User Generated contents(UGC) interchange with internet users actively in Web2.0 environment. According to growth of content sharing site, the number of non-expert's contents increased. But non-expert's contents have a simple media just recorded. For providing actual feeling like effects and actions to non-expert's contents, we suggest Fusion Media Middleware(FMM). The FMM can increase user satisfaction by providing actual feeling. Furthermore, The content changes advanced media that has emotional impression. The FMM for providing actual feeling classify the inputted media as a scene based on MPEG-7. The FMM provide an actual feeling to simple media by inserting effects like a sound, image and text among the classified media. Using the BSD code of MPEG-21, the FMM can link up with inputted media and effects. Through the mapping BSD code the FMM control synchronization between media and effects. In this paper, Using the Fusion Media Middleware, the non-expert's contents express value as multimedia that has an actual feeling. Futhermore, the FMM creates flow of new media circulation.

For CAD data users, few things are as frustrating as receiving CAD data that is unusable due to poor data quality. Users waste time trying to get better data, fixing the data, or even rebuilding the data from scratch from paper drawings or other sources. Most related works and commercial tools handle the boundary representation (B-Rep) shape of CAD models. However, we propose a design history?based approach for healing CAD model errors. Because the design history, which covers the features, the history tree, the parameterization data and constraints, reflects the design intent, CAD model errors can be healed by an interdependency analysis of the feature commands or of the parametric data of each feature command, and by the reconstruction of these feature commands through the rule-based reasoning of an expert system. Unlike other B Rep correction methods, our method automatically heals parametric feature models without translating them to a B-Rep shape, and it also preserves engineering information.
Recently, active research has been conducted on the metaverse as a new education platform. However, only a few studies analyze the specific characteristics of this platform from potential users' perspectives. Therefore, based on literature reviews and expert surveys on education, this study specifies the attributes and levels to be considered in developing metaverse education platforms. An online survey was conducted among university students in South Korea, and conjoint analysis was performed to propose the conditions for education platforms optimized for university education. The results revealed that 85% of respondents were willing to use metaverse education platforms, and preferred virtual classrooms that enable indirect experience in a web-based personal computer environment. In particular, the respondents showed a high preference for the education platforms that were available at $5 per month and used newly created three-dimensional avatar characters of themselves. This study is significant since its results have strategic implications for expanding the metaverse's use as a new educational space.

In the ubiquitous computing environments. people usually carry multiple information technology devices with them. Personal device network (PDN) refers to the way how people connect multiple IT devices for their personal as well as professional purposes. Even though it has been Quite popular to construct the PDN in ubiquitous computing context, not much research has been conducted on how people actually connected multiple devices and what influences their methods of connection. In this paper we conducted a content analysis on community bulletin boards of IT devices and a contextual inquiry with expert users of PDN for investigating the configurations with which users connect multiple IT devices. Base on the results of two related studies, we identified three major types of PDN configurations, and key factors that influence the configurations of PDN. We conclude this research with guidelines to design a set of devices for each of the three configuration types.

Early decision support systems (DSS) were the "passive" decision support systems in the sense that the systems only able to do what the users explicitly direct them to do. But some researchers such as Raghav Rao et al. [51 showed architectures to suggest general idea of the innovative DSS systems which offer active form of decision support, say, "active Intelligent Decision Support Systems(active IDSS)". The system can perform not only what the users want to do but some voluntary (or involuntary) intelligent works. This paper presents the issues in the design of the active IDSS in the domain of investment evaluation, a domain area where few researchers have suggested frameworks or architectures to discriminate good investment from bad one. We propose a new paradigm, by utilizing historical investment results using neural network and Multivariate Discriminant Analysis(MDA), to identify goodness of investment. A new active IDSS architecture which consists of neural network, expert system and three components of the traditional passive DSS is suggested with some scenario based results.nario based results.

To order to remain competitive, a manufacturing company need to maintain the optimal condition of its manufacturing system. Machine tools as an important element of a manufacturing system comprises complex mechanical as well as electronic components. So, diagnosing the troubles of machine tools is tricky process which requires a lot of experience and knowledge. Since providing machine tool users with necessary serices at the right time is very difficult,a remote diagnosis system is to be regarded as a good alternative, with which users can diagnose and fix the machine troubles. This paper presents a method to implement a remote machine tool diagnosis system using the world wide web technology and backward reasoning expert system.

PURPOSE: To investigate the validity of a smartphone application for post-stroke daily living activity management based on an evaluation by users and experts. METHODS: The study design adhered to the analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation ADDIE (Analysis-Design-Development-Implement-Evaluation) model. We downloaded the application onto the smartphones of 33 users and 30 experts, taught them how to use it, and asked them to use the application for four weeks. The users' daily lives before and after using the application were compared based on the K-MBI (Korean Version of Modified Barthel Index) to evaluate the usability of the application. For the expert group, we investigated the content validity and reliability of the application and evaluated the usability of the application. Data were analyzed using the SPSS 21.0 software. Users' general characteristics and experts' evaluation scores were analyzed using descriptive statistics. Content validity was tested using the content validity index (CVI), and reliability was tested with Cronbach's alpha. Users' K-MBI scores before and after using the application were compared with the paired sample t-test. RESULTS: Users gave an average rating of 2.93 out of 4 for the application for managing the daily lives of stroke patients, while experts gave an average score of 3.14. With regard to the K-MBI scores, only the dressing score improved significantly (p<.005) after using the application, and scores for other categories slightly improved but not to significant levels. CONCLUSION: The results of this study suggest that the STROKECARE application is usable and could help stroke patients manage their daily lives.

Providing explanations about recommending actions is one of the most important capabilities of expert systems. In fact, there exist many approaches incorporating this explanation facility into the system. Here we present briefly a new approach to generating these explanations and further attempt to investigate the impact of system explanations on user behaviors toward system-generated recommendations. For this experiment we designed a stock investment decision supporting system which, given a set of market situations, suggests an investment recommendation with explanations about the recommending action. Twenty-nine bank employees evaluated the output of the system in a laboratory setting. The results indicate that explanation facilities can make systems-generated advice more confident to users but cannot increase users'acceptance for the system conclusion.
With the progress in process automation, it becomes necessary that a robot should have various sophisticated capabilities. A robot programming language is a tool that can give a robot such capabilities without any change in robot architecture. Especially a task level automatic programming system enables a robot able to perform a job intelligently. Therefore anyone who is not an expert on welding or robot programming can easily use it. In this research, basic automatic welding program is combined with workspace information, which makes users do an arc welding job automatically.

The computer users who desire the comprehensive use of an advanced network system which permits to link the diversified types of computer from one to others, still tend to increase in number. However, one of the ways to install a highly reliable facilities relative to the network system is to inherit the know-how preserved in the specific technology. Therefore, we will propose the solution of this problem. This paper describes COMNETS, an expert system for constructing distributed networks.
