This paper presents a 24 channel capacitive touch sensing ASIC. This ASIC consists of analog circuit part and digital circuit part. Analog circuits convert user screen touch into electrical signal and digital circuits represent this signal change as digital data. Digital circuit also has an I2C interface for operation parameter reconfiguration from host machine. This interface guarantees the stable operation of the ASIC even against wide operation condition change. This chip is implemented with 0.18 um CMOS process. Its area is about 3 $mm^2$ and power consumption is 5.3mW. A number of EDA tools from Cadence and Synopsys are used for chip design.

This paper develops a new system for remotely monitoring and controlling the windows and doors in mobile environment. We design and implement the opening and shutting unit, the gateway, and the control server system, respectively. The opening and shutting unit consists of the driver using DC motor and the motion controller which monitors the state and transfers the control information. The gateway supports TCP/IP and CDMA protocol, which is the interface of wire and wireless communication for transferring the current state and control information. The control server consists of the program to store and process the control information, the middleware to support the processing of various state message, and DB for monitoring the state and remotely controlling the system. Especially, an application software and the Web-based user interface have also been developed to support the mobile environment. The operation performances, environment influences, driving persistences, and operation failure ratio, which are based on PC and smart-phone, have been tested in 2 authorized agencies. The test results show that the developed system has a superior performance.
This paper discusses the design of a working system that visually recognizes hand gestures for the control of a window based user interface. We present a method for tracking the fingertip of the index finger using a single camera. Our method is based on CAMSHIFT algorithm and performs better than the CAMSHIFT algorithm in that it tracks well particular hand poses used in the system in complex backgrounds. We describe how the location of the fingertip is mapped to a location on the monitor, and how it Is both necessary and possible to smooth the path of the fingertip location using a physical model of a mouse pointer. Our method is able to track in real time, yet not absorb a major share of computational resources. The performance of our system shows a great promise that we will be able to use this methodology to control computers in near future.

With the rapid change of the Web and E-transaction application, the search interface is providing more powerful search and visualization methods, while offering smoother integration of technology with task. Especially, visualization techniques for long menu-lists are applied in retrieval system with the goal of improving performance in user's ability to select one item from a long list. In order to review visualization techniques appropriate to the types of users and data set, this study compared the five visualization browsers such as the Tree-structured menu, the Table-of-contents menu, the Roll-over menu, the Click menu, and Fisheye menu. The result of general analyses shows that among the hierarchical methods, the experienced group prefers the Table-of-contents method menu, whereas the novice's group prefers the Tree-structure method menu. Among the linear methods, the two groups prefer the Roll-over menu. The Roll-over menu is most preferred among the five browsers by the two groups.
In the modern business environment, ERP System is a tool for efficient use of the resources of the company. Implementation of the ERP System is not a simple introduction of the unit system. The changes and innovation of the company will be made through the BPR. And then, the BPR is made based on the system design and implementation. Cultural difference creates a difference in the attitudes and relationships of members of company. and, Cultural difference produce differences in organizational culture and operating principles. Cultural differences can mention the differences in the cultures of East and West, and can mention the difference between each country within the same culture. In the paper, we determine the impact of cultural differences on the implementation of the ERP System. Cultural differences affect the implementation process and the decision-making process, user interface.

The study proposes component models in developing an efficient platform for internet-based structural analysis. Since a structural analysis requires an operation of complicated algorithms, a client-side computation using X-Internet is preferred to a server-side computation to provide a flexible service for multi-users. To compete with the user-friendly interfaces of available commercial analysis programs, a window-based interface using Smart Client was applied. Also, component-based programming was performed with the considerations on reusability and expandability so that active Preparation for future change or modification could be feasible. The components describe the whole system by subdivision and simplification. In the relationship between upper-and lower-level components and also in the relationship between components and objects, a unified interface was used to clearly classify the connection between the libraries. By performing data communication between different types of platforms using XML WebService, a conner-stone of data transfer is proposed for the future integrated CAE. The efficiency of the developed platform has been examined through a sample structural analysis and design on planar truss structures.
Social issues for environmental pollution are continuously increasing globally. Especially, Users require services to measure environmental factors in indoor and outdoor and manage related data effectively and conveniently. According to this demand, sensors that can measure environmental factors in indoor and outdoor have been developed. However, since one sensor is composed of independent module, the interface of output data from each sensor is different. To solve the problem, we propose a customized protocol for low-power short-range wireless communication between smartphone using Bluetooth and All-in-One sensor device board and analyze the performance of the proposed customized protocol by developing program for performance verification of interface with user smartphone through Bluetooth. In addition, we implement a smartphone application using proposed protocol.
This study explored Korean college students' smartphone game behavior for the pastime. Smartphone games have weakness that is not appropriate for playing the game because of small screen and non-sophisticated interface for operation. To defeat the disadvantage, the games employed minimalism like conciseness or simplicity. The study explored how conciseness influences perceived ease of use, perceived enjoyment, flow, and intent to use the game through PLS path modeling. We found that every hypothesis except a path, perceived ease of use to flow, proved significant. This result means that smartphone game design should consider the interface of users' convenience and user experience practically. Finally, based on the findings, suggestions for future studies were discussed.
In this paper, we propose a monitoring method of smartphone to integrate IoT technology to monitor the state of the vehicle for fault diagnosis of E-Mobility power converter. In China, EV regulations are being implemented to promote technological development and market changes in electric vehicles. To meet this trend, E-Mobility should study suitable monitoring technology. The OBD-II method used in existing automobiles is a wired / wireless communication method. In order to apply it to E-Mobility, additional interface and communication link are required. In this paper, we propose a technology to monitor the status information of power converter for E-Mobility by combining existing technology with IoT. This technology simplifies the existing network protocol and hardware interface, and confirms that the E-Mobility power converter and smartphone can be interworked for easy user monitoring. And we have done research to make high value product design from the aspect of function.

The information systems in the most enterprise environments are distributed locally and are comprised with various heterogeneous data sources, so that it is difficult to obtain necessary and integrated information for supporting user decision. For solving 'this problems efficiently, it provides uniform interface to users and constructed database systems between heterogeneous systems make a consistence each independence and need to provide transparency like one interface. This paper presents XMDR that consists of category, standard ontology, location ontology and knowledge base. Standard ontology solves heterogeneous problem about naming, attributes, relations in data expression. Location ontology is a mediator that connects each legacy systems. Knowledge base defines the relation for sharing glossary. Adaptive retrieve proposes integrated retrieve system through reflecting site weight by location ontology, information sharing of various forms of knowledge base and integration and propose conceptual domain model about how to share unstructured knowledge.
