Information Centric Networking is changing the way how content is being transmitted. The shift from IP and host based networking towards content based networking scenario is growing day by day. Many researches have been done about different frameworks of ICN. Caching is an important part of ICN and many researchers have also proposed different ways for caching the data. With caching of data in intermediate devices like the network devices as well the user devices in some cases, the issue of content security as well as the role of the content producer becomes a major concern. A modified ICN architecture based on the current Content Centric Networking (CCN) model is presented in the paper. The architecture mainly focuses on involving the content producer in content delivery in the real time. The proposed architecture provides better security aspects for the CCN architecture. Apart from security the paper will also consider the issue of applicability of CCN architecture to replace the TCP/IP based architecture. The efficiency of the proposed architecture is compared with the previous CCN architecture based on the response time for a content delivery which shows very comparable level of efficiency. The paper than analyzes different beneficial aspects of the proposed architecture over the current architecture.

Cellular automata have been applied to simulations in many fields such as astrophysics, social phenomena, fire spread, and evacuation. Using cellular automata, this study develops a model for consequence analysis of the dispersion of hazardous chemicals, which is required for risk assessments of and emergency responses for frequent chemical accidents. Unlike in cases of detailed plant safety design, real-time accident responses require fast and iterative calculations to reduce the uncertainty of the distribution of damage within the affected area. EPA ALOHA and KORA of National Institute of Chemical Safety have been popular choices for these analyses. However, this study proposes an initiative to supplement the model and code continuously and is different in its development of free software, specialized for small and medium enterprises. Compared to the full-scale computational fluid dynamics (CFD), which requires large amounts of computation time, the relative accuracy loss is compromised, and the convenience of the general user is improved. Using Python open-source libraries as well as meteorological information linkage, it is made possible to expand and update the functions continuously. Users can easily obtain the results by simply inputting the layout of the plant and the materials used. Accuracy is verified against full-scale CFD simulations, and it will be distributed as open source software, supporting GPU-accelerated computing for fast computation.
Advances in IoT data analysis technology have made it easier to analyze situation and provide interactive services based on the context. Most of digital signage application have been used to provide information uni-directionally, but in the future it will evolve to provide personalized content according to the individual user situation and responses. However, it is not easy to modify or apply the existing interactive digital signage platforms due to their hardware dependency. The proposed platform is modularized by dividing main functions into two, the cloud and the edge, so that advertisement resources can be easily generated and registered. Thus, interactive advertisement can be rendered in a timely manner based on sensor analysis results. At the edge, personal data can be processed to minimize privacy issues, and real-time IoT sensor data can be analyzed for quick response to the signage player. The cloud is easier to access and manage by multiple users than edge. Therefore, the signage content generation module improves accessibility and flexibility by handling advertisement contents in the cloud so that multiple users can work together on the cloud platform. The proposed platform was developed and simulated in two aspects. First is the provider who provides the signage service, and second is the viewer who uses the content of the signage. Simulation results show that the proposed platform enables providers to quickly construct interactive signage contents and responses appropriately to the context changes in real-time.

Electronic voting has been recognized as an alternative to complement the limitations of existing paper voting. At the same time, security concerns are being raised. This paper presents a blockchain-based electronic voting and survey system that can guarantee reliability. Our smart contract was created using Solidity on Ethereum which is a blockchain-based distributed computing platform, and the system was implemented in connection with the Javascript based user interface. In addition, in order to protect the personal information of participants, the system is generating hash of the personal data and storing the hash of users for the contract data. Since we exploited different kinds of languages for the system, we derived items of functionality testing and presented the functionality testing result. Moreover, we made use of the Chrome's performance evaluation functionality to see the response time of the blockchain-based system. In addition, we compared the performance with the system which has the same functionality on database. The contribution of this research is design and implementation of blockchain-based electronic voting system and presentation of the functionality and performance simulation result.
In the conduct of this study, a web-enabled healthcare system for the management of hypertension was implemented through a hyperlink-based inference approach. The hyperlink-based inference platform was implemented using the hypertext capacity of HTML which ensured accessibility, multimedia facilities, fast response, stability, ease of use and upgrade, and platform independency of expert systems. Many HTML documents, which are hyperlinked to each other based on expert rules, were uploaded beforehand to perform the hyperlink-based inference. The HTML documents were uploaded and maintained automatically by our proprietary tool called the Web-Based Inference System (WeBIS) that supports a graphical user interface (GUI) for the input and edit of decision graphs. Nevertheless, the editing task of the decision graph using the GUI tool is a time consuming and tedious chore when the knowledge engineer must perform it manually. Accordingly, this research implemented an automatic generator of the decision graph for the management of hypertension. As a result, this research suggests a methodology for the development of Web-enabled healthcare systems using the hyperlink-based inference approach and, as an example, implements a Web-enabled healthcare system for hypertension, a platform which performed especially well in the areas of speed and stability.
Delay and discontinuance phenomenon of service are cause by sudden increase of the network communication amount and the quantity consumed of resources when Internet users are driven excessively to a conventional single large database sewer. To solve these problems, spatial database cluster consisted of several single nodes on high-speed network to offer high-performance is risen. But, research about spatial join operation that can reduce the performance of whole system in case process at single node is not achieved. So, in this paper, we propose efficient parallel spatial join processing method in a spatial database cluster system that uses data partitions and replications method that considers the characteristics of space data. Since proposed method does not need the creation step and the assignment step of tasks, and does not occur additional message transmission between cluster nodes that appear in existent parallel spatial join method, it shows performance improvement of 23% than the conventional parallel R-tree spatial join for a shared-nothing architecture about expensive spatial join queries. Also, It can minimize the response time to user because it removes redundant refinement operation at each cluster node.
With advancements in technology of virtual reality, it is used for various purposes in many fields such as medical care and healthcare, but as the same time there are also increasing reports of nausea, eye fatigue, dizziness, and headache from users. These symptoms of motion sickness are referred to as cybersickness, and various researches are under way to solve the cybersickness problem because it can cause inconvenience to the user and cause adverse effects such as discomfort or stress. However, there is no official standard for the causes and solutions of cybersickness at present. This is also related to the absence of tools to quantitatively measure the cybersickness. In order to overcome these limitations, this study proposed quantitative and objective cybersickness evaluation method. We measured 128-channel EEG waves from ten participants experiencing visually stimulated virtual reality. We calculated the relative power of delta and alpha in 11 regions (left, middle, right frontal, parietal, occipital and left, right temporal lobe). Multiple regression models were obtained in a stepwise manner with the motion sickness susceptibility questionnaire (MSSQ) scores indicating the susceptibility of the subject to the motion sickness. A multiple regression model with the highest under the area ROC curve (AUC) was derived. In the multiple regression model derived from this study, it was possible to distinguish cybersickness by accuracy of 95.1% with 11 explanatory variables (PD.MF, PD.LP, PD.MP, PD.RP, PD.MO, PA.LF, PA.MF, PA.RF, PA.LP, PA.RP, PA.MO). In summary, in this study, objective response to cybersickness was confirmed through 128 channels of EEG. The analysis results showed that there was a clearly distinguished reaction at a specific part of the brain. Using the results and analytical methods of this study, it is expected that it will be useful for the future studies related to the cybersickness.
As the number of user increases according to the improvement of the network, the multi-thread schemes are used to process the service requests of several users who are connected simultaneously. The static thread pool scheme has the problem of occupying a static amount of system resources. On the other hand, the dynamic thread pool scheme can control the number of threads according to the users' requests. However, it has disadvantage that this scheme cannot react to the requests which are larger than the maximum value assigned. In this paper, a web server using a learning-based dynamic thread pool scheme is suggested, which will be running on a server programming of a multi-thread environment. The suggested scheme adds the creation of the threads through the prediction of the next number of periodic requests using Auto Regressive scheme with the web server apache worker MPM (Multi-processing Module). Unlike previous schemes, in order to set the exact number of the necessary threads during the unchanged number of work requests in a certain period, K-Nearest Neighbor algorithm is used to learn the number of threads in advance according to the number of requests. The required number of threads is set by comparing with the previously learned objects. Then, the similar objects are selected to decide the number of the threads according to the request, and they create the threads. In this paper, the response time has decreased by modifying the number of threads dynamically, and the system resources can be used more efficiently by managing the number of threads according to the requests.
The purpose of this study is to provide basic data to confirm the necessity and effectiveness of the memory school by investigating the perception of users and caregivers about the services and programs provided by the memory school, a social welfare institution for the elderly with minor dementia. For this purpose, 363 students and students in Daegu City were surveyed about the satisfaction and attitude of using memory school. As a result of the analysis, it was found that the use of the memory school is very helpful to the users, and at the same time, it is very meaningful for the decrease of the caregiver burden of the caregiver. Thus, it can be seen that the memory school has the effect of appropriately matching the installation purpose of the facility. In particular, it was found that the degree of satisfaction with the program level, type of service, and future sustainability of the memory school exceeded 90%. Therefore, this study aims to provide policy implications for the social welfare response for the elderly with mild dementia and for the basic data on the memory school for this purpose.
Government and public institutions have been releasing a number of mobile applications in order to provide diverse public services in the mobile environment. However, due to their one-sided and fragmented service with the lack of adequate care for users, the utilization rate is extremely poor. Therefore, this study, based on a relevant literature review, identified and derived the five key factors (usefulness, convenience, interactivity, information credibility, and social pressure) for users' mobile service adoption. Then, through in-depth interviews with five users and five experts regarding the 'business support app' of one public agency (H institution) that specializes in SMEs, we found that all of these factors are important for users' mobile service adoption. Users' satisfaction could be significantly improved through real-time response to their needs. In addition, providing them with useful and tailored information can lead to mutual trust between public institutions and users. Consequently, as these user-oriented services can increase users' loyalty and boost the utilization rate of the public apps, public institutions should always put persistent efforts to cope with users' demands.
