HCI를 통한 웹사이트 사용자 경험의 향상 방법 (Enhancing User Experience of Web Sites through HCI)

  • 최근 들어 국내의 인터넷이 성숙기에 접어들면서 인터넷 사이트들이 양적인 팽창에서 질적인 향상으로 옮겨감에 따라 H C I에 대한 관심이 높아지고 있다. 그러나 HCI가 구체적으로 어떻게 인터넷 사이트를 인터넷의 궁극적인 목적인 사용자의 경험을 극대화 시키는데 활용될 수 있는가에 대한 이해가 부족하다. 또한 HCI가 기업의 현실 속에 제대로 활용되기 위해서는 그 가치가 금전적 이익으로 환산될 수 있어야 하며 이를 기초로 기업의 경영자들을 설득할 수 있어야 한다. 이와 같은 맥락에서 이 글에서는 HCI가 기업에 어떤 이익을 가져 다 줄 수 있으며 사용자 인터페이스 디자인에 일반적으로 적용될 수 있는 연구 사례와 특정 디자인 과정에서 활용될 수 있는 연구 방법및 그 사례에 대해서 알아본다.

수사학적 관점에서의 인터넷 개인방송 크리에이터에 대한 이용자의 기부의사에 관한 연구 (User's Willingness to Donate to a Personal Broadcasting Creator From a Rhetorical View)

  • Purpose Recently, Internet personal broadcasting has been widely spreaded as a new media type by replacing traditional legacy media such as TV. Considering this phenomenon, this study aims to explore the effect of Aristoteles' persuasion factors on Internet personal broadcasting from a rhetorical view. The reason why users watch the Internet personal broadcasting is that they are persuaded by creator's expertness, empathy, or content usefulness. These factors can be regarded as persuasion factors. Therefore, with Aristoteles' rhetorical persuasion factors composed of ethos, pathos, and logos, this paper tries to investigate how persuasion factors affect user's emotional\ attachment and voluntary donation intention. Design/methodology/approach This paper proposes a model of the relationships among three rhetorical factors, user's emotional attachment, and donation intention. Specifically, ethos is regarded as creator's expertness and trustworthiness, and pathos refers to creator's empathy and social interaction. Last, logos refers to content usefulness and credibility. For testing a hypothetical research model, this study collected 468 surveys and empirically tested hypotheses using a structural equation model. Findings This study investigated how rhetorical factors (ethos, pathos, and logos) and emotional attachment further influence user's donation intention. The findings suggest that rhetorical factors of ethos and pathos enhances emotional attachment, followed by donation intention. Contrary to an expectation, however, logos was not significantly related to emotional attachment. Creators of Internet personal media and MCN providers should focus on the different effects of rhetorical factors and pay attention to the role of emotional attachment to encourage user donation.

User Clustering Scheme for Downlink of NOMA System

  • An improved clustering scheme based on user group is proposed. Every two users are grouped among N-users in the allowed system according to their link gain from large to small. Each user group is numbered sequentially. Two user clusters are obtained according to the principle of maximizing link gain difference for the users in the first and last user groups. The remaining user groups are added to the two existing user clusters according to the parity of the group number. The clustering should be clustered again among the users in either user cluster if the throughput summation of a user cluster in NOMA is less than that of these users in orthogonal multiple access. The simulation results show that the proposed clustering scheme can increase the system throughput by about 8% compared with the hybrid clustering scheme when the number of users requiring service is 12.

Interactive drawing with user's intentions using image segmentation

  • This study introduces an interactive drawing system, a tool that allows user to sketch and draw with his own intentions. The proposed system enables the user to express more creatively through a tool that allows the user to reproduce his original idea as a drawing and transform it using his body. The user can actively participate in the production of the artwork by studying the unique formative language of the spectator. In addition, the user is given an opportunity to experience a creative process by transforming arbitrary drawing into various shapes according to his gestures. Interactive drawing systems use the segmentation of the drawing image as a way to extend the user's initial drawing idea. The system includes transforming a two-dimensional drawing into a volume-like form such as a three-dimensional drawing using image segmentation. In this process, a psychological space is created that can stimulate the imagination of the user and project the object of desire. This process of drawing personification plays a role of giving the user familiarity with the artwork and indirectly expressing his her emotions to others. This means that the interactive drawing, which has changed to the emotional concept of interaction beyond the concept of information transfer, can create a cooperative sensation image between user's time and space and occupy an important position in multimedia society.

Adaptive Deadline-aware Scheme (ADAS) for Data Migration between Cloud and Fog Layers

  • The advent of Internet of Things (IoT) and the evident inadequacy of Cloud networks concerning management of numerous end nodes have brought about a shift of paradigm giving birth to Fog computing. Fog computing is an extension of Cloud computing that extends Cloud resources at the edge of the network, closer to the user. Cloud computing has become one of the essential needs of people over the Internet but with the emerging concept of IoT, traditional Clouds seem inadequate. IoT entails extremely low latency and for that, the Cloud servers that are distant and unknown to the user appear to be unsuitable. With the help of Fog computing, the Fog devices installed would be closer to the user that will provide an immediate storage for the frequently needed data. This paper discusses data migration between different storage types especially between Cloud devices and then presents a mechanism to migrate data between Cloud and Fog Layer. We call this mechanism Adaptive Deadline-Aware Scheme (ADAS) for Data migration between Cloud and Fog. We will demonstrate that we can access and process latency sensitive "hot" data through the proposed ADAS more efficiently than with a traditional Cloud setup.

사물인터넷 환경에서 RADIUS 프로토콜의 향상된 인증기법 (Improved authentication mechanism of the RADIUS protocol in the Internet of Things)

  • 사물인터넷은 네트워크에 연결된 사람, 사물, 공간 등 모든 것들(Things)이 실시간으로 데이터를 생성하고 해당 객체간의 정보가 수집, 공유, 활용되는 기술이나 환경을 일컫는다. 현재 헬스케어, 스마트홈 등 다양한 분야에서 연구가 진행이며 사물인터넷 환경에 지리적 공간과 인터넷 간의 연결성을 강조한 만물인터넷의 개념도 등장했다. 사람, 사물 등 각 객체간의 연결성이 중요하게 부각되면서 효율적이고 안전한 인증기술에 대한 연구가 진행 중이다. 이 논문에서는 사물인터넷 환경에서 사람, 사물 등 객체간의 상호인증을 위한 개선된 RADIUS(Remote Authentication Dial In User Service) 프로토콜을 제안한다.

최종사용자의 인터넷과 소셜 네트워크 보안 행동에 대한 실증 연구 (An Empirical Study about Internet and Social Network Security Behavior of End User)

  • The purpose of this study was to find about personal information security of internet and social networks by focusing on end users. User competence and subjective criterion, which are the antecedents, are affecting security behaviors For these security behaviors, the study examined the relationship between security behavior intention on internet use and security behavior intention about social network that is actively achieved in many fields. Behaviors of internet and social network were classified into an action of executing security and an action of using a security technology. In addition, this study investigated a theory about motivational factors of personal intention on a certain behavior based on theory of reasoned action in order to achieve the purpose of this study. A survey was conducted on 224 general individual users through online and offline, and the collected data was analyzed with SPSS 12.0 and SmartPLS 2.0 to verify demographic characteristics of respondents, exploratory factor analysis, and suitability of a study model. Interesting results were shown that security behavior intention of social network is not significant in all security behavior execution, which is security performance behavior, and security technology use. Internet security behavior is significant to security technology use but it does not have an effect on behavior execution.

Web에서의 협력 환경 구축 방안 연구 (A Study on the Construction Method of Collaboration Environment for Web)

  • 현재 World Wide Web (이하 Web) 자체를 일반 사용자들이 인터넷으로 인식하고 있는 상황에서 잘못된 정보의 전달은 매우 큰 문제이며, 이것은 존재하는 정보를 잘못 가공하는 데에서 기인하게 된다. 잘못 가공된 정보의 전달을 방지하는 방법으로 여러가지가 있으나, 이중 가장 대표적인 것으로 인식되는 것이 바로 CSCW이다. CSCW 환경은 클라이언트-서버 환경과 같은 단일 시스템에서의 공동 작업 공간을 다중의 사용자에게 제공하여 주는 것으로 인터넷 또는 인트라넷 환경과 같은 분산 공유 정보 시스템 환경 즉, 다중의 이질적인 시스템과 다중 사용자 환경에서 사용시는 다수의 추가적 요소를 필요로 하게 된다. 이러한 문제점을 해결하려는 것이 협력으로 폐쇄적인 인터넷인 인트라넷에서의 이질적인 전산환경 특히, 교육, 생산, 마케팅 분야 및 정부에서 사용시 많은 이점이 있다. 본 논문에서는 현재 협력의 골격이 되는 CSCW, 그룹 웨어등의 개념을 먼저 살펴보고, 다음으로 협력의 정의와 분류, 문제점 분석, 그리고 Web에서의 협력 환경 구축 방안에 대하여 기술하겠다.

인터넷뱅킹 성공모형에 관한 연구 (A Study on Success Model of Internet Banking)

  • 본 연구에서는 정보시스템 성공모형과 전자상거래 성공모형을 바탕으로 인터넷뱅킹의 특성과 성공요인을 반영한 인터넷뱅킹 성공모형을 설계하고 구조방정식 모형분석을 이용하여 모형의 유용성을 검증하였다. 구조방정식 모형을 통한 실증분석 결과, 사용의 용이성은 유용성과 사용자 만족, 신뢰에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며, 안전성은 신뢰에만 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 경제적 효익과 유용성, 신뢰는 사용자 만족에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며, 유용성과 사용자 만족은 행위의도에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 인터넷뱅킹 사용이 급격히 증대됨에 따라 인터넷뱅킹의 성공을 위해서는 다른 인터넷뱅킹 사이트보다 더 차별화된 서비스를 제공해야 할뿐만 아니라 안전하고 신뢰할 만한 인터넷뱅킹 사이트를 구축해야 한다. 따라서 인터넷뱅킹 성공을 가져다 줄 수 있는 인터넷뱅킹 성공모형을 통하여 다른 은행보다 훨씬 더 우수한 인터넷뱅킹 서비스를 제공할 수 있는 지속적인 평가와 개선이 이루어져야 할 것이다.

User Behavior of Mobile Enterprise Applications

  • Organizations have been implementing mobile applications that actually connect to their backend enterprise applications (e.g. ERP, SCM, etc.) in order to increase the enterprise mobility. However, most of the organizations are still struggling to fully satisfy their mobile application users with the enterprise mobility. Even though it has been regarded as the right direction that the traditional enterprise system should move on, the studies on the success model for mobile enterprise applications in user's acceptance perspective can hardly be found. Thus, this study focused not only to redefine the success of the mobile enterprise application in user's acceptance persepective, but also to find the impacts of the factors on user's usage behavior of the mobile enterprise applications. In order to achieve this, we adopted the Technology Acceptance Model 2 (TAM2) as a model to figure out the user's behavior on mobile applications. Among various mobile enterprise applications, this study chose mobile ERP since it is the most representing enterprise applications that many organizations have implemented in their backend. This study found that not all the constructs defined by Davis in TAM2 have a significant influence on user's behavior of the mobile-ERP applications. However, it is also found that most social influence processes of TAM2 influence user's perception of the degree of interaction by mobile-ERP applications.
