This paper presents the process of developing, applying and increasingly updating curriculums to reinforce education in IT field through cooperation of industry and academy by the invention of government. In particular, the curriculums are developed and refined in order to satisfy both industry as users and academy as suppliers, using a spiral model, which was originally proposed for software development by Boehm. The result and the assessment are described where the developed curriculums have been applied at the universities in a national-wide base through a project by government. The basic principles of this model are general enough to be applied to curriculum development in various areas of college education.

The purpose of this study was to design an extensive evaluation model for the quality of web-based database and to make a comparative analysis of People's awareness of the importance of assessment indices. The evaluation standard developed in this study was constituted by 19 indices and 45 elements in three different areas, including data, service and effectiveness. And a survey was conducted on database experts and nonprofessional users to find out their awareness of the importance of web-based database evaluation elements, and the findings of the study might contribute to laying the foundation for expediting more in-depth research efforts in the future.

With a focus on different aspects of PMIS in construction projects, various sets of critical success factors (CSFs) have been suggested in the literature such as IS Success Model by various researchers. It is crucial to explore the relative importance and groupings of these factors. This paper aims to identify CSFs associated with Project Management Information System (PMIS) in construction projects, and explore their ranking and underlying relationship. CSFs for PMIS identified through a literature review, and consolidated by interviews and pilot studies with professionals in construction industry. A questionnaire instrument was sent out to experienced users (Construction Manager and Constructor) in Korea, and 253 completed questionnaires were retrieved. To increase the generalizability of the results, the respondents were spread across construction site. Using factor analysis and considering the high importance of the factor, CSFs were grouped into three dimensions. All these three groupings and their relationship were included in a framework for successful PMIS in construction projects. These findings help to clarify what the high prioritized factors are, and could also be used as an assessment tool to evaluate the performance of PMIS and thus help to identify areas for improvement.

This paper proposes a system for convenient remote control and management of the lockers with a smart phone. The key features of the proposed system are as follows. First, we connect the lockers to the server and then use the authentication procedure to open and close their lockers. Second, we create instant lockers to increase convenience for users who need to use casual necessities. Unlike traditional analog methods, we finally develop certification procedures. Particularly, log data are better secured than traditional ones. The performance assessment of the proposed system is simulated by producing a dummy model. We will show that the proposed system could effectively support opening and closing the lockers using smart phones.

The purposes of this primary study are the selection of rail station and train operation management techniques for express-rail operation service at the convectional railway electrification. For these analyses, we used the KNR statistics and KROIS data of rail stations and train users by rail line. Therefore, we chose the important stations for express-rail operation of Kyongbu conventional rail line (esp. Seoul-Jochiwon section) through the rail transportation demand. and then, suggested primary operational management plan thorough the effects analyses of decreasing total travel time and increasing transportation demand by train speed-up. This study has some bounds and limits for proceeding, as it does, we excluded as followings: the conditionals of fate system, headways and train diagram, economic/financial analysis and technological assessment, and other railway technological infrastructures and a certain railcar specification, etc. . We propose to enlarge this study into a feasibility study of express or skip-stop operation service and compatible vehicle system decision considering with the best possible investment rail line, furthermore. in front of Kyongbu (Seoul-Busan) high-speed rail open in 2004, we have to try to progress the efficiencies of railway operation applying various train operation management plan.

This study proposed to develop a model for user-customizable policy information services, based on an assessment of policy users' demands and a case analysis of customized services. To do this, we analyzed literature related to user customized services, performed case studies, and carried out a survey targeting policy information consumers. In this way, this study suggested that information retrieval and data offerings, reference information services, policy information network services, library marketing services, and personalized service are details which user-customizable policy information services must provide.

This study was performed to identify the roles of residents for the environmentally sound and sustainable development, taco-polis(kologisches Bauen), eco-village and Symbiotic Housing. These buildings will achieve energy efficiency through design strategies such as passive solar heating system, natural cooling and day lighting. Their infrastructure will feature parking on the periphery, extensive pedestrian paths, outdoor ground lights that preserve stellar visibility, and environmentally sensitive technologies such as low writer use fixtures. And they will restore biodiversity while protecting the wildlife, wetlands, forests, soil, air and water. Their houses wile be designed to support home-based occupations, offering high-speed Internet access and other options to promote a localized, sustainable economy. To support and encourage the evolution of sustainable settlements, it is necessary to prepare constructing the physical facilities and the social functions relating with residents. The roles of residents are important to provide a high Quality lifestyle and to integrate a supportive social environment with a low-impact way of life. This study concluded the four main roles of residents for the sustainable of Eco-polis and Ecovillage. 1. Residents assist transition towards a sustainable society as eco-conscious consumers in the planning stage. 2. Residents live in a ecological way for the sustainable ecovillage. 3. Residents exchange information and education for increasing the community glue as a communication network. 4. Residents support and transmit their cultural vitality and tradition for the next generation. So, users are expected to encourage resident's participation in the planning, design, ongoing management and maintenance of the sustainable ecovillage.

The Internet of Things (IoT) environment has been gradually approaching reality, and although it provides great convenience, security threats are increasing accordingly. For the IoT environment to settle safely, careful consideration of information security is necessary. Although many security measures in the design and development stages of IoT products have been studied thus far, apart from them, the establishment of systems and countermeasures for post management after the launch of IoT products is also very important. In the present paper, a technical and policy post-security management framework is proposed to provide secure IoT environments. The proposed framework defines the concrete response procedures of individual entities such as users, manufacturers, and competent authorities in the case of the occurrence of security flaws after launching IoT products, and performs appropriate measures such as software updates and recalls based on an assessment of the risk of security flaws.

With the e-business paradigm emerging, the website became a critical resource for most corporations. However, the amount of value creation through internet is still in question. This paper shows the result of an exploratory study on website assessment, following the tradition of Technology Acceptance Model (TAM). We viewed the intended usage as the value of the website and added such factors as playfulness, commitment, system quality, and information security as external variables of the model. Website types, visiting purposes, and the user system quality were included as moderators. The website value could differ depending on website types, purposes of the use and system quality. In the case of internet shopping malls, playfulness, compatibility, website quality were identified as key influencers, while for stock trading users, however, commitment and security factors are more important. In terms of user purposes, information search requires both the compatibility and the website quality. Also the website quality was strongly affected by the user system quality. In other words, any investment of upgrading the website system quality can be meaningless unless the user system quality is improved as well. For each variable considered, empirical results are discussed and practical implications are provided.

The Overseas Construction Engineering Information System (OVICE), which is operated by the Korea Institute of Construction Technology, uses the Overseas Construction Information Service classification system to service information required for overseas construction of domestic construction engineering companies. In this study, through the application of the recommendation system using collaborative filtering, identifying the relationship between the subjects for real users, verifying the adequacy of the overseas construction information classification system currently in service. Through this, I would like to propose an information service classification system that reflects actual user demand.
