satisfaction, practicality, fashion, memory of tourism, eonomy and impromptu. The adequate indexes were shown from final models, such as RMR=.047, SMSEA =.043, CFI=.935, GFI=.956, AGFI=.937 and NFI=.888. It means that these values are appropriate to the measured scales for purchasing motivation of inbound tourists for fashion goods.

Mediating Effect of Uncertainty on the Relationship between Social Support and Rehabilitation Motivation in Patients with Stroke (뇌졸중 환자에서 사회적 지지가 재활동기에 미치는 영향: 불확실성의 매개효과를 중심으로)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to examine whether the uncertainty mediates relationship between rehabilitation motivation and social support. Methods: Participants were 123 adults patients diagnosed as stroke in a hospital located in a Metropolitan City. Data were collected by self-administered questionnaires measuring uncertainty, family support and medical team support as social support, rehabilitation motivation. Data were analyzed using t-test, one-way ANOVA, Pearson's correlation, and multiple regression analyses. The significance of mediating effect was analyzed by Sobel test. Results: Family support and uncertainty, respectively, were influential on rehabilitation motivation (${\beta}=.39$, p<.001, ${\beta}=-.18$, p=.011). Uncertainty showed partial mediating effect on relationship between family support and rehabilitation motivation, however, the effect was not significant (Z=1.63, p=.103). Conclusion: Interventions improving family support and decreasing uncertainty may be helpful in enhancing rehabilitation motivation.

  • This study explored how intrinsic and extrinsic motivation relates to achieving creativity at project work. We were interested in differences in how motivational factors relate to creativity. Using data from the 98 engineers and researchers employed by a variety of companies, principal components factor analysis with marimax rotation was performed on the data. We examined effects of the moderate variables the intrinsic and extrinsic motivation and creativity relationship. The results indicate of positive mental involvement, the time and the resource constraints relates positively to creativity in organizations and that the relationship is a simple linear one. These outcomes are significantly related to intrinsic motivation and the creativity. In additions, extrinsic motivation is related to less the creativity. Our survey findings are also consistent with other sources of knowledge on the topic. Our results suggest that there are two different role: mental involvement, time and resources constraints, both of which predict creativity, and external control and extrinsic motivations reduce to creativity.

The Effects of Empowering Leadership on Intrinsic Motivation and In-role Behavior (임파워링 리더십이 내재적 동기부여와 역할 내 행동에 미치는 영향)

  • The paper examines how empowering leadership and intrinsic motivation contributed to explaining in-role behavior. In order to verify the relationships and mediating effect, data were collected from 414 individuals in employees working in small and medium-sized firms at Jinju, Changwon, Gimhae, Busan City to test theoretical model and its hypotheses. All data collected from the survey were analyzed using with SPSS 18.0. This study reports findings as follows: first, the relationship between the empowering leadership and the intrinsic motivation is positively related. Second, there was also a positive correlation between the intrinsic motivation and the in-role behavior. Third, the relationship between the empowering leadership and the in-role behavior is positively related. Finally, the intrinsic motivation played as a partial mediator on the relationship between empowering leadership and in-role behavior. Based on these findings, the implications and the limitations of the study were presented including some directions for future studies.

Concept Analysis of Rehabilitation Motivation in Patients with Rheumatoid Arthritis (류마티스 관절염 환자의 재활동기에 대한 개념분석)

  • Purpose: This study was to identify the attributes, antecedents, their consequences, and empirical indicators of rehabilitation motivation in rheumatoid arthritis patients. Methods: Walker and Avant's method was used to analyze the concept. Articles published after 1990 were searched in Medline, CINAHL, NSDL, and RISS databases using "rehabilitation", "motivation" and their combination as keywords. Results: The attributes of rehabilitation motivation are: 1) certitude and trust toward rehabilitation treatment; 2) confidence in the rehabilitation process; 3) efforts and commitments to achieve health goals; 4) psychological needs to act toward health recovery. Its antecedents include: 1) rights of self-determination; 2) goal setting and goal-oriented attitude; 3) personal needs; 4) getting rewards; 5) social and family support; 6) professional behavior of healthcare providers; and 7) least risks or costs for actions taken. Conclusion: The study results could be used as a conceptual framework for developing tools to measure the motivation of rheumatoid arthritis patients.

Factors that affecting the learning motivation and demotivation of dental technology students in online classes (온라인 수업에서 치기공과 학생의 학습동기 및 학습동기저하에 영향을 미치는 요인)

  • Purpose: This study sought to identify the factors influencing learning motivation and demotivation in online dental technology students. Methods: A survey was conducted from October 1 to 30, 2021, on 188 dental technology students. The collected data were processed using the IBM SPSS IBM SPSS Statistics ver. 22.0 statistical program (IBM), and frequency, factor, and one-way ANOVA analyses were performed, for which the significance was set at 0.05. Results: It was found that the main online learning motivation factors were the usefulness of the learning content, interest, and confidence in the activities, the relationships with the teachers and friends, the feedback, and learning satisfaction. The factors that reduced the students' online learning motivation were interaction difficulties, maladaptation to the self-directed learning environment, the inadequate number of learning activities, and activity difficulty. Conclusion: Based on the identified online class motivation and demotivation factors, better systematic management and increased research are needed to improve the quality of non-face-to-face classes.

The Relationship among Parenting Behaviors, Children's Perfectionism and Achievement Motivation (부모의 양육행동, 남녀 아동의 완벽주의 및 성취동기간의 관계)

  • This study examined the relationship among parenting behaviors, children's perfectionism and achievement motivation, using a sample of 338 fifth and sixth graders. The participants completed questionnaires on parenting behaviors and their perfectionism and achievement motivation. Data were analyzed by factor analyses and multiple regression analysis. Both boys and girls had higher achievement motivation when they perceived higher parental levels of acceptance, and girls showed higher achievement motivation when they perceived higher maternal control/over-expectation. Boys who exhibited self-oriented and socially prescribed perfectionism and girls who exhibited self-oriented perfectionism showed higher achievement motivation. Boys had higher self-oriented and socially prescribed perfectionism when perceiving higher parental acceptance and control/over-expectation. Girls showed higher self-oriented perfectionism when perceiving higher parental acceptance and control/over-expectation, and they showed higher socially prescribed perfectionism when perceiving higher paternal control/over-expectation and maternal acceptance and control/over-expectation. It was revealed that both boys' and girls' perfectionism tended to play mediating roles between parenting behaviors and achievement motivation.

Effect of Emotional-Utilitarian Motivation on Coffee Shop Selection Attribution (커피전문점 이용고객의 감정적-유용적 이용동기가 커피전문점 선택속성에 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of emotional-utilitarian motivation on coffee shop selection attribution. Based on a total of 276 samples obtained from empirical research, the results of the survey were analyzed by using SPSS 22.0. The results of this study were as follows. Firstly, the results of exploratory factor analysis of coffee shop selection attribution emphasized service, coffee quality, diversity of menu, atmosphere, convenience, and price. Secondly, the customers showed higher emotional motivation than utilitarian motivation. Thirdly, emotional motivation had a significant effect on perception of 'service', 'coffee quality', and 'atmosphere'. On the other hand, utilitarian motivation had a significant effect on 'service', 'diversity of menu', 'convenience', and 'price'.
