컨텐츠 유통 플랫폼에서 이용자 참여와 생산자 반응의 적합성 효과에 관한 연구 (The Effect of Congruency between User Participation and Producer Response on User Generated Content)

  • Purpose - This study's objective is to analyze the content of the communications between users and producers based on the construal level theory. User generated content refers to content created in an online-based service where users and producers communicate interactively with each other. In a user generated content platform, the messages sent and received between the many players, the users and producers who use the content, may be analyzed at the psychological level based on construal level theory. Research design, data, and methodology - This study gathered user and producer participation through a snow-bowling sampling method. The data analyzed includes 125 video clips and 2,912 comments. The period of the data collection was from September 2014 to December 2014. The collected data was analyzed using a t-test and two-way ANOVA. Results - This study obtained the following research results. First, users who were a short social distance from producers responded to user participatory activities stated in concrete language rather than abstract language. In contrast, users who were at a longer social distance from producers tended to respond to the content requesting user participation through abstract language. Second, if users and producers were at a short social distance from each other, user preference increased more when a producer response to user participation was expressed concretely rather than when it was expressed abstractly. In contrast, if the users were at a longer social distance, users' preferences increased more when producer response was expressed abstractly rather than when it was expressed concretely. Conclusion - This study found that the effect of suitability, in which the social distance and the content were in congruence at the construal level, could be observed. Therefore, based on this, academic and practical implications were drawn. The three main insights of the study are as follows. First, firms can use psychological factors to analyze the message content of users in their distribution platforms. This study reveals managerial implications for marketing managers who want to take make use of this analysis of user and producer communications. This study indicates that the main factors include the concrete and abstract scores and social distance between users and producers. Second, we also provide the strategic guidelines to maximizing user preferences and other outcomes. The main dependent variable in this study is the user preference shift; the variable increases through the congruence effect; and the construal level is determined by the social distance between the users and producers and the type of producer response. The outcomes here from users can be utilized to develop several systemic strategies. One process to use the outcomes could be: (1) firms could measure the users and producers social distance; (2) calculate the concreteness or abstractness of the messages; and, (3) predict the user preference outcomes by the congruence between user and producer social distance and the abstractness or concreteness of the message content.

여가활동의 감성적 반응에 관한 연구 (A Study on Emotional Response of Leisure Activity)

  • The role of emotional responses is an important subject of study in consumer behavior. Although the perceived performance and satisfaction related emotions have been studied with increasing quantities in leisure studies or fields of outdoor recreation and tourism, issues concerning the appropriate way to measure these emotional responses remains unresolved. This article reviews the emotion measuring scales, and testify the usefulness of PAD scale based upon 349 questionnaires by users of Phoenix Park(Ski Resort) and Seoul Land(Theme Park) in Korea. It was found that, users' emotional response was closely related with satisfaction in Phoenix Park(Ski Resort); however, users' perceived performance was closely related with satisfaction in Seoul Land (Theme Park). This article argues that the meanings of these findings is due to different characteristics of consumption typology between ski resort and theme park. In conclusion, users' emotional experience may be more useful in understanding skiing activities and in formulating management strategies for ski resorts than theme parks.

The Effect of Xiaohongshu Service Quality on the Stickiness Through the Emotional Responses of Users

  • Xiaohongshu is called China's Instagram and is leading overseas product purchases and culture sharing. The purpose of this study is to investigate the structural relationship between Xiaohongshu service quality, emotional response perceived by users, and adhesion to confirm the impact on Xiaohongshu's adhesion at a time when non-face-to-face activities due to COVID-19 have increased. This study distributed and collected questionnaires from October 1st to October 7th, 2021, targeting 210 online shopping mall users. The research results were derived from a total of 206 questionnaires, excluding 4 questionnaires such as omission of record contents, and the causal relationship of the existing PAD model was attempted to be reported by revising and supplementing the existing PAD model. As a result of the study, first, it was confirmed that design among service quality had a positive effect only on ventilation during the user's emotional response. Second, it was confirmed that information among service quality had a positive effect on pleasure and ventilation among users' emotional responses. Third, it was found that security among service quality had a positive effect on pleasure among users' emotional responses. Finally, it was found that pleasure and ventilation had a positive effect on adhesion in the user's emotional response. Based on this result, it is expected that it will be used for operation on other online platforms than the plan for the development of Xiaohongshu.

Emotional Correlation Test from Binary Gender Perspective using Kansei Engineering Approach on IVML Prototype

  • This study examines the response of users' feelings from a gender perspective toward interactive video mobile learning (IVML). An IVML prototype was developed for the Android platform allowing users to install and make use of the app for m-learning purposes. This study aims to measure the level of feelings toward the IVML prototype and examine the differences in gender perspectives, identify the most responsive feelings between male, and female users as prominent feelings and measure the correlation between user-friendly feeling traits as an independent variable in accordance with gender attributes. The feelings response could then be extracted from the user experience, user interface, and human-computer interaction based on gender perspectives using the Kansei engineering approach as the measurement method. The statistical results demonstrated the different emotional reactions from a male and female perspective toward the IVML prototype may or may not have a correlation with the user-friendly trait, perhaps having a similar emotional response from one to another.

Impact of User Convenience on Appliance Scheduling of a Home Energy Management System

  • Regarding demand response (DR) by residential users (R-users), the users try to reduce electricity costs by adjusting their power consumption in response to the time-varying price. However, their power consumption may be affected not only by the price, but also by user convenience for using appliances. This paper proposes a methodology for appliance scheduling (AS) that considers the user convenience based on historical data. The usage pattern for appliances is first modeled applying the copula function or clustering method to evaluate user convenience. As the modeling results, the comfort distribution or representative scenarios are obtained, and then used to formulate a discomfort index (DI) to assess the degree of the user convenience. An AS optimization problem is formulated in terms of cost and DI. In the case study, various AS tasks are performed depending on the weights for cost and DI. The results show that user convenience has significant impacts on AS. The proposed methodology can contribute to induce more DR participation from R-users by reflecting properly user convenience to AS problem.

Response Time Prediction of IoT Service Based on Time Similarity

  • In the field of Internet of Things (IoT), smarter embedded devices offer functions via web services. The Quality-of-Service (QoS) prediction is a key measure that guarantees successful IoT service applications. In this study, a collaborative filtering method is presented for predicting response time of IoT service due to time-awareness characteristics of IoT. First, a calculation method of service response time similarity between different users is proposed. Then, to improve prediction accuracy, initial similarity values are adjusted and similar neighbors are selected by a similarity threshold. Finally, via a densified user-item matrix, service response time is predicted by collaborative filtering for current active users. The presented method is validated by experiments on a real web service QoS dataset. Experimental results indicate that better prediction accuracy can be achieved with the presented method.

보안경비 이용자의 고객접점서비스, 내적반응, 소비행동의 구조적 관계 (Structural Relationship between Customer Access Service, Internal Response, and Consumption Behavior of Security Expenditure Users)

  • 이 연구는 보안경비 이용자의 고객접점서비스, 내적반응과 소비행동간 간의 관계를 구조모형을 통해 규명하는 것이 목적이다. 이 연구는 보안경비 서비스를 이용하는 구매자의 실증적인 대면이 되는 접점서비스의 중요성을 파악하고 이에 따른 소비자의 반응과 소비행동의 관계를 규명함으로서 보안경비 산업 발전에 기여할 수 있다는 점에서 의미가 있다할 것이다. 연구대상은 충청남도 천안시 및 아산시의 상가 밀집지역을 중심으로 보안경비서비스를 이용하고 있는 점포로 하고 여기서 점포 대표 및 직원 375명을 선정하여 연구를 수행하였다. 조사도구는 국내·외 선행연구를 기초로 하여 연구의 목적에 맞게 수정하여 사용하였다. 자료처리는 SPSS 25.0과 AMOS 25.0 두 가지 통계프로그램을 이용하여 빈도 분석, 탐색적 요인분석, 신뢰도 분석, 확인적 요인분석, 구조모형분석을 실시하였다. 통계적 유의 수준은 .05로 설정하여 분석하였으며, 자료 분석을 통하여 다음과 같은 결론을 얻었다. 첫째, 보안경비 이용자의 고객접점서비스는 소비행동에 정(+)의 영향을 미친다. 둘째, 보안경비 이용자의 고객접점서비스는 내적반응에 정(+)의 영향을 미친다. 셋째, 보안경비 이용자의 내적반응은 소비행동에 정(+)의 영향을 미친다. 넷째, 보안경비 이용자의 고객접점서비스와 소비행동 간의 매개효과로써 내적반응은 정(+)의 영향을 미친다.

심성모형 기반의 마우스 제스처 개발 (Mouse Gesture Design Based on Mental Model)

  • Various web browsers offer mouse gesture functions because they are convenient input methods. Mouse gestures enable users to move to the previous page or tab without clicking its relevant icon or menu of the web browser. To maximize the efficiency of mouse gestures, they should be designed to match users' mental models. Mental models of human beings are used to make accurate predictions and reactions when certain information has been recognized by humans. This means providing users with appropriate information about mental models will lead to fast understanding and response. A cognitive response test was performed in order to evaluate whether the mouse gestures easily associate with their respective functional meanings or not. After extracting mouse gestures which needed improvement, those were redesigned to reduce cognitive load via sketch maps. The methods presented in this study will be of help for evaluating and designing mouse gestures.

사례 기반 추론을 이용한 서비스 컴포지션 연구 (A Study on Service Composition Using Case-Based Reasoning)

  • 웹서비스와 상황인식서비스는 사용자의 요구에 따라 많은 종류의 서비스를 제공할 수 있어야 한다. 사용자의 요구는 날로 다양해지고 있고 그에 발맞추어 다양한 종류의 서비스들이 서비스 제공 업체에 의해 새롭게 시장에 등장하고 있다. 하지만 사용자의 새로운 요청에 맞추어 새로운 서비스를 생산하거나 일부 사용자의 요구 때문에 새로운 서비스를 만드는 것은 비효율적이다. 그래서 최근에는 유저의 다양한 요청에 보다 유연하게 대응할 수 있는 기술들에 대한 연구가 이루어지고 있다. 그 중 단일 서비스의 조합을 통해 복합서비스를 제공할 수 있는 서비스 컴포지션이라는 기술이 주목을 받고 있다. 하지만, 기존 연구들은 다소 늦은 처리속도로 인해 빠른 응답이 필요한 실시간 상황인식서비스에는 부적합하다. 그래서 본 논문은 사례기반추론을 이용하여 기존 방법보다 빠른 서비스 컴포지션을 구현하는 방법을 제안한다. 그리고 제안하는 알고리즘을 검증하기 위해 사용자에게 이동서비스와 구매정보서비스를 이용하여 사용자의 이동 및 구매 요구를 만족하는 조합을 찾아주는 물건 구매 서비스 서비스를 구현하고 이 구현된 물건 구매 도우미 서비스에 제안하는 알고리즘과 기존 서비스 컴포지션 기법을 적용하여 각 알고리즘의 성능을 비교분석 한다.

퍼스널 모빌리티 사용의도에 관한 연구: SOR(Stimulus-Organism-Response) 모델을 중심으로 (A Study on the Intention to use Personal Mobility Services: Focused on the SOR(Stimulus-Organism-Response) Model)

  • 본 연구는 SOR(Stimulus-Organism-Response) 모델을 기반으로 퍼스널 모빌리티의 성능적 측면과 외부 환경적 요인을 고려해 이용자들과 비이용자들의 사용 의도를 설명할 수 있는 연구 모형을 제안하였다. 국내 사용자들과 비사용자들을 대상으로 설문조사를 진행하였고 부분최소자승법(Partial Least Square, PLS)과 인공신경망 분석(Artificial Neural Network, ANN)을 통해 연구모형 및 가설들을 검증하였다. 분석결과, 사용자들은 지각된 만족도와 지각된 신뢰도가 사용 의도에 긍정적인 영향을 미치고, 지각된 위험성과 환경적 가치가 지각된 만족도와 지각된 신뢰도와 유의한 관계가 있음이 확인되었다. 반면, 비사용자들은 지각된 만족도와 사용의도 간에 양의 상관관계가 있음이 밝혀졌고, 사용자들과 마찬가지로 지각된 위험성과 환경적 가치가 지각된 만족도와 지각된 신뢰도의 유의한 선행변수임이 검증되었다. 나머지 변수들 중에서는 사용자들의 지각된 이동성과 비사용자들의 지각된 이용 용이성이 각각 지각된 만족도의 중요한 영향요인으로 파악되었다.
