The purpose of this study is to develop a PC-based water supply facilities information system. This system will be a major stepping-stone for developing Geographic Information Systems(GIS) in Korea, which is constructed by integrating the technologies related to Automated Mapping(AM) systems and Facilities Management(FM) system. And the results of this study are as follows: (1) After the user needs assessment, it was decided that information management of the water supply facilities including distribution pipes, valves, and leaking management are the most urgent tasks. So, the system was developed focusing on these tasks. (2) After the system design and development, the water supply facilities information system consists of graphic database management system, attribute database management system, internal interface that links graphic data and attribute data, and graphic user interface for user-friendliness. (3) The graphic data and the attribute data including distribution pipes, leading-pipes, valves, and parcels at the study area, Non-Hyun Dong Kang-Nam Gu in Seoul, were used in this system, and the water supply facilities database was established. It was applied to test these facilities, and proved that the system developed in this study is efficient to manage information within the scope of this study. (4) The function using the parcel identification number was efficient to locate the address concerned.

Currently, the consumption process of Medical Marijuana is complicated, so it is necessary to provide patient-centered services. This study defined the consumption process of Medical Marijuana as three steps and five procedures for the user-centered consumption process direction study, and created a consumption journey map through user interviews with experience of purchasing Medical Marijuana to find the pain point in the consumption process. Then, based on the case studies of the United States and Canada, three scenarios applicable to Korea were presented according to the scope of implementation. It is meaningful that it is a user-centered study based on the experience of Medical Marijuana consumers and it is expected to be used as reference data in improving the consumption process in the future.

As the concept of open source extends beyond the scope of software, many companies are also introducing business models using open source concepts. This study is a study on how to create a web-based open-source platform using a 3D printer and aims to create an open-source platform modeled on the Kidults community where users are highly willing to participate. The research method established the direction of initial platform production by collecting basic data through the usability of the platform and Toy design preferences and propensity analysis through research on open source use cases by various companies and user surveys in the Kidults Community. Features unique platform Toy sources that are freely reinterpreted by the user and re-shared and sold to the platform. Research should continue to boost user motivation by activating communities within the platform.

The purpose of this study was to identify the status of adolescents' user satisfaction with the 22 libraries of Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education and to improve the quality of information services for adolescents by improving the factors of dissatisfaction, and ultimately, to activate the use of young adults in the libraries of the Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education. In addition, in the transition to the digital age, it was attempted to investigate the use of Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education Digital Library in the context of the inevitable change of reading media. Through this, this study suggested planning a reading program that could arouse adolescents' interest and reflect new information technologies, improving the scope and system of e-book services, linking with school libraries, and restructuring library' space.

The purpose of this study is to investigate and analyze the present state of elementary school libraries in Daejeon Metropolitan City. For this 50 schools are surveyed by questionnaires on two groups of teachers, those that take charge of school library and those who do not. As a results of this research following issues are emerged. First, the present state of surveyed school libraries is below standard with regard to the amount of books and size and it is required to improve these poor conditions. Second, the space programs are not sufficient to conduct enlarging scope of school libraries, which is conspicuous in spaces for affording librarians, supporting various activities and serving user's convenience. Third, in spite of poor conditions in school library facilities, respondents' satisfaction rate is not so low and there's no obvious demand for diversity of spaces.

This thesis examines the problems faced in the electronic trade specialized service provider for which improvements are necessary, and suggests various ways of overcoming those problems. First, from the legal aspect, it is necessary to clarify the scope of duties as well as to expand the threshold for entrance and business areas through the amendment of related laws. Second, from the operating aspect, the e-trade specialized service provider should be able to provide convenient work spaces through user-centered interface by connecting, integrating, automating and simplifying various services scattered around through the establishment of an operating system. Third, from the institutional aspect, trade firms should be able to perform e-trade duties without difficulties by specializing and increasing the size of the e-trade specialized service provider system and strengthening job competence. For this, it is required to improve legal registration requirements to enhance the reliability of the e-trade specialized service provider system and secure its financial capacity.

This paper presents a user preference description for graphics contents that is developed in the process of the MPEG-21 DIA(Digital Item Adaptation) standard. The description scheme in this paper is proposed by the authors and adopted in the current AM (Adaptation Model) document of the MPEG-21 DIA. The goal of MPEG-21 standard is providing a multimedia framework that Provides augmented and transparent use of digital contents across various networks and terminals fur the life cycle of digital contents. DI (Digital Item) is a standardized basic unit of digital contents for transaction in the scope of MPEG-21. DIA contains both media resources and metadata including rights information.

Overhead cranes which carry heavy items in construction or production areas consist of structure and electric modules. More than 80% of breakdowns bring out of the electric module. As operators do not know all about cranes, it sometimes takes much time to repair the cranes. In order to resolve this problem, the expert system which can diagnose causes of faults and give instructions for repair to operators, has been developed. The scope of the paper is limited to the electric module. First of all, analyzing symptoms and causes, we have developed a rule base with the expert system shell, EXSYS. Furthermore, for the facility maintenance including repair instructions against the causes, the instruction data base was developed with FOXPRO. On the other hand, for the help of user's understanding the fault causes, the graphic animation module which shows malfunctioning component ports or motions in 3D was developed with the graphic software, TOPAS VGA.

Despite various types of online social networks having different topological and functional characteristics, the kinds of online social networks considered in social recommendations are highly restricted. The pervasiveness of social networks has brought scholarly attention to expanding the scope of social recommendations into more diverse and less explored types of online social networks. As a preliminary attempt, this study examined the information-sharing patterns of a new type of online social network - unilateral (directed) network - and assessed the feasibility of the network as a useful information source. Specifically, this study mainly focused on the presence of shared interests in unilateral networks, because the shared information is the inevitable condition for utilizing the networks as a feasible source of personalized recommendations. As the results, we discovered that user pairs with direct and distant links shared significantly more similar information than the other non-connected pairs. Individual users' social properties were also significantly correlated with the degree of their information similarity with social connections. We also found the substitutability of online social networks for the top cohorts anonymously chosen by the collaborative filtering algorithm.

A study of the conceptual data modeling to realize the decommissioning database on the HRR-1&2 was carried out. In this study, the current state of the abroad decommissioning database was investigated to make a reference of the database. A scope of the construction of decommissioning database has been set up based on user requirements. Then, a theory of the database construction was established and a scheme on the decommissioning information was classified . The facility information, work information, radioactive waste information, and radiological information dealing with the decommissioning database were extracted through interviews with an expert group and also decided upon the system configuration of the decommissioning database. A code which is composed of 17 bit was produced considering the construction, scheme and information. The results of the conceptual data modeling and the classification scheme will be used as basic data to create a prototype design of the decommissioning database.
