This paper is aimed to design an intelligent military decision aiding system in a network computing environment, especially focusing on designing an intelligent analytic system that has data mining tools and inference engine. Through this study, we concluded that the intelligent analytic system can aid military decision making processes. Highlights of the proposed system are as follows : 1) Decision making time can be reduced by the On-line and Real-time analysis ; 2) Intelligent analysis on military decision problems in network computing environments in enabled; 3) The WWW-based implementation models, which provide a standard user interface with seamless information sharing and integration capability and knowledge repository.

본 논문에서는 웹표준화 기술 중 HTML5/CSS3, Mobile JQuery를 사용하여 다양한 모바일 플랫폼 환경에서 독립적으로 실행가능하며, 사용자에게 사용자 친화적인 웹 인터페이스 및 동적인 웹 설계를 통하여 모바일 단말 상에서 모바일 오피스 시스템을 사용할 시 사용자에게 불편함을 덜어줄 수 있는 하이브리드 웹 애플리케이션 기반의 모바일 오피스 시스템을 구현하였다.

본 논문은 GUI(Graphical User interface) 환경에서 MPGE-1 영상 편집을 위한 시스템 도구(Tool)를 기술한다. 기존에 출시된 제품은 일반적으로 AVI 나 MOV 포맷(format)을 사용하는데 비하여 본 논문에서는 MPGE-1을 압축 영역 상태에서 편집함으로써 영상의 품질과 저장의 효율성 및 처리속도에 많은 이점을 두었다. 편집 작업은 Random Access 의 기본 단위가 되는 GOP(Group of Picture) 단위의 경계 편집을 사용하여 영상 편집 기능인 Copy, Paste, Cut, Undo등을 기술하였다. 또한 효율적인 편집 환경을 위해 편집 윈도우 형태를 클립 청, 클립 정보 창, 편집 창, 재생 창, 미리 보기 창으로 구분하였다. 편집된 영상은 효율적 재생을 위하여 DirectDraw을 사용하였다. 본 논문에서 소개한 편집 시스템은 GUI 기반으로 사용자에게 익숙한 사용자 인터페이스 환경을 기술하였다.

가장 방대한 정보 도서관인 월드 와이드 웹(WWW)에서는 지난 몇 년 동안 멀티미디어 문서의 사용이 폭발적으로 증가했다. 따라서 인터넷의 사용자나 정보 제공자들이 멀티미디어 문서를 저장하거나 교환할 때 멀티미디어 데이터를 어떻게 효과적으로 표현하느냐가 가장 중대한 문제점으로 부각되고 있다. 현재 메타 데이터 모델을 표현하는 데는 다양한 방법들이 존재한다. 본 논문에서는 그 중 가장 일반적으로 사용하는 Dublin Core와 활발한 연 활동이 이루어 지고 있는 MPEG-7의 두 개 표준을 사용하여 새로운 메타 데이터 모델을 제시하고자 한다. Dublin Core는 기존의 문서들의 메타 데이터를 15개의 중요 요소들로 표현하는 것이고, MPEG-7은 멀티미디어 데이터의 내용을 체계적으로 표현하고자 하는 표준안이다. 본 논문에서 제시한 새로운 메타 데이터 모델은 Dublin Core를 MPEG-7의 의미적 요소를 표현하도록 하여 두 표준의 장점을 살려 멀티미디어 데이터를 효과적으로 표현 할 수 있는 메타 데이터 모델을 제안하였다. 또한 이 메타 데이터 모델을 XML DTD로 표현하고자 한다. 그러나, XML DTD는 일반 사용자들이 처음부터 작성하기는 쉽지 않다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 제안한 메타 데이터 모델을 XML DTD 쉽게 작성할 수 있는 사용자 인터페이스를 구현하였다.

분산되어 있는 여러 운영계 시스템에서 대용량의 교통자료를 가져와 교통정보 이력자료를 분석할 수 있는 단일 통합 교통 데이터베이스를 구축한다. 품질 평가, 오류 판단, 결측보정과 평활화 등의 자료처리 과정을 거친 교통자료는 자료의 신뢰도를 판단하고 활용도를 높일 수 있게 해주며 이용자에게 고속도로 통행료 수납자료, 고속도로 전자통행료 수납자료, 차량검지장치자료, 도로전광표지자료, 돌발상황자료, 기상자료, 차량번호인식장치자료 등에 대한 검색 및 자료 처리 기능을 제공한다.

원격 교육 시스템에서 화상 교육의 기능을 제공하는 교사나 학습자가 모두 카메라가 달린 PC 앞에 앉아서 약속된 시간에 개설된 교과목으로 세션으로 들어가서 수업을 진행하고, 학생들의 질문 요청이 있을 때, 이에 대한 답변을 파일 또는 화상으로 제공하고 있다. 그러나, 강의실에서 프로젝트 등을 이용하여 강의를 할 경우의 강의 장면을 실시간으로 원격지 학생들에게 제공할 수 있는 기능들에 대해서는 현재 가상 대학 시스템에서 고려를 하지 않고 있는 것 같다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 실시간 원격 강의를 효율적으로 수행할 수 있는 환경을 제공하기 위한 시스템을 설계하고 이에 대한 프로타입을 만들었다. 본 논문에서 제안하는 시스템을 가상 대학에서 뿐만 아니라 여러 분야에서 원격 프리젠테이션이 필요할 때 효과적으로 이용할 수 있으리라 생각된다.

오늘날 세계는 4차 산업의 흐름속에 놓여져있고, 컴퓨터는 단순히 소프트웨어적인 부분에서 벗어나 각종 센서들과 인터넷 등 다양한 장치들과의 결합을 통합하여 스마트 폰, 드론 등과 같은 복합적인 결과물들이 생겨나고 있다. 그렇지만 우리는 이러한 제품들을 간단하 설명 혹은 때로는 아무런 설명서 없이 직관적으로 사용한다. 그 부분에 의문이 생겼고 그렇게 조사한 결과 가장 중요한 역할을 하는 분야가 다름아닌 디자인의 UI임을 알았다. 각종 센서들의 결정체이자 4차 산업의 핵심 산물 중 하나인 드론을 중심으로 UI를 연구해볼 것이며, 또 드론 시장을 이끌어가는 중국 제품을 중심으로 살펴보고 앞으로의 UI디자인의 방향등을 연구할 것이다. 더 나아가 4차 산업에서 디자인이 어떤 역할을 하는지 심도있게 고찰해보고자 한다.

WebME is an Web-based integrated modeling environment that implements a multi-facetted modeling approach to mathematical model representation and management. Key features of WebME include the following: (i) sharing of modeling knowledge on the Web, (ii) a user-friendly interface for creating, maintaining, and solving models, (iii) independent management of mathematical models from conceptual models, (iv) object-oriented conceptual blackboard concept, (v) multi-facetted mathematical modeling modeling, and (vi) declarative representation of mathematical knowledge. This paper presents details of design and implementation issues that were encountered in the development of WebME.

V-belt pulleys play a key role in driving cooling pump, oil pump, air-conditioner and so on by using an engine power. Precision deep drawing is one of the main processes for manufacturing the pulleys. Operation variables of the deep drawing equipment, called the setup parameter, must be re-determined whenever the specifications of pulley to be produced are changed. The defect rates during a setup of equipment and the working hours needed for the setup are almost dependent on workers' know-how. This study designs the program for easily determining setup conditions in pulley manufacturing process.

A human-friendly interactive system that is based on the harmonious symbiotic coexistence of human and robots is explored. Based on this interactive technology paradigm, a robotic cane is proposed for blind or visually impaired travelers to navigate safely and quickly through obstacles and other hazards faced by blind pedestrians. The proposed robotic cane, "RoJi,” consists of a long handle with a button-operated interface and a sensor head unit that is attached at the distal end of the handle. A series of sensors, mounted on the sensor head unit, detect obstacles and steer the device around them. The user feels the steering command as a very noticeable physical force through the handle and is able to follow the path of the robotic cane easily and without any conscious effort. The issues discussed include methodologies for human-robot interactions, design issues of an interactive robotic cane, and hardware requirements for efficient human-robot interactions.ions.
