Object-oriented Web User-Interface Model for the Grid Portal (그리드 포탈을 위한 객체 기반의 웹 사용자 인터페이스)

  • Grid portal services provide more flexible research environment by overcoming time and space limit of existing application-based grid services. However user's requirements such as user interfaces are not clear during development cycle and changed frequently. Therefore it is necessary to reduce the cost for creating and maintaining user interfaces of grid services. In this paper, we suggest an object-oriented user control model which allows easier development of user interfaces and increases code reusability by abstracting objects from presentation layer of web. In this model, structure of presentation pages can be described more clearly and implementation of actions is simple and easy.

  • With the introduction of the 7th Curriculum, it has been put greater emphasis on learning by experience. This study aims to implement the quiz-based wireless application for helping to learn more effectively what one will see and hear on the spot when he visits the cultural assets. The materials about Busuk Temple, used as the example of the quiz-based assisted learning, were collected from the libraries and through the internet. And they were programmed using the basic components and properties of WML and then operated with UP SDK 4.0, Phone.com WAP development toolkit. This wireless application makes the user know if it is correct when he selects either O or X as the answer of each question, and shows the individual score after solving 10 questions in total. Each user can also have additional chances to solve them again, even though they doesn't influence the previous score. This study is focused on the implementation of the wireless application for assisted learning by a mobile phone which almost everybody will possess. Various kinds of wireless contents are expected to be developed and provided in the field of education.

  • The health of the companion animal is one of the most important factors for the owners. However, many owners are not aware of their companion's obesity condition. Data shows that 40% of dogs are suffering from obesity. This application is designed for and compatible with high-volume-user devices such as Android-based devices. The size of the application is reduced keeping standard data such as weight and vaccination date of species on servers and analyzing and fetching these data when user inquires about. Finally, the application has an added component of community space in order to share the knowledge among the number of users.

  • A variety of trials selecting necessary and valuable information from rapidly increasing volume of data are made, and as one of them, data mining methods is an interest. This methodology is increasingly appzied to information management field which consists of efficient processing and systemizing increasing digital documents for user service. This article analyzes theoletical background and empirical case studies of data mining, and predicts the possibility of its application to information management area.

  • This study was to explore the relationships between convention mobile applications, and convention participants' satisfaction and loyalty. Recently mobile applications by using smart-phone have been utilized to provide relevant information and contents, Similarly, convention industry utilize mobile application to provide convention program, speakers, and other information and contents, However, only few research has been conducted to investigate convention mobile application characteristics and benefits. This study provides the results of convention mobile application characteristics and its impacts on participants' satisfaction and loyalty. Among convention mobile application characteristics, conveniency and information are important factors to enhance convention participants' satisfaction and loyalty. More discussion and implication is provided in the conclusion section.

  • Presently SmartPhone users over the 15 million are expected to exceed 20 million people by the end of the year. The prevalence of SmartPhone has brought positive results with a new paradigm. But, It makes a result that SmartPhone user should concentrate on mobile device and interpersonal relationships are avoided. In this paper, we design and implement user network services that use a same application using located information based on android.

An Empirical Analysis of Public App Performance Based on Information System Success Model: The Moderating Effects of Service Quality of Public Web and Public Value (정보기술성공 모형 기반의 공공앱 성과에 대한 실증분석 : 공공웹 서비스품질과 공공가치의 조절효과)

  • Purpose The mail goal of this study is to find out factors influencing users' satisfaction of public application with the emphasis of service quality of public web and public value. For this purpose, we applied IS success model to develop the research model that explains users's satisfaction and public performance. Design/methodology/approach The proposed research model was developed based on IS success model along with two moderating effects - Service Quality of Public Web and Public Value in order to empirically test proposed causal relationships withing the model. A total of 377 survey responses were analyzed by forming the structural equation modeling with AMOS 24.0. Findings The analysis results show that the service, information, and system quality from IS success model are positively associated with user satisfaction, which in turn is positively associated with public app performance. The results also show that the relationship between user satisfaction and public app performance is positively moderated by public value. However, the relationship between public app service quality and user satisfaction isn't moderated by public web service quality.

  • This study proposes an Architecture for user level End-to-end Quality of Service(QoS) using overlay In Next Generation Network(NGN). Inexisting NGNs, the IMS of a control plane provides user QoS through direct traffic control and resource-reservation over the IP packet transport network of a user plane. Further, a set of torrent studies are ongoing not only to maximize the QoS for users, but also to minimize the quality deterioration for supporting the user End-to-end QoS. Along with that, an extended QoS in user level must be considered, for Instance, differentiating service quality to support users' expectation, providing optimized contents by users' equipments, and so forth. Accordingly, the Overlay Service Network Architecture proposed by this study provides protocol adaptation for maximum throughput on transport layer by using the most efficient transport layer protocol to various network circumstances. Also, the Overlay Service Network Architecture on application layer distributes processing delay from the data transformation process of the user equipment to the network, and it is capable of intermediate processing depending on user service level. application service feature, and equipment circumstance as well. Thus, this study mainly proposes the Overlay Service Network Architecture for user level end-to-end QoS in NGN with the quality control features both on the transport layer and the application layer, an internal component feature, and a service scenario providing the QoS linking with 3GPP.

  • Great many advertisements are serviced in on-line by development of electronic commerce and internet user's rapid increase recently. However, this advertisement service is stopping in one-side service of relevant advertisement rather than doing users' inclination analysis to basis. Therefore, want advertisement service that many websites are personalized for efficient service of relevant advertisement and service through relevant server's log analysis research and enforce. Take advantage of log data of local system that this treatise is not analysis of server log data and analyze user's Preference degree and inclination. Also, try to propose advertisement system personalized by making relevant site tributary category and give weight of relevant tributary. User's preference user preference which analysis is one part of cooperation fielder ring of web personalized techniques use information in visit site tributary and suppose internet user's action in visit number of times of relevant site and try inclination analysis of mixing form. Express user's preference degree by vector, and inclination analysis result uninterrupted data that simplicity application form is not regarded and techniques that propose inclination analysis change of data since with move data use and analyze newly and proposed so that can do continuous renewal and application as feedback Sikkim. Presented method that can choose advertisements of relevant tributary through this result and provide personalized advertisement service by applying process such as user inclination analysis in advertisement chosen.

  • The terrestrial-digital multimedia broadcasting(T-DMB) is now provided for the public service and the number of receivers reaches 15 million at the present of August 2008. The service of T-DMB itself has been succeeded in the presence. It is however remained as a supplementary role of stationed TV. It is necessary to find an additional business model as a new media to acquire surplus escaping from the deficit of the present T-DMB service. In the present paper, data service of T-DMB is proposed as candidate of such solution. Especially, TTI(Traffic and Travel Information) service is proposed as a killer application using TPEG(Transport Protocol Experts Group). At present, TPEG has not been so popular in the sense of various user satisfaction. Thus the variety of service including bi-directional service using DMB2.0 as in the sphere of Web2.0 is necessary for the service providers. In the paper, the restriction of TPEG-POI(Point of Interest) application service using the conventional mobile communication infrastructure is indicated. To overcome such restriction, TPEG-UCM(User Created Message) application service model using individual bi-directional media which is initiated and interacting by the users is proposed. In the experiment, the application program shows the usability of the proposed method so that the implementation results show its operability.
